Chapter One Pt. II

With the cacophony of the horn and the blinding lights, both Gilbert and Maria panicked in silence; not knowing what to do and in no time, the vehicle hit near Maria’s door and sent Gilbert’s car skidding towards the trees where it got stuck. The driver of the other car reversed. Their car was not spared from damaged but they were able to use to escape. Gilbert looked over at Maria. Her face was badly wounded and blood was oozing out profusely. He tried to move but he was stuck and suddenly, his nostrils caught the scent of diesel and before he could even deduce what was happening, the car went into flames.

Meanwhile, Kimora came running into her house, startling the partiers. She rushed up the stairs and went into her room. Penny also came in from the back door, looking worried and disturbed. Tasha and Coral approached her.

“Hey, are you okay?” Coral asked her.

“I am fine.” Penny answered hastily.

“Where did you go?”

“I was in the bathroom.” Penny said and tried to leave. She bumped into Christopher who was just coming in, looking worried and distressed as well.

“Hey watch it!” Penny told him. Christopher hid his hands behind his back and walked away without saying anything. Penny turned to her friends smiled and rushed out.
