Chapter 3

1854 Words
The moment Sr. Bianchi received news that his son brought a woman to his mansion, he knew it, his son is just stubborn outside, but soft and sweet just like his mother. He was expecting a decent woman but a holy one. Sr. Bianchi is not meddling with Lorenzo's private life but he has eyes, making sure his son is not abusing his will and power as an heir. Despite their argument, his son still listens. He was happy enough for him to become proud and confident that his son will take good care of their business in the future. He receives disapproval from his business affiliate and partners and for them, Lorenzo isn't to replace the position. Sr. Bianchi is not stupid to fool that easily, he knew they want to steal the position from his son. And as the father, he is making sure and believing, Lorenzo will have the position before he is gone. It says that once a playboy falls in love, he stops fooling around and settles. As a father, he can relate and he was once like Lorenzo. Lorenzo never brought a woman in his mansion, he will bring them to a hotel or his pad. It was a funny thought for Sr. Bianchi that his son is into kinky stuff, bringing a nun cosplayer into his house. His son must be in love. “Keep an eye on her!” Lorenzo commanded before entering the private jet and ended the call. Lorenzo gets in and sits comfortably on the cozy and elegant couch of the private jet. “Good evening sir, what drinks would you like to have?” the flight attendant asked flirtatiously, showing the bottle of wine of choice. “No need,” he answered shortly and the woman's smile faded. She bows her head and turns around to leave. Lorenzo closes his eyes after checking the time from his wristwatch, 7 hours more before landing at Fiumicino International Airport in Italy. Times flies and it's been five years since he left Italy and it snaps just like that. Lorenzo missed a lot of timing and chances. He heaves a sigh and starts contemplating everything he remembers. If it wasn't for his father's condition, he must have had the chance to chase after Maria. The moment he found Maria wasn't in his bed, his phone rang receiving bad news about his father and rushed to the airport. His father was sent to Russia and had a brain operation. At first, he thought his father would survive. But after a year, he died. Lorenzo Bianchi is the only child and heir of Sr. Lorenzo Bianchi. Bianchi's are known both in Italy and Russia. His father is a business tycoon and owns lots of properties, hotels, and restaurants in both Russia and Italy and some other parts of the globe. As an heir, Lorenzo was forced to study and learn to manage their business. He has no mother, she died after giving birth to him. He grew up in a luxurious life where his father gave him whatever he wanted. But when he reached the age of 25, he was forced to get married and bring a child. He had a heated argument with his father. Getting married and becoming a father wasn't his dream yet. It was far from his list. “Lorenzo, son. When will you be serious? I am warning you. If you want your luxurious life, just do as I say!” “But Dad? I am not getting married and I don't want to become a father yet.” “You i***t! I am old and I need you. I am just making sure you will continue and pass the success of the business, generation to generation. I am counting on you.” “I am not marrying any woman.” “Then prepare to become poor, you loser! I will transfer all of Bianchi's wealth to charity!” “That's unfair Dad!” Lorenzo is a spoiled brat and this is the first time his father talked to him about their wealth which he can't afford to lose either. “I will give you two years, look for a decent woman, marry her and bring me a grandchild. That's final! If you want everything I have to put it under your name.” “Dad,” Lorenzo feels his father isn't joking. “Take him away, I am busy.” Senior Bianchi asked his bodyguards and the two men holding his arms, forcing him to leave his father's office. “Dad, don't do this! I hate married life! No!” “This way, young Master.” The bodyguards continue to drag him out. As soon as the door closed, Sr. Bianchi massages his temple. He was unreasonable and unfair to his son but it's the only way he thought he could teach his son a lesson. He doesn't mean to force his son into marriage. He is just using this as an excuse. Lorenzo is unaware he is sick severely and he doesn't know when his life will be taken away. He thought, if Lorenzo settles, he will become responsible and encouraged to work hard for his future family. The same way his father did. Lorenzo wanted to protest and finally, his father's bodyguards let go of his arms. He can't believe his father turned into a merciless old man. The last time he visited his father, he was sweet as candy and always asked nothing, making sure he is enjoying his life to the