His Redeemed Love

I have been waiting for him for so long now. It's been an hour and he is still not here. Kaya whispers to herself. She was sitting in the restaurant near the Campus in a beige off shoulder dress and a pair of white heels. A beautiful diamond-studded watch sat on her wrist and she was drumming her fingers against it waiting for her boyfriend to arrive. Kaya Peters was a very beautiful girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She knew she was beautiful and always took care of herself, attracting the eye of many boys, but she had eyes only for Tristan. Tristan Roger was a devil himself. He was the captain of the basketball team in their high school. They have been dating each other for 3 years and took admission to KL college together to complete their masters and start their very own business. Kaya was a natural born entrepreneur. Born and brought up in a business family had its perks. But that comes with a price, right? Her parents were never available for her. She was used to being alone and had only 2 girlfriends throughout her entire life. These were the only friends that accompanied her through thick and thin. She was deprived of love. Soon she adapted to that lifestyle and stayed holed up in the libraries reading her way out of her life. She loved reading and read as if her life depended on it. And that's where she got all her knowledge. At the age of 21, in the last year of her Graduation, released to set sail for her journey ahead with Tristan. Where Kaya came from a rich family, Tristan wasn't poor either. He came from a well-off family. His family owned a couple of jewellery shops and mainly focused on transport facilities. But still steps lower than Kaya. Kaya always thought that Tristan was her forever and loved him dearly. She was always at his beck and call. But a year back they had a huge fight related to some guy hitting on her. Kaya explained to him, saying that he was just some random guy and why should they even take him between them? He was just some stranger trying to break them apart. What was more important was, they trusted their partner and let it not affect themselves as she loved him dearly and was very loyal to him in their 3-year-long relationship. But Tristan did not accept this and they broke up. But after a month or so, he came back realizing that he was wrong and asked for forgiveness. Kaya, being the emotional fool, accepted him back as she was devastated without him. But after that, he changed a lot. Where he used to be attentive, he suddenly started coming late to their dates. He started judging her character, giving her rude looks, taking away her freedom and what not. He started controlling her. Kaya was very unhappy but she didn't want to give up on him easily. She talked to him about it and tried to solve it. He agreed to it and said that he would try to change and she trusted him. As blind as she was in love, she easily accepted his flaws and forgave him, never realizing the same wasn't reciprocated towards her. Here she was still waiting for him. Suddenly, she saw him come through the doors and her heart that was suffering instantly calmed down. He walked up to her and kissed her on her head. "Sorry babes, had some work to do", saying this, he sat in front of her and gave her his "panty dropping" , "sexy as hell" smile and all her anger evaporated. They quickly ordered their food and enjoyed the reminder of their date. Well, it was Kaya who enjoyed it as Tristan was busy with his mobile phone. Kaya used that time to memorize everything and everything about him. The way he smiled and the way his eyes crinkled when he laughed...everything. it was as beautiful as a scenery for her. He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans with a pair of sports shoes. He looked devilishly handsome and garnered many flirty looks from the waitresses there. After their dinner they went separate ways, Tristan saying he had an assignment to write and leaving her there alone. Kaya couldn't help but feel that there was something off about Tristan lately. And it is becoming too obvious nowadays. Thinking about it she went home. She lived in a small yet beautiful bungalow near the seaside. She loved the sea and when times were bad or she felt burdened she walked on the wet sand, feeling the salty breeze through her hair and watching the waves crash on the sandy shore.
