Cursed Bride

Morning rays fell on her face, making her clear yet white skin shone more than the glass window she as leaning into. she inhaled a sharp breath as she smiled closing her eyes, morning like this were her favorite where you could see the bright blue sky with white clouds that she assumed make different shapes and figure which she liked to recognize. the chirping sounds of bird was very soothing and she lazily stretched her arms. "princess?" she heard the voice of old man, disturbing her from her little paradise "are you ready? come down for breakfast" she realized, she was in trouble. "yes dad" she hurriedly shut the sliding glass window and came back to her room, she was supposed to be on dining table by now! she hurriedly slid into one of her favorite crop top and a flowy skirt that ended just above her knees. combing her light brown wavy hair she let them loose and pushed them back that covered her till her lower back. she then moved to her eyes and applied a bit of mascara on her long eyelashes enchanching the sea blue orbs of her eyes and lastly a stroke of pink lipstick and she was ready, serving the looks of an angel. she put her heels on and went downstairs and kissed her dad on the cheek "good morning dad!" she chirped happily as she side hugged her dad who sat on the head chair while her mother gave her playful glare "is mama angry?" she whispered in her dad's ear to which he replied with "very" "mama! my sweet beautiful mama!" Ariel went to hug her mother but her mother sat there stiffly "I am sorry! I will wake up early from tomorrow" she pouted to which her mother smiled warmly at her childlike tactics. "oh god Ariel, grow up my child. you are getting married" Arina laughed at her daughter to which Ariel passed her a shy smile, caressing the beautiful diamond ring on her ring finger. the sound of their door bell was heard disturbing Petrova's family time and Arina looked at her husband confused. "did you invite someone Michael?" "no honey I didn't but let me see" Michael stood up from his seat and patted Ariel's head on his way out. he opened the door and found two men standing outside with a bouquet of red roses and some other gifts, dressed in black suite. "Mr. Petrova" they slightly bow down their head in respect acknowledging him. "yes? how may I help you gentlemen?" he asked confused. "can we come in?" one of them asked and Michael hesitated for a second but then decided to let them in. he guided them to the living room and asked them to sit and soon Arina joined her husband too. "who are they Michael?" Arina asked "Mrs. Petrova, I am Bash" Arina nodded "and I am Nate" "alright but how can we help you?" "we are here for Miss Petrova" Bash spoke first firmly. "our master has sent an invitation for her to join him for dinner tonight" "and who is this master of yours?" Ariel asked coming inside the room. "Ryan Armando" their voice was filled with proud and arrogance as they took his name and Ariel felt like she had heard this name somewhere but she didn't persist her mind much on it. "I am not interested and now you can leave" "I don't think it's a right decision, Miss Petrova" Nate challenged to which Bash held his hand back, stopping him. "you can't threaten my daughter in my own house!" Michael shouted angrily glaring at both the intruder. "get out right now!" Ariel spoke rather harshly to which they nodded and stood up ready to leave. "and take these flowers and gift back" Arina said but they didn't listened, deliberately ignoring her that boiled Ariel's blood, no one could insult her mother like this. she went ahead, grabbing the gifts and flowers went after them and as soon as they got out, she threw the flowers and gifts behind them "you can now pick it up" and closed the door on their face. Ariel huffed in anger as she closed the door shut and went inside only to find her mother on the couch crying and her dad comforting her. "what happened mama?" Ariel ran to her mother and sat on her knees before her. "Arina, stop crying you are scaring her" Michael said wiping her tears away. "what does that guy want from our daughter?" "don't worry mama! nothing happened" she soothed her mother. "do you know him? do you know who Ryan Armando is baby?" Arina asked cupping Ariel's face in her hands. "no mama and I am not interested in knowing him" Ariel stated matter of factly in a bored tone. "he is a son of a billianiore, a dangerous billianiore. he is the CEO of the Armando groups and richest man of the country" "I don't care who he is dad" Ariel said "I love Ian and we are engaged " "I know princess but I don't think a man like Ryan could take a rejection well" Michael was worried that even Ariel could see. "don't worry dad. there is nothing he can do and see his men are gone" Ariel assured her parents. she didn't know why they were so worried this time, it was just another proposal out of many. "come on mama! cheer up and I am hungry let's eat please and you didn't even serve me cake as well" Ariel tried to distract them and the family returned to their routine. somewhere in the afternoon, Ariel