Riley - POV "Wolf's realm is planning to recruit female fighters, and I know that you have learned combat skills and you are also a black belt in karate, so you are an excellent candidate to act as our mole among them," Nick spoke with a grin on his face. I despise this guy's grin to the core. "I'm not a she-wolf, and I'm sure they'll figure it out when they see me walking through the realm" I said. Nick sighed at me, rolled his eyes. "This potion will turn you into a she-wolf, and you will also be able to transform into a wolf, but this dose will only be effective until the month after the month you report back to us." Nick pushed the blue substance and stared at the bottle, then at me. "When must I begin my mission?" I asked. " You'll need to move to the Wolf realm right away with a backpack of clothes. We created a fake ID card that says you live in the southern regions of the Wolf realm. Also, just remember the Alpha of that region's name is Killian. In the Wolf records, you're an orphan ", Nick elaborated. "Could I meet my family before leaving?" Nick considers my request and then nods in agreement. It makes me happy but I didn't show my emotions in front of Nick. The guards walked me out and drove me to a different location, blind folds on my eyes, so I didn't see the route. When the blindfolds were removed from my eyes, I could see my parents chained in the prison. As they saw me, mum and dad gave me a bright smile. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you, sweetheart?" dad inquires. "Don't be concerned about me; they have assigned me a task, and once that is completed, they will release you from the prison," I responded, trying to keep my emotions under control. My mother looks at me closely as she studies the emotion I am hiding. "Can you tell me what the task is?" mom inquired. "I can't reveal anything Mom, but don't worry; put your trust in me." My mother nodded and smiled in response. "I have faith in you Riley, you will get us out of this situation." Mom expresses confidence, and Dad nods in agreement. I smile through my tears of pain and joy at the same time. Knowing my mother and father's faith in me. "Enough, we need to get going." The guard's voice came in a freezing tone. I kissed my mother and father on the cheeks before leaving with my eyes blindfolded. The guards lead me out of the truck, my hands still handcuffed to my body, restrained by magic. Finally, Blindfold's off me, and I notice Nick standing there, smirking, wearing a black leather jacket. To be completely honest, this guy has a gorgeous Tyrant appearance. "I hope you had a good time reuniting with your family," Nick asked, taunting. I scowled at Nick, who should stop his act of kindness. Nick only allowed me to meet my parents because Nick wanted to give me a final warning. I learned that later. Nick asked me to drink the potion in front of him that would transform me into a fake she-wolf. "Remove the handcuffs from her wrist. Will need to wait for the potion to work on her first, then teleport you to the wolf realm." Nick gave orders to the guards and the witch, who stood next to him in a black cloak without revealing her identity, and began preparing the teleportation process. I felt dizzy as they removed the handcuffs from my wrist; the dull magic stored in my body had now flowed through my veins, and I could feel my vampire magic attempting to fight the potion I had taken. However, I gradually controlled my power to allow the liquid potion to work in me. "My name is Fifi, and I am your wolf for the time being." In my head, a voice purred. It startled me. "So you can hear the voice of the temporary she-wolf?" the witch inquired, and I nodded, attempting to stand up on the snowy ground. "How am I able to hear the wolf in my head? I'm a vampire, and the wolf despises us." As Nick was busy speaking with the soldiers, I asked the witch in hushed tones. "Wolf does not despise vampires; it is the shifters' human side that despises vampires. What you are hearing is the wolf who has agreed to work with us. In exchange, you will have to share your power. That is Wolf Fifi's deal." The witch explains, leaving me in surprise to learn this new information. "Wow, this is incredible!" I whispered. Witch just looked and gave me an amused look at me with an onyx gaze that was only visible to me as she covered her face with a mask. "Keep moving; we need to teleport you without arousing the wolf's realm guard's caution." Witch spoke as she strode to the magical circle, and I trailed behind her, holding the clothing backpack. I'm the only one left standing, and the others who were with me were nowhere to be found, so Nick must have assigned them some task. The portal and the wind dancing around me sucked my body in. I felt nausea. As my stomach tightened even more as the portal spat me out. My body landed hard on the ground, and I groaned from the impact. Teleportation is going to kill me. I growled inwardly. I looked around, and the snowy weather had vanished, replaced by the sun shining and a clear sky. Since I am a hybrid, I can walk outside in the sun, whereas my mother cannot. She wears a pendant made of blue topaz to assist her in walking outside in the sun, as she could die without a necklace. Dusting myself off and putting my backpack on. I heard a deep voice speak. "Hey, what's your name?" "Riley Laurier, I'm from the southern region and I'm here to take the military entrance exam." The man gave me a suspicious look for a couple of seconds, but I kept my straight face on and didn't sweat under his gaze. The man looked at me with intense emerald eyes that reminded me of someone I'd seen before.
