Xavier POV We were walking out of the bar after drinking with my buddies when I noticed a sign on the road that said "Don't Drink and Drive." I chuckled as I looked at the board and asked a friend, "Let's get rid of this board. What a blunder this board is. How will we get to our house if we don't drive?" My friends and I began kicking the board. We were startled by the sound of the cop's car siren. My eyes welled up as I looked towards the automobile and saw my brother peering out the window. He sneezed, but not before coming to a halt in front of us. Evan and Chris, two of my pals, and I went for a run together. Mark, on the other hand, was so inebriated that he did not escape and instead attempted to dislocate the board. We crouched behind the tree and watched as Mark got punched and passed out on the ground. Chris drove me to my place after I complained about Charlie punching my friend. The following day, I groaned in pain from a headache and awoke from my bed. I made my way to the living room and dialled Mom's number for my morning tea. Then Charlie called for coffee at the same time. I sat on the couch, anticipating the arrival of my tea. Mom served his coffee first because he is the older sibling. He smirked as he sipped his coffee. I sighed and turned on the television. "Mom, sorry but the coffee packet I bought yesterday was expired as mom was about to ask me," I said to mom, indirectly informing Charlie. Charlie spit on his coffee. He coughed, fearful of being ill. She caressed Charlie's back and murmured, "Xavier, you should not have brought expired coffee." With laughing, I rolled on my stomach and fell to the ground. mom's brows pinched in bewilderment, "Mom, I was only joking. The coffee was excellent "I grinned as I looked at Charlie. He moaned in exasperation as his mouth widened. I chuckled and headed into my father's room to discuss how he might assist me and put some money in my firm. When I walked into my father's room, he averted his sight from me. "What do you require?" he inquired, raising his brows. "Dad, will you offer me some money for my business investment?" I asked, smiling like a nice child. He kept the newspaper on the table and said, sternly, "You should've approached your older brother for financial assistance. He would undoubtedly provide for you." That moron will lend me money, I rolled my eyes. I said to myself, "That rascal would never refuse to give me money." "Have you been abusing him?" Dad questioned me with strained brows.I gave him a strained smile as I shook my head. I exited his room and began to down the stairwell. When I looked down the steps, the floor was gleaming. I leapt to the opposite side and slid to the ground slowly. Then, from the other side of the room, I heard a snarl. I returned my sight to the stairwell, which was gleaming with oil. Charlie had placed the oil in such a way that I would fall down the steps. I smirked and waved to my dumb brother, "Just grown up, Charlie." He snorted, "It's only that you were cautious." "Have you gone insane, bro?" I inquired, putting on a worried expression. I growled, "Don't you ever punch my buddies." He looked away from me and gave me a stiff smile. I chuckled as I realised his plan had failed and he had lost the fight. I returned to my room, had a cold shower, and dressed in a black shirt and jeans. My hair was properly styled, and I sprayed Cologne all over my body. I exited my room and proceeded to the garage. I got in my Suzuki car and drove over to see Mr. Bradley Stewart, my new investor. He is a wealthy businessman, and rumour has it that he invests in tiny businesses. So I decided to take a chance and asked him to invest in my tiny textile company. The lift door opened as I punched the lift button, and my sight was drawn to the lovely girl standing in front of me. She fixed her glance on me before returning it to her phone. Her long black hair, which appears thick and luxuriant, her dark and thick brows, which appear to be stretched into a bow, and her wide brown eyes, which appear to be speaking to me. She is stunning with her oval face and long straight hair. Her pearl necklace complements her peach long knee-length dress. I took a clumsy step inside. I mentally prepared myself to seize the opportunity and speak with this lovely lady. She was standing in the lift's corner. As I prepared to speak, I opened my mouth. The elevator suddenly began to shake, and the lights were turned out. I screamed for help as I was terrified. My gaze was drawn to the young lady. She was engrossed on her phone and acting as if nothing was going on. I felt embarrassed because I panicked as a man while she remained calm. The elevator accelerates and shakes once again. "Help is needed. I am solely my mother's beloved son. Although there is a sibling, he is ineffective ", I cried, my face flushed with terror. After a few seconds, the elevator came to a halt and the door was opened. The girl did not say anything and exited the elevator quietly. I sighed deeply, relieved that I was secure. Following her out of the elevator, I did as well. The girl drinks water while sitting on the black sofa. I sat next to her sofa and breathed deeply, wondering if she was a ghost or if she was missing by chance. I whispered to myself, then returned my sight to her and inquired politely, "Are you all right?" She said, "Yes." I was pleased to see that she was able to communicate. After that, I express my gratitude. "You were quite brave." She responded with a straight face and a murmur. We were sitting in silence in the waiting area. Then it occurred to me that now would be a good time to speak with her. "My name is Xavier," I introduced myself to her. "My name is Emma," she added, her face expressionless. She sat up straight, like if she were in an exam room.