headed outside informing her parents that she would have her lunch in her favorite cafe and went to her car, speeding it up and turning on the music to the loudest. she enjoyed the song, humming along with it blissfully. the beautiful song was disturbed when she heard her cell phone ringing only to find Ian's name on the screen with earth and a heart emoji. a big smile came on her face, reading his name and decreasing the volume she quickly answered his call, pressing her phone to her ear and handling the steering wheel from another. "hello" Ariel softly spoke and felt him taking a sharp intake of breath. "oh god! you don't know how much I am missing this angelic voice of yours, love" Ian exclaimed his feelings making Ariel to smile. "it's only been a week, Ian" Ariel stated the obvious as she sighed dramatically to tease him. "does that mean you are not missing me?" Ian pretended to be shocked at her words. "and why would I miss you?" Ariel decided to play along and replied playfully with a grin on her face. "because I am here missing you a lot. I know it's only been a week but it felt like years have passed since I have engulfed you in my arms" Ariel's heart melted at his confession and she felt herself very lucky as god had blessed her with someone who loves her with all his heart. "I am missing you too and can't wait to wrap my arms around your neck" Ariel told him shyly, she had missed him every second "by the way how is everyone there?" she tried to change the subject because she knew she would end up crying any second if she thought more about him being away from her. "everyone is good here and yes I forgot to tell you, I informed my parents about our engagement and trust me everyone is very excited" "that's great, I hope to meet uncle and aunt it's been long since I met them" "they would love that, after all they love you more than their own children" Ian joked rolling his eyes in the process. "someone is jealous" Ariel teased and giggled making his heart to flutter on the other side. this girl had some different effect on his poor heart. "well why would I be because no one loves you more than me" Ian said and Ariel heard a sound of knocking on his side "hey, love! I gotta go you know Mily is hell bent to celebrate our engagement" Ian's voice was filled with irritation when he mentioned his twin sister and Ariel smiled knowing their bond. she had always admired the bond the twins had and always wanted a sibling of her own but unfortunately she was the only child. "Yup sure! bye" "bye and I love you" Ariel smiled and replied with "I love you too" and she put the phone back on the seat and focused on the road ahead her. Ariel casually glanced at the side mirror and noticed that there were three black cars behind her that were following her, a sudden feeling of fear shot through her spine when she noticed that three cars were coming in her direction as well from ahead and she quickly applied the break when her car was few metre away from those black one. Ariel quickly double checked the door of her car to make sure everything was locked when she realized she was struck between sets of three car. the two men stepped out from the car ahead her and quickly recognize them as the same man who had visited her home in the morning with that stupid proposal. Ariel quickly grabbed her phone and called her dad but he didn't picked up, her hand started to shiver when she heard the call was not being answered, she was about to call him again but was disturbed by the knock on her window. Ariel slightly flinched back in fear as debated for a minute whether to pull the window down or not. she pulled the window down just a little so that they could communicate with lots of hesitation "what the hell do you want?" she yelled at them to which they just kept a straight face. "calm down! young lady and we don't want anything from you however our master would like to see you" Bash said in a calm tone. "b-but I don't want to meet anyone!" Ariel yelled irritatedly "let me go" "I am afraid we can't do that, young lady" Nate replied to her, their composure was still calm and Ariel wondered were they always this emotionless. "we could drag you out in a minute but master said to treat you with utter respect" Bash glared at her, already irritated with her tantrums "now come out, master is waiting" "what if I don't?" Ariel challenged with a raised brow making them chuckle humorlessly. "then he will not allow you to go back home as you can clearly see, you are surrounded with our men" a smirk was plastered on their faces as they saw the young girl to shiver, their threat seem to work. "fine!" Ariel said as she hesitatedly came out of the car and then deliberately slam the door harshly to show them how pissed she was with all this ordeal. they walked her upto matte black SUV car in the middle and opened a door for her and giving them a look Ariel stepped in the car. there she saw a man with jet black hairs that were neatly set back, piercing ice cold blue eyes, sharp jawlines with that arrogant smirk on his face and Ariel couldn't help but