Luna and Lana Sullivan. They were identical twins separated from each other since they were little. As if fate said otherwise, they were bound to meet again with each other after fifteen more years.

Two beautiful women.

Two completely different personalities.

Living two completely different lives.

What will happen when Luna suddenly offers her twin to take her place? Can Lana survive staying in Luna’s big mansion?

Lana had no idea how rich people lived their lives, but believe me, table manners were the least of her concerns.

Her biggest problem is Luna’s husband, Artemis Quinn. CEO of Luxe Kitten.

Handsome and very successful at a young age, he was NYC’s hottest CEO.

Lana made an oath to herself not to fall for her brother-in-law.

But the real question is, how long will that promise last?

CHAPTER 1
Lana POV You could never choose which family to be born at. I guess that’s true. If your parents can buy you anything you want, and you always have warm food served on the table every day, it means you’re lucky. As for me, I was the unlucky one. My parents barely earn enough money to support our daily needs. As an innocent kid, I had no idea how poor my family was until one day mom told me I had to stop attending school. Can you imagine how I felt at that time? When most of the girls my age would get a new Barbie doll or new dresses, I had to stop going to school and help mom sell some cakes instead. The suffering didn’t end just there. My twin sister, Luna, locked herself inside the room. We might be twins, but we had different personalities. I only cried when I was sad, but Luna took the hardships differently. She was actually a more fragile one. Anyone who said that crying is a sign of weakness, they are very wrong. Luna hurt herself when she was alone. She stopped talking to anyone and closed herself completely. Mom and Dad even worried that she might kill herself in the middle of the night while we were all sleeping. That’s why they told me to sleep in the same room as Luna. A month passed in a blur with me working nonstop. I never saw a ten-year-old kid work as much as I did, but I am somehow proud of myself. Then on one Sunday morning, Dad suddenly made a strange request and asked us to put on our nicest dress. “We’re going to have fun today. The bakery is closed for today and I am taking you both out for lunch, and then we’ll go to the amusement park.” He said, smiling. We both were so happy because it’s been a long time since he took us out to play. A happy song was playing inside the car, but I noticed how silent Mom was. She didn’t say a word except to tell us to put on our seatbelts. I looked outside as the car slowed to a stop. A big smile instantly formed on my face. They took us to our favorite diner. We both ordered our favorite cheeseburgers, fries, and their signature chocolate milkshake. This place is like a heaven on earth for us. After we finished eating, we got back into the car, ready for our next destination, the amusement park. It's been forever since the last time they took us to the amusement park. My heart raced as I saw the big signboard that I first thought belonged to the amusement park, but it’s not. I might stop going to school, but I can read. The word orphanage was written in big capital letters. I just don’t understand why we’re here. “Daddy, what is this place? This is not an amusement park?” I asked when he suddenly stopped the car. The car door opened and I saw Dad kneeling in front of Luna. “Luna, come with daddy. I want you to meet someone.” Luna got scared. She jerked back before suddenly grabbing my hand. “No, Daddy!” Luna said, shaking her head. She was already full of tears. What is happening? Dad took Luna, and I was left there alone inside the car. I saw a nun emerge from inside the building she went to greet Dad, and then before I knew it, they left Luna there with the nun. “Lana, from now on, you’re our only child. You don’t have a twin, do you understand me?” Dad explained to me slowly as we drove away. “What about Luna? Why did we leave her alone there? Please go back, Dad!?” I pleaded, tears trickling down my cheek. The image of her being dragged into that gloomy building will forever imprinted on the back of my mind.