fullest. “Lorenzo, while you are young, enjoy your life. Someday you will need to settle and need to become serious about our business.” But how come his father suddenly forces him to do the things he knew Lorenzo hates most. He was so naive and blind to understand that his father is suffering from a brain tumor which everyone is forbidden to expose his condition to, especially to Lorenzo. Perhaps his father doesn't want him to panic. In the end, he did. And right now, he is managing their business for 5 years and he can say he doubled the profit since he took over the position. Too bad no father will congratulate him, who will boast about him. He misses his father and he regrets everything, that day he argues with his father's decision. Lorenzo shook his head, staring at the bracelet rosary beads on his right wrist. She must be a real nun, and I mistook her as a prostitute in that club. Lorenzo was in deep thoughts, why a nun is in that place and even had one nightstand. Lorenzo smiles, he must be crazy. He heard from one of his agents that the woman was once spotted in one of the convents located in between Positano and Amalfi towns in Italy, carrying a child. He is more enthusiastic when the agent sends him a photo of the little boy. He is hundred percent sure, he is the father. Lorenzo realized he fulfilled one of his father's wishes before he died. He will find Maria, he will convince her to live a normal life instead of being a nun. And they will live happily with their son. He must confirm the kid's DNA and when the result comes, he will execute his plan. Now that the business is stable, Lorenzo has the time to personally check and proceed with his plans. As soon as he arrived at his mansion, he contacted his agent and asked about Maria. He smiled when he took out the box of the rosary bracelet beads. He didn't expect it. Maria was a real novitiate, soon to become a nun at that time. Did she regret it? Did she look for him? Lorenzo hopes for uncertainty. How come he didn't realise? He was under the control of alcohol but he can't forget the feeling the moment his eyes laid on her in that VIP room, Maria was wasted, blubbering about her jerk guy. Lorenzo feels the heaviness in his eyes. He decided to sleep for a few hours, and in the afternoon, he starts to work. Driving his luxurious car, Lorenzo aims to visit the said Monastery. He knows Maria isn't there at all, but he wants to know and see where his son grows. Where Maria raised their son and why Maria left the convent if she was allowed and able to live inside the monastery. As soon as the gate swung open, Sister Eva's brows twitched. Who is this person so impatient, unwilling to wait for a few seconds, and keeps ringing the doorbell? “What do you want, Mister?” Lorenzo didn't respond but Sister Eva's reaction made him amused, he even wanted to laugh. Sister Eva invited Lorenzo to her office and offered him a cup of tea. “You look familiar, but I don't know where I met you.” Sister Eva said as she continued to drink her glass of water sitting on a swivel chair. “I will get straight to the point, Sister. Why did Maria leave?” “Jesus Christ!” It was understood that the person in front of her is no other than the father of Maria's son, Morris. “Did I surprise you, Sister?” “Ah, yes. A bit but no. What I mean is, where have you been, young man?” she asked, changing her tone to scolding Lorenzo the moment she realized he is the responsible person for why Maria was pregnant. “I came here to know about her including my son. I want to take responsibility.” “You must be crazy, do you think everything is easy? You are irresponsible! How did you do that to an innocent nun? You took her innocent soul and now you are coming here after five years telling me you are going to take the responsibility? Where was your ball during that time?” Sister Eva cannot control her anger as she remembers how hard it was for Maria to handle her confusing situation. “I..I..” Lorenzo was a bit shocked by Sister Eva's reaction. Spouting forbidden words in her office while wearing a holy veil. “Do you think your handsomeness will lure my Maria and Morris? I don't think they will forgive you!” Sister Eva added, finger-pointing his face and slamming the table, fuming in anger. OH GOD, IS SHE A NUN? Lorenzo massages his temple. Before everything turns into a heated argument, a little boy enters the office. “Grandma, why are you screaming? It is a sin to shout inside the convent, you know.” The little boy speaks sweetly. Lorenzo was stunned, meeting the kid suddenly, right away. “Honey, why did you run? What if you fall and get a wound in your knee.”Maria enters without any care and slams her body on the couch, wearing a casual dress. Today, they decided to surprise Sister Eva. It's been their routine since they left the convent and lived a normal life. “Maria….”