acknowledged how handsome he was. "who are you?" she asked as she took his appearance in, clad in blue Armani suit the man looked like a royal. "Ryan Armando" and Ariel felt so dumb asking the question and same time angry, she knew his name; her father mentioned it in the very morning. Ryan watched as the girl sitting beside him made several faces, probably talking to herself in mind and he find it amusing. Ryan's heart warm as soon as she stepped inside the car and he couldn't help but notice that she looked even more beautiful on a closer look. "what do you want?" Ariel asked irritatedly when she felt his creepy eyes on her body. "I thought I made it obvious but since you like me to say it then-" Ryan leaned little closer to which Ariel quickly moved back in disgust "you! I want you, Ariel Petrova as my wife" he huskily whispered near her ear. Ariel, flabbergasted with his words kept looking at him with wide eyes, her body went numb as her mind comprehend the meaning of his words. "I-I-" Ariel fumbled with her words, she didn't know how to answer him so suddenly "w-what?" she wasn't sure if she had heard it right. "I said I want you to be mine" Ryan said with authority, he wasn't asking he was giving the statement. "what on earth makes you think that I would marry you?" Ariel shouted this time, loosing her calm in the process. "If I were you then I would have like to keep my voice in check" "are you threatening me?" Ariel retorted back. "seriously, sweetheart is this what you call a threat?" Ryan chuckled as he straightened himself "back to the topic, I selected you to be my wife, to be by my side" "but I don't agree-" cutting her off in between Ryan glared at her with his ice cold eyes. "I didn't ask you" Ryan stated, his voice held so much dominanace that could make anyone to comply with him "I like you, I want you and I will have you!" "what the hell!" Ariel lost it, his words made her feel like a lifeless object "what do you think I am? a piece of furniture that you can buy" "you are too beautiful to be a furniture and furniture or not I can still buy anything I want and you are no exception so tell me how much would you cost?" Ryan arrogantly spoke, deliberately teasing her as he liked how her eyes widened and mouth hung open. Ariel, on the other hand was speechless. his words were like a slap to her. how could he easily talked about buying a living breathing human for god's sake! a feeling of disgust erupt in her heart for the arrogant man that sat beside her and she scoffed in utter disgust letting him know what she felt. "you disgusting piece of trash!" Ariel cursed loudly "I am not a lifeless doll but a living breathing person that got to decide for herself! and you can't buy humans; s*****y ended a long ago" Ariel angrily said, glaring at him with the hardest one she could come with. "that's right s*****y no longer exists and much to your dismay I am not looking for a slave but a wife and you caught my attention well and it doesn't matter whether you could be bought or not because in the end I will have you" he stated, his every word dripped with sincerity that Ariel failed to notice. "no! that's not how it works Mr. Armando. you could never have me and the sooner you accept it the better it is" Ariel declared and tried to opened the door and to her luck it wasn't lock. she was about to step outside but her arms was grabbed in a firm grip making her gasp in shock, she slowly turned her head towards him and what she saw scared her a little, his eyes were red and Ariel concluded it was due to anger. "I am a very powerful man, Ariel so I suggest you to not to test me. I am used to have things I want and a middle class girl like you can't change that" Ryan hissed pulling her more closer, his breath fanned her cheek making her squirm under him. "let me go!" Ariel yelled as she hit him with her fist but her soft hand felt like it was caressing his chest. "marry me Ariel because it would be best for you and for your loved ones otherwise I would make you marry me but not sure about your loved ones being safe" Ryan warned and let go of her hand. Ariel snatched her hand as soon as he loosened his grip and rubbed it slightly and faced him with a look of disapproval and disgust "try all you have but I will never marry an asshole like you! you bloody piece of s**t! Ariel challenged and hurried out of the car slamming the door shut on his face, dismissing him from saying anything further. Ariel quickly ran to her car as soon as she slammed the door and Bash and Nate tried to ran after her but "let her go" was the order they received from Ryan and they let her run. Ariel on the other hand sat on her car, locking everything and basically hiding. she had acted bold in front of Ryan but in reality she was really scared and the fact that she was surrounded with so many men of his increased her fear to ten fold. it didn't take much for them to leave from there but Ariel was too scared to move from her place, she kept waiting there which felt like hours and then taking a deep breath she brought her car to the motion as well.
