"Happy birthday!" I heard my little brother, Seth, yelling as he came barreling into our room. "Ugh, five more minutes." Layla groaned as she rolled over, pulling the blanket over her head. "Come on! I want birthday pancakes!" Seth complained. "Isn't it our birthday?" I chuckled as I climbed out of bed, messing Seth's hair up as I walked by. "Hey!" He squealed as he tried to fix it. "Yes, but two birthdays on the same day means extra pancakes for me!" Seth proclaimed as he stood on my bed in a super hero stance.
Seth is the youngest of us three. He is 7 and Layla, my twin, and I turn 18 today. Layla and I are identical twins. Both stand at 5'5 and we both have a very fit physique. Both of us have blond hair but only have one marker that could tell us apart. Our eyes. I got mom's sapphire green eyes and Layla got dad's piercing blue eyes.
"How about this," I squatted down to his level, "if you can get Laylay awake, I will make sure to put extra chocolate chips in your stack." Seth's eyes grew large as well as the grin on his face as his eyes darted between me and Layla. "Challenge accepted!" He whisper yelled as he ran from the room.
I headed for the shower to get my day started. Not only is today my 18th birthday, but it is also my senior graduation. *BANG, BANG, BANG, CRASH, BANG, THUD* I swung the door open to see Seth standing over Layla with pots and pans banging them together over and over. "MOM!" Layla yelled as she threw Seth off of her bed. I giggle as I close the door and finish getting ready.

Once I was finished, I headed downstairs to start breakfast. I love to cook. Ever since I was younger, I began the birthday pancake tradition. I mean, I don't want to, boost or brag, but I have been told a time or two that my pancakes are restaurant worthy.
The house was pretty quiet, which was nothing abnormal. My dad, Randel, is the Alpha here at Blue Moon, and my mom, Katherine, is our Luna. Dad stays pretty busy being the Alpha and all and my mom is a teacher at the elementary school. She technically doesn't have to work, but she just loves teaching and being with the kids. I normally drop Seth off so he doesn't have to ride to school so early with mom. His lucky day considering it's birthday pancake day.
I grabbed my mix that I keep ready at all times and my prepping process. Something is not right. My wolf, Stella, warns me. "What is it? Our mate?" I asked, probably a little too eager. No, this, this is weird. Like danger, but I can't really tell. She says, now putting me on alert. "AHHHHHH!" I hear Layla scream. "LAYLA!" I yell for her as I dart for the stairs, taking them two at a time. "Layla!" I yell again, throwing the door open. "Where are you!?" "Lily! Help!" I heard from the bathroom. "I can't open the door! It's stuck!" I yell as I bang and kick on the door. I am at the top of my warrior training. This door should not be this hard to tear down.
Just then, I heard the glass from the bathroom window shatter, then silence. "Layla?" I whispered out with a shaky voice. Silence. *CRASH* Our bedroom window shatters and glass flies everywhere. "AHHHH!" I scream as I drop to the ground, shielding my face. I then felt someone's hands wrap around me. "Let go of me!" I yelled out as I began to fight them off. I then see Seth standing there, frozen in fear. "RUN!" I yelled at him as it all goes dark.

"My head hurts." I groaned out. "Lily!" I heard Layla whisper yell at me. "Wake up!" "Ugh, where are we?" I groaned again. I felt my head where the pain was coming from and it was warm and sticky. I looked at my hand, then at Layla. Her hair was coated with bright red blood. I only assumed mine looked the same. "Where are we?" I asked. Trying to move, I realized that I had a silver chain around my neck. Looking around, I noticed there were no windows and we were behind some metal bars. No bed or even a toilet. I tried to scoot closer to Layla but I could only get close enough to hold her hand. "Dad will come for us. He will get us out of here." Layla tried to reassure me. I looked at her hopeful face. I sighed out, "Yeah, wherever here is."
