Chapter 1

Finally, the day has come, the day where our flight is scheduled towards the forbidden country, the Prism State. I grabbed my luggage and I can’t take off my smile from my face because the amount of excitement that I am feeling right now is indescribable. “Cheryl!” I shouted at the bathroom door inside my room, because she is borrowing it right now for the sole reason that my mirror is much bigger than hers. “We will be late!” I called to her again while banging the door. “Just a minute, I am putting my lipstick on sis!” she replied back, oh for the love of the most divine being. I don’t know what to do anymore with her make up routines, she is almost an hour inside there. We are not going on a date, on a trip. ON A FRICKING TRIP! Leon why? He’s one in my circle of friends but when my sister and he met for the first time I immediately noticed that they fell in love on first sight. I don’t know that kind of love actually existed. But I just ignored it and let them be. But this? This is so annoying; we will be late and who knows if they will decide to go without us. I will not forgive her if that happens. “HEY! WE WILL BE LATE!” I shouted at her again inside the bathroom because I freaking out here. My dreams, no I don’t want it to pop like bubbles. “Don’t worry, Leon owns the plane and he won’t allow themselves to leave without me,” she replied inside the bathroom probably still busy with her make-up. Also, I am impressed that she can say that with confidence. “I have shame,” I replied back, pointing out that I don’t want to make them wait for us just because of her make-up. Look, I am the one who packed her things because if I don’t, who knows what time we are going to leave this place. It’s 5:40 in the morning already and Alexander said that we must be already there at 6 am. There’s the trip towards the airport where Leon’s private plane is parked. I don’t know how far is the trip but I am sure that it will take long. “Remember, Alexander is the one who planned this trip,” I knocked on her door again. I am getting more impatient as time passes by. “But who owns the plane?” she asked me. I was left thinking with where the heck she gets the guts of saying those things. She really doesn’t have any shame left in her. I didn’t answer her question because we both already know. I grabbed both of our luggage because talking to her anymore would make me crazy. “Meet me downstairs!” I said for the last time before leaving my room. Maybe I’ll text Xander that I will be late because of traffic. I hope that he bites the hook. That will make me feel better for the very least. Maybe I’ll go and watch some news while waiting for her. “Hey Jen,” mom called me and I glanced at her and saw her carrying our breakfast towards the table. I let go of the luggage and I rushed towards her to help her carry the dishes on the table. Dad seems to be busy today and did not even bother to see us off, but I don’t have any bad feelings for that since I clearly understand that it is for us, well, we are only staying there just for a month. No biggie. “Mom,” I called to her and she looks at me while we put the plates on the table. “What is it?” she asked. “Are you worried?” I asked her. “Obviously,” she answered immediately. “I am a mother Jen, but I can’t stop you on achieving your dreams, I’ll just pray for your safety on you and your friend’s safety, that’s a dangerous place so you be careful and watch over your sister she can be reckless sometimes,” she said while holding my face, and she chuckled when she mentioned Cheryl. “Oh, eat breakfast before you go,” she said and we boot look on the food served. Fried rice, coffee, sausages, and sunny side up eggs. A pleasant way to stary someone’s morning. “That’s a great idea,” I said to her and I took my seat and sat on it. Mom took the seat on the opposite side.  I grabbed the remote above the table and watch some news while I eat my breakfast. Lately, I’ve been getting the feeling that watching news is a responsibility for us citizens, because it is the only way to keep us updated, for the happenings that’s been going on the country and the world lately. “Many citizen rallies for the extermination of the Astro Formers inside the Prism State,” ohh just on time the news is about the place. I am really annoyed with those people who likes to aggravate things that has been given solution such as them. I really can’t understand them, the Prism State is already shut tight from the rest of the world. What is their problem? “It’s been years already and they are not done with that?” Mom remarked. Exactly that’s what I am been thinking Mom! Finally, someone thinks the same way as I do.  “I know mom,” I replied back while I shove my spoon in the fried rice to serve in my plate, and get some foods before I go. “Citizens from all around the world are demanding to exterminate them in fear of an outbreak around the world, but the world government has reassured them once again that there will be no outbreak that will happen in the future, even for another century they said,” the anchor said and that’s what I like to hear. They have it covered and I believe in them. Imagine they produced great results while thinking of a solution to address the problem. What’s not to trust in that? I ignored them and I continue on eating.
