Evil. Selfish. Unbearable. Useless. Hard to like. Even harder to love.

Crystal Angelo is the worst woman, a living nightmare. She came to the camp and turned everything upside down like the hurricane she is and has put the sergeant through the worst summer of his life... or maybe it’s the best?

PROLOGUE
A two hour road trip with my disappointed parents wasn't fun at all, but it was still better than getting thrown into a corrective camp for problematic teenagers in the f*****g desert. That’s seriously something I never saw coming. Yet here I am. I've lost count already of all the times I've begged my parents to not do this to me, to open their eyes and see that I clearly don't deserve this treatment, to believe me when I say that I'll be better in the future... but they're just ignoring me, like I don't exist anymore. I think they've finally had enough of my bullshït and now they just want to get rid of me. To be honest, I don’t blame them. When we arrive to the camp in the middle of fücking nowhere, I reluctantly climb out of the SUV taking my giant red suitcase with me and fixing my tiny shorts because they're all rolled up in my fat thighs. I sigh with distress and walk beside my mom, who's silently crying, and my dad, who suddenly walks away to speak with one of his old military friends. “Mom, please,” I try one more time, grabbing her arm and pulling her close to me, “Look at this people. They’re... thugs, delinquents or maybe something worse. I'm just a brat sometimes, but I'm an angel in comparison. Please, mom. This place is horrible, you can't just leave me here. I won't last a day. I’m not made for this.” "You should've thought about that before stealing my car to go to Mexico and come back five days later with two immigrants." "Oh my god, mom! I borrowed your car, gave it back in great conditions, and those immigrants were the most beautiful men I've seen in my life. I didn't understood a thing they said but... don’t be racist, they just wanted a better life." “Im sick of your dumb excuses. This place will be good for you” She wipes her tears and gives me a strong hug when we're at the entry, “Please, for the love of God, be a good girl. Do what they say. Don't make your dad look bad, he had to use some influences for you to be here.” Ummm... me, be a good girl? Do what someone tells me to do? Does she even know me at all? Apparently, she doesn’t. And apparently, regardless of how much I beg, they'll leave me here for the rest of the summer. Well... I guess I have to suck it up and find a fun way to spend time in this disgusting desert. There’s no other way.
