Distinct brothers.

1021 Words
Each of the three brothers had their own distinct personality. Zeus was confident and charismatic, always the center of attention. Poseidon was calm and collected, with a thoughtful demeanor that drew people towards him. Ades, on the other hand, was brooding and intense, with a sharp mind and a heart of gold. Despite their differences, they all shared one thing in common - their curse. They were doomed to live in the mortal world and fall in love with the same woman over and over again. This time, that woman was Venus, a smart and beautiful university student who captured their attention from the moment they met her. As they pursued her, Venus found herself overwhelmed and scared. She didn't know why they were all interested in her, and she felt like they were invading her personal space. However, Ades was different. He was kind, protective, and understanding, and she found herself drawn to him despite her reservations. Zeus, Poseidon, and Ades arrived home from university, their minds still occupied with thoughts of Venus. As they settled into their living room, a heated argument erupted between them. "God, Zeus, can't you see that you're being too pushy with her?" Poseidon said, exasperated. Zeus crossed his arms defensively. "What are you talking about? I'm just being friendly." "You're being more than friendly," Ades interjected. "You're making her uncomfortable." Zeus rolled his eyes. "I can't help it if I'm attracted to her. She's just so..." "Stop right there," Poseidon interrupted. "We can't afford to lose her. You need to back off." Zeus scowled. "I don't want to be attracted to her. It's not like I can control it." Ades shook his head. "That's not the point. We have to work together to make sure she feels safe and comfortable around us." The brothers fell into a tense silence, each lost in their own thoughts. They all knew that their feelings for Venus could tear them apart if they weren't careful. Finally, Zeus spoke up. "What if we make a pact? We'll each try to keep our feelings in check and focus on being good friends to her." Poseidon and Ades nodded in agreement. It was the best solution they could come up with, given the circumstances. As they parted ways for the night, Zeus couldn't shake the feeling of frustration and confusion that lingered in his mind. He didn't want to be attracted to Venus, but he couldn't help it. He knew that the curse was the cause of his feelings, but it didn't make it any easier to deal with. He resolved to keep his promise to his brothers and try to be a good friend to Venus. He just hoped that it would be enough to keep her from drifting away from them. Poseidon watched his brothers leave, lost in his own thoughts. While he understood the importance of their pact, he couldn't help but feel a deep sense of insecurity. He had yet to truly connect with Venus, despite his best efforts. He had always been the more reserved of the three brothers, preferring to observe rather than act. This made it difficult for him to approach Venus and express his feelings. He didn't want to come off as too eager or pushy, like Zeus had. But he knew that he couldn't let his insecurities hold him back. He needed to find a way to connect with Venus on a deeper level. As he lay in bed that night, he thought back to the few conversations he had shared with her. He remembered the way her eyes lit up when she talked about her favorite books and the way she laughed at his terrible jokes. He resolved to take a more proactive approach in getting to know her. He would try to find common interests and engage her in deeper conversations. He would show her that he was more than just a distant observer, that he could be a true friend and maybe something more. But as he drifted off to sleep, he couldn't help but wonder if it was too late. With each passing day, the curse loomed over them, threatening to tear them apart. He could only hope that their bond would be strong enough to withstand the trials that lay ahead. Ades sat in his room, his mind racing with frustration. He couldn't believe his brothers sometimes. They were always arguing over Venus, always trying to one-up each other to win her affection. He knew that Zeus and Poseidon meant well, but their constant bickering was starting to wear on him. He was tired of being caught in the middle of their petty squabbles. It wasn't just that, though. Ades was starting to feel something deeper for Venus, something that he couldn't quite put into words. He found himself thinking about her all the time, daydreaming about what it would be like to hold her in his arms. But he couldn't bring himself to tell his brothers about his feelings. He didn't want to add to the tension and jealousy that already existed between them. He sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair. He knew he needed to talk to someone about this, to get some perspective on the situation. But who could he turn to? His brothers were out of the question, and he didn't have any close friends at the university. As he lay in bed, lost in thought, a sudden realization hit him. He had been so focused on his own problems that he hadn't stopped to consider Venus's perspective. She was the one caught in the middle of their curse, forced to navigate their complicated emotions. He knew that he needed to be there for her, to support her and make sure she felt safe and valued. It was time to put his own feelings aside and focus on being a true friend to her. With renewed determination, Ades resolved to be the kind of person that Venus could rely on, no matter what. He would do whatever it took to protect their bond, even if it meant sacrificing his own desires.
