Chapter Two: Punishment

At midnight, Violet was still awake since she had important things to do that she needed to finish. While looking at the mirror, Violet ties her hair into a ponytail and puts some light makeup on her face. After that, she put lipstick on her pink lips. Since Violet didn’t want to be discovered by someone, she decided to wear a mask to avoid getting caught in her plan. After a minute, Violet wears a bodysuit, which makes her look like a top-tier assassin. When Violet is finished preparing herself, she leaves her room while holding a katana that she bought at Magical Wolf, a store for assassins like her. While walking in the hallway of their mansion, Violet shows her wicked smile, as if she’s ready to kill someone.

Even though it’s already midnight, Violet doesn’t feel threatened that someone might see her since she knows that everybody is already sleeping. With a grin on her lips, she walks without a sound on the first floor of their mansion, towards Red's room, her maid. A few minutes have passed when Violet arrives at the front door of Red's room, a grin still plastered on her lips. A playful grin was plastered on her lips again when the door in Red's room was locked. Instead of stopping her plan, Violet pulls a black hairpin from her hair and uses it to open the door. Without making a sound, she easily picked the lock of her maid's room. It's almost as if she was born to do it; what do we expect from an assassin?

When the door in Red's room is already open, Violet slowly enters without making any noise. Then, she saw Red peacefully sleeping on the bed with an open mouth and drooling on his lips. With that, Violet didn’t waste time and put Red in the sack that she brought. With a terrified smile, she pulls the sack while Red is still inside. After pulling the sack towards her room, Violet opened it again, then she kicked Red, who was still sleeping. A terrifying laugh comes out of Violet's mouth since she didn’t expect that Red was still sleeping even though she pulled the sack really hard. She kicked Red again to wake her up, and her maid was shocked while looking at her.

"W-Who are you?" Red asks Violet while shaking in fear.

Violet just shakes her head since she didn’t expect that Red was a slow person. The reason why her maid didn’t know her is that she disguises herself as an assassin. Aside from that, she brought Red to her secret hideout inside her room. That's why her maid didn’t recognize the place. And also, Violet uses a voice changer so that her plan to punish her maid becomes successful.

"You don't need to know!" Violet answered coldly.

"I'm asking you, who are you!?" Red asks, again.

Instead of answering her, Violet punches Red in the stomach, causing her to shout in pain. Violet wasn’t satisfied with what she did because she also slapped the face of her maid. Red was going to attack her, but she avoided it immediately. Then she cuts the leg of her maid using her katana. Once again, Red shouted because of the pain that she felt. With a furious expression, Red looked at Violet, who was now smiling from ear to ear.

"Me? I'm your nightmare! The one who will kill you! " Violet answered with a grin on her lips.

After that, Violet covered the nose of Red with a handkerchief soaked in sleeping medicine, causing her to lose consciousness. Just like earlier, Violet puts Red in the sack and returns it to her room. Even though Red is still bleeding, Violet chose to ignore it to make her maid suffer. After returning Red to her room to purchase some weapons for her upcoming assassination in the underground organization, Violet decides to go to the Magical Wolf. While driving in her car, Violet creases her forehead when she sees a child in the middle of the street. Violet immediately stops her car to look at the child, who has bruises all over his body. Violet was thankful when the child was still breathing. That's why she decided to help him. Since Violet was concerned about the child, she brought him to the hospital to treat his wounds, but didn’t know where they came from. After thirty minutes, they arrive at the hospital, and with a flash of light, Violet carries the child and brings him inside the hospital.

Violet, now worried about the child, asks the nurse, "What happened to him, Ma'am?"

I don’t know what happened to him! Just treat him immediately! " Violet answered the nurse with an irritated expression.

For that reason, the nurse immediately brings the child to a private room to treat his wound. While Violet's mind was clouded with her thoughts because she didn’t understand why she was worried about the child that she didn’t know, she was curious about what happened to that child. Aside from that, she can't explain why she felt furious when she saw the wound on that child. While waiting patiently, Violet was shocked when she saw Dustin Armstrong walking in her direction with a worried expression on his face.

"Are you the one who helps my son?" Dustin asks Violet with a worried look.

"Yes."

"Do you know what happened to him?" Dustin asks Violet, again.

Violet took a deep breath before answering the man in front of her. "No. I just found him in the middle of the street full of bruises, "Violet explained to Dustin.

All of a sudden, Dustin felt furious because of what happened to his son, Nickel. Aside from that, Dustin didn’t expect that his enemy would target his son, who was innocent of all of what he was doing. That’s why Dustin can't help but feel furious at himself since he didn’t protect his son from his enemies.

"Can you please calm yourself? Your son is now out of danger! So stop creasing your forehead, "Violet said to Dustin with an annoyed expression.

"Fine! By the way, I'm Dustin Armstrong, "Dustin said to Violet.

I'm Violet West, so I will go now. Next time, protect your son properly and make sure that you don’t have a traitor on your side, "Violet said to Dustin.

After that, Violet leaves the hospital with a blank expression on her face. The truth is, Violet knew that there was a traitor on Dustin's side since, in her past life, the death of his son was all over the world since he was known as an excellent CEO. That’s why Violet can't help herself to help him since she feels that there is a connection between her and Nickel.
