The whole city was decorated for the Princess’s arrival. All the slaves were forced to work in the castle due to the increase in the workload. The Princess was finally returning home after her fight with her father. The King had many daughters but the Princess Riana was his favorite among others. To welcome his dearest daughter, the king had thrown a big festival like welcome function. If one looked up in the sky there was nothing but sadness looming in that clear blue curtain. The Kingdom was always like this, dry and airy with water scarcity and gloomy all the time. The capital city was in the center of the whole kingdom. The King in total had 3 concubines. There were many, but in the race to the throne many politics were played and lives were treated like chess pieces in a game. The King’s Harem was a very dangerous place yet every girl’s dream. Killing was a fun-loving game in this city.     In the scorching heat, there was a young girl with long dark chocolate-colored hairs, clear black-brown eyes and a pale whiteish skin tone. She was wearing rags and her face was smeared with sooth. She was cooking the feast of some thousands of people alone. The cooks over there lacked the cooking skills, thats what she was told by the way, but it was just another excuse for the torture from her master, Also as her master claimed she was the best cook one could find in the kingdom. Well she certainly was, therefore the delicacies to be made for the royal family had to made by the weak and frail looking girl alone. She was new there. New in the palace and also the capital. Her back was bent and she was busy making breads and other delicate delicacies when suddenly there was a roar and everyone ran helter-skelter in fear. But she just stood there busy with her work. ” ROOAARRR…” There was that sound again, she ignored it thinking it was another heinous task these people were doing to some innocent. On the third roar she looked up and saw something unusual, A scene that she never had seen before.    There was a huge black Dragon standing 10 feet away from her and trying to scare away the people around it. It was big, its teeth looked the size of her whole body. Suddenly, it turned her way and a shiver ran through her body. It was then, that she noticed that she was the only one in sight of the dragon and others had already ran out of the big kitchen-courtyard. She needed big place and the royal kitchens were relatively small for preparation of such big meals. That’s why she was out in the courtyard to make the feast in the first place. She knew that she was in the dragon Kingdom and had seen a fair share of dragons flying around, but she never had seen one at such a close distance and never expected her first experience to be like this. According to a normal person’s reaction she should have fled away, but she did the exact opposite of it and stood numb over there. Animals could sense the fear and would then play with its prey. She stood in the middle of the big courtyard surrounded by big vessels, her hairs open looking very wild, and a blank expression on her face. As fierce as a warrior. She would accept any decision the dragon took. If it wanted to kill her, she was happy with it as her life was a mess, an unending hell and torturous. If it left without harming her, which was very unlikely, she would take it as a blessing and think God had other plans for her. Both options were blessings for her as she had lost the will to live after what she saw and went through in the past few days.      The dragon slowly walked towards her. She stood still, held her breath, waiting for the black animal to eat her up. But it did the opposite it sat beside her, curled its body around her and closed its eyes. But suddenly a whistle sounded from the long distance. The dragon instantly looked alarmed, look towards the little girl, whined and then flew away. As soon as the large body left her body, she fell to the ground. But a brutal kick on her hips brought her back to the present. The Big Black scary looking dragon was better and less fearsome than the human monsters here. Trying to forget the scene that just happened, and praying to God she got busy with her work again. But those crimson red eyes and that golden, black dragon was something she would never forget. Yes, the black dragon had a golden halo surrounding it. She noticed it when it was curled around her. It wasn’t that noticeable, but she was positive it was something special. But instead of studying the dragon’s image she tried to move her arms faster than before. Her tired body protesting with every move.       Somewhere in the middle of the forest, a man was scolding the black dragon. It was the same man, who called the dragon by whistling. The huge, ferocious dragon was now whining like a small newborn kitten. It knelt to the ground and was growling and acting coquettish towards the man. It was a very different scene and a very different attitude than the way it behaved before and created a havoc in the castle. “Okay! Stop doing that. But don’t repeat it again. We are in the capital. I don’t want you to do anything ferocious for now. Come let’s go” with that the man hopped on the dragon’s back and flew away from the castle.
