Chapter 2

1214 Words
Eve Being a slave to a Vampire, including the cruel ones, it's literally impossible to be taken away from them even with the strongest title or not. Vampires love feeling powerful. All they need to have is a title given to them by the royal family and become known by having riches and connection. They never allow anything that belongs to them be taken away from them against their will. If that happens, those Vampires feel taken for granted and immediately see that as a signed contract seeking war from them. They'll do anything they can to bring the person down, even if they have to burn their entire village just to prove stronger and more powerful. Vampires are heartless beings that need blood to survive and energy to keep living their daily lives. Being a slave to a Vampire is just like a signed life contract or wedding vow to never leave their side till death do us apart. I have heard stories of werewolves who are mated to a Vampire's slave but from about fifty of them, it's only one that I heard was successful and that only because they were good friends before he found his mate. Vampires and werewolves are never fans of one another rather they are competitors trying to prove who is stronger. Few stories end with them shaking hands and becoming friends while many end up killing another. Most people including werewolves believe Vampires are stronger because of their strength and speed reflexes which give them more advantage to win the fight. I could feel the piecing rage sipping from his eyes by knowing I'm a slave. I gulped nervously and quickly removed my hand from his. "It's fine. You can say the words and we can go our separate ways like we never met." I said all this without meeting his eyes. I felt ashamed for being a slave and embarrassed for. being mated to an Alpha. How is that possible? Why did the Goddess make it possible? He is all high and mighty and I am below am ordinary werewolf with no title. It was better I accept my fate and prepare for the worse than stand there waiting for him to save me from what we both see as impossible. The word "rejection" was suddenly stuck in my throat to let out. I never found it hard to let out before but it is now that I stand in front of my mate. "What words?" He stared into my eyes with squished eyebrows. Was he forcing me to let it out? I cleared my throat and raised my head up to meet his gaze. "I understand if you want to cut ties, this bond we share. I totally understand. It's nearly impossible to save me." He stared blankly at me. His eyes intensely searching mine and I stared back, hoping he reads the desperation in them that buried themselves deep within before he should himself to me. "You can tell me, you reject me as your mate. I totally understand." I implied more clearly for him to understand. My eyes might be opposing the words coming out from my mouth. My heart and mind were currently battling hope against hopeless. I was scared to give my faith to him because we just mate and he still has an option to leave me alone in the darkness of my world. I was suddenly pulled out of my thoughts by Raina's solf hand grasping mine. I turned to ask her. "We don't have much time. We have to go back now." she whispered. But considering we are werewolves. Alpha Killian heard her as well. "Who is he?" I turned back to him by his voice. "Who?" I raised an eyebrow at him. "The man you bow down to." "You mean my master?" His jaw tightened yet again. "Yes." He said through gritten teeth like it was the hardest word to ever say. "Raymond, master Raymond." His eyes slightly widened. "Raymond Geiger?" My eyes went big. "You know him?" "f*****g Hell!!" He cussed. I flinched at his unexpected reaction. Why is he getting angry? I mean, far more than before. "It had to be my f*****g enemy!" He yelled. Enemy? They had to be enemies?! WHY?! It's over. it's official. It can never work. I felt the tiny bit of hope building up varnish into thin air. "How the f**k did you get there!" He suddenly yelled at me, pointing his finger towards the direction Raina and I were coming from. "I....I....why are you yelling at me! I didn't choose to be there! I didn't choose this life okay!" I suddenly got a hit of emotions, building up inside me. My tears were already at the peak of spilling out after holding them back all those years to never cry on what has already been my life forever but I hold back my tears, sucking them back in as hard as I can. Why would he blame me? Did he seriously think I walked straight into master Raymond's mansion and applied to be his freaking slave?! You know what? Why don't we just end it?! it was never gonna work either way. "If you want to reject me! just do it already and stop blaming me for my sick fate okay?!" I yelled out my frustrations. He was glaring intensely at me but I could tell he was trying not to glare deathly at me or maybe he just couldn't. But who cares! The silent follows. "Eve we really don't have time, we need to go like right now." Raina impatient voice was heard behind me but I didn't move my eyes away from his. "We might not even make it before he returns." Raina was right, we left the mansion hours ago and we'll get punshied if they found out we left the mansion. "I have to go." I said, waiting a little long to hear his reply but I got nothing. I turned away from him and begin walking away with Raina. "Wait." I stopped on my track and turned around to face him. He took few steps towards me and stopped right infront of. He stared into my eyes. I gulped nervously, trying to calm my nerves. He was about to reject me. I waited patiently for the words to leave his soft and kissable lips. I knew once I became a slave for the vampire, there was no turning back, there was no point sticking to an empty bowl of hope, a faith that can't be found in people like us. A slave's fate that has only two options, accept who you are now or die. The words I never expected left his mouth, sparking up a little light of hope inside that I accepted to never feel again and just wait for my death. The feeling of hope, giving me a reason to live as he lets out those words. "I'll come and get you out of that place." His eyes holding sincerity he hopes I notice. Raina suddenly grabbed hold of my wrist and pulled me away as I was still in shock. "Eve run! They'll be back in less than an hour!" A ghost smile peaked on my toned face.
