What A View

As we walked down the path, we passed a wooded area. The paths in the courtyard led to various buildings or areas. I figure I will explore them later. I could see a tall building in the distance. It had a pointed top that reminded me of a tower. “What is that building?” I pointed ahead at the tall brick building. “That is your Dormitory,” he said. “How many dormitories are there?” I asked. “We have several. This one is a little further back from the main campus, but I think you’ll appreciate it,” he said. As we approached the front door he let go of my hand. Reaching in his pocket he took out a keycard and swiped it on the box at the door, “I’ll get you a card after dinner,” he opened the door and we walked inside. The lobby was beautiful. A small fountain sat in the middle with benches around it. Vases of various flowers and plants sat in the corners., “It’s beautiful,” I couldn’t wait to see what my room looks like now. “Would you like a tour?” he flashed me that gorgeous smile. How could I say no? “You’re the tour guide, right?” I laughed. “Right this way, my lady,” he bowed slightly, and I laughed. We walked around the corner and stopped at two glass doors. I could see inside and knew it was the Library. I was curious to see what books it held. “It has its own library?” I didn’t expect this. “Yes, you will find a modest collection inside. The main library is across campus and anytime you need a book the assistant can get it usually within twenty-four hours. You can explore here later on your own,” he said. “I really didn’t expect a library in my building. That’s a plus. Do all the dorms have them?” We stopped in front of an elevator. “No, some don’t have them. This elevator will take you down to the lab and computer room. I don’t have the key on me at the moment. You can check it out later, though. Let me show you where you can find snacks and drinks,” he once again took my hand in his. It made me nervous. I’ve held hands with guys before, but we just met. He affected me In ways no guy has before. I’m not sure how I felt about that. I pulled my hand away and pretended to be busy looking at my phone as we walked, “I’m just checking my messages,” I said when he looked at me out of the corner of his eyes. “Expecting an important message?” he chuckled. “A boyfriend maybe? It’s always hard to leave that behind,” I blushed. He thinks I have a boyfriend. What do I say? I wondered, “My friend Lexy was texting me,” I decided to be vague and not answer his question. “Here’s the Cafeteria. Inside you will find snack machines. They serve three meals a day in the main hall. I encourage you to eat there. If you just want a snack, you can come here,” He put his hands in his jean pocket and nodded his head towards the cafeteria. A few people sat inside chatting or eating snacks. A petite girl with purple hair gave me a dirty look, so I decided not to go inside, “I’m not hungry, but I’ll remember where it’s at for later,” “You ready to see your new room, Lina?” his eyes fell momentarily on the purple-haired girl. She quickly turned back around in her chair. I was thankful for no longer be under her rude gaze. She must be some girl who has a crush on Johnny, or perhaps a girlfriend. “Who is she?” I asked as we walked down the dimly lit hall. “That’s Ronnie. She’s nice, you just got to get to know her,” he said. “Is she your girlfriend?” I kept my eyes forward, not wanting to see his face when he answered. It’s the first time in a while that I really liked a guy this way. “No,” he laughed. “Does your boyfriend plan to visit you?” he sounded more serious now. “I don’t have a boyfriend,” I said. We walked a moment in silence when we reached another elevator, “This elevator will take you to your room. Now, remember, only this one goes to the rooms. The other goes to the lab only,” he pressed the button on the elevator and scanned his card again. We stepped inside and he pushed buttons, making the elevator go. The numbers at the top climbed until it stopped at number seven. The doors opened, and we stepped outside. I expected to see many doors leading to rooms, but there was only one door. He walked towards the door, and I follow him. He swiped his badge again and then turned the knob on the door. “After you,” he bowed slightly again, his lips turned up in a playful smile as he winked at me. “You’re silly,” I walked inside the room and gasped. The room looked more like a Suite with a black leather sectional in the middle of the room. A small kitchenette was on the left side. “The kitchen isn’t much, but it has a small refrigerator, toaster oven, and microwave,” he turned on the overhead light, giving me a better view. “Your bedroom is over this way,” I followed him to the back end of the living room area as I took in the modern decor, “It’s beautiful,” I said as he opened the bedroom door revealing a King-size bed. It set high off the ground. I always wanted my bed that way. My parents’ bed is like that. I remembered being a little girl and trying to climb on top of it. My dad would lift me up and put me in between him and mom when I had nightmares. I sat down on the bed and bounced to check the softness of it as johnny giggled at me. “You haven’t even seen the best part yet,” he said. “There's more?” If this place has a jacuzzi, I’m going to scream. He walked over to the window and pulled on the long stick to open the black shade, revealing the most breathtaking view. “Come and look out the window,” he reached forward and took my hand in his and I was unprepared and tripped. He pulled me up, and I readjusted my balance. I can feel his chest against me, as his lips linger dangerously close to mine. His scent envelopes me. It’s raw, powerful, and seductive. For a moment I am paralyzed in his gaze. “You smell like chocolate and honey,” as he whispered, I feel his breath on me. My heart races. Is he going to kiss me? I wonder. He turns around keeping me in his arms and I see exactly why he chose this room, “Is that the Cathedral?” “Yes, and it’s beautiful at night. Now you can see it anytime you want,” I don’t know what came over me, but I leaned up and gently placed my lips on his. He kissed me back. As his lips moved expertly over mine, I could hear a deep moan or growl from the back of his throat. His hands slid slowly down my spine as my stomach flip-flopped and my heart beat fast. I wrapped my fingers through his soft hair and pulled him to me. His lips moved urgently, hungrily over mine. His tongue moved in and out, teasing me, and I moaned as he bit down gently on my lip. “I don’t know what’s gotten into me,” I’ve never kissed a guy first. “I’m sorry,” he pulled back away from me. He reached up and ran his finger gently over my swollen lip where he bit it. “No, I kissed you,” I said. “I got to go,” he practically rushed to the door leaving me staring at him wondering what just happened.
