Kevin's POV: "Dad! I really don't wanna goooooo." I whined as my dad insisted on taking me to a party. "Look..I need you to be safe and for that I have to keep you under my watch. After all those attacks, I just can't leave you alone." He sighed "Not even for few hours? Are you really Kidding me dad?" I asked in disbelief My dad is working under the mafia. These days, he has been extremely worried about me..his only son because the other rivals have involved his family in their fight. Recently I was a victim to their attacks. I survived but still dad can't get this out of his head. I'm now staying at home.. skipping college. "Get ready now." Dad said "I don't want to go to that boring party!" I pouted "Don't be stubborn Kevin." He warned I got up and walked to the door. "No one understands me. I should just leave this house." I faked a cry "And there goes the drama queen." My dad mumbled "I heard you dad!" I said "If you did then get ready soon. I don't have time." He raised his voice "I knew it. You don't care about me at all. You are not my real dad. You picked me up from somewhere." I said "No one is stupid enough to pick up a trash like you. So stop your drama as it's not gonna work on me." He sighed Wow! My dad actually thinks of me as a trash... can't he be a bit considerate like other parents? I went near mom's picture. She passed away when I was a kid. Since then dad has raised me to be a spoilt brat.. literally "I really hate your husband! Why didn't you knock some sense into him before you left?" I asked the picture My dad followed me and walked towards the picture "Sweetheart..why couldn't you just give birth to a normal child?" He asked Mom Did he just called me abnormal? "Did you just bad-mouth me?" I asked in disbelief "You just realized?" He asked as if it was an obvious thing. "I really hate you dad!" I yelled "The feeling's mutual son." He sighed "I'm gonna find another dad." I yelled I won't let him win this argument! "No one's gonna take you. Lol..who's your provider besides me? How are you gonna pay for your games if you are penniless?" He asked "I'm going!" I said and was walking towards my room Shit! At the end dad always wins. "Pathetic child!" I heard him mumble "For your kind information. I'm your DNA." I yelled earning a chuckle from him "Okay okay..go now." He said I went towards my room with a furious Expression. Damn..these mafia..they caused me to get grounded. Author's POV: Kevin's dad watched him Leaving as he gave a sad smile. He looked at his wife's picture "I promise. I will keep my word. I will keep our son safe. I won't let him suffer like how you did." A tear rolled down his cheek The memories flashed in his mind. When Kevin was still a kid and his wife was mercilessly killed. He couldn't save his wife as he had to protect his son. That was his wife's last wish. After the recent attacks on Kevin, Jes really worried. Staying with the mafia isn't safe anymore. Tonight, he will put an end to this. He will officially hand his position over to someone else and leave this country with Kevin. Staying here is dangerous. But he can't risk Kevin's life either.
