Chapter Three

Labyrinth P.O.V

It's been two days since we arrived in New York but I haven't left the company of my bed. All I've done was to eat, sleep, watch a movie then go back to sleep again.

Yeah that's not how I imagined my trip would go. I thought once I arrived in America I was going to tour during the day and party all night but unfortunately, I caught a flu. I was going to pull myself together and party tonight but not with this pale face and dried lips.

I lay on my bed thinking of what to do with my face. I know I look good at this very moment but good isn't in my vocabulary. I needed to look astonishing, I'm THE Labyrinth Armani. As I was feeding my ego Jayden walked in. I had not seen him in the past 24 hours.

"To what do I owe the honour of his royal highness gracing my bedroom?" I asked sarcastically.

"Correct me if I'm wrong but since we arrived your highness hasn't spent a minute at home," I teased him

"Just say you miss me and yearn for my embrace instead of nagging like a child. I could take you up the top of my list of people who are in need of my embrace," Jayden responded teasingly.

"How lovely of you to move me up of your list. Like how do you do it? We haven't even spent a week here and you have various ladies going in and out of your room.

What kind of a s*x animal are you? don't you get tired of f*****g? If you invested half the energy you consume on women, into your studies, you would have graduated top of the class," I replied mockingly

"And don't get me started with Jayda she already killed a man in less than 24hrs of her arrival in New York, you guys are going to be the death of me. What happened to keeping things on a low profile?"

Jayden started laughing hysterically and said: "Complain all you want but you are stuck with us. We didn't choose this life style, it chose us," Jayden replied.

"Speaking of Jayda where the hell is she?" He asked.

"Did Someone call my name? I wasn't even gone for 2hrs but you both are already missing me, what will you boys do without me?" Jayda asked, bouncing up and down like a child who just won an ice-cream coupon.

"Jayda what happened to keeping a low profile and not drawing attention to ourselves. It's been barely a week since we came here yet you are this close to completely blowing our cover. I asked you to lay low in order to find out who the boss is around here and who might be our enemies but you went right ahead and did the opposite. I may be your best friend but before that I'm your boss and I would like that my orders are followed," I scolded her.

"Labyrinth you need to calm down. We won't solve the issue at hand, if we go at each other's throat. You were about taking a shower before I walked in, so why don't you go and take a warm shower while Jayda and I think of a way to handle the situation," Jayden said to me calmly.

"Alright but before I'm done showering you both better come up with a solution...."

Jayda and Jayden P.O.V

" What happened Jayda, why were you so careless? You hardly go against Labyrinth orders."

"You know me well, I wouldn't take such drastic decision unless the situation requires it. The man whom I killed was snooping around and asking questions about Labyrinth. I'm sure you remember what father told us. I couldn't let the man live cause he knew too much already.

It is our duty to protect him and if I'd have to defile his orders to protect him I would do it in a blink of an eye," Jayda replied sharply.

"Now I'm really curious as to how he got the information about Labyrinth so easily. Who he is working for; the FBI, CIA or an enemy? what the hell was Lawrence doing? What kind of men does he have working for him? I will send a message to Lawrence to ask all our men to meet us at the warehouse tonight," Jayden said pissed.

There's a rat running around freely in our house, so we must set a trap to catch it," Jayden added.

"Well from what I gathered it's not just one but numerous rats running around freely. Of course you know how much I enjoy playing puzzles. This is going to be hella fun," Jayda replied with an evil smirk.

"Branco di idioti stronzi" (Bunch of Ashole idiots) Jayden yelled out in Italian.

"Calm down brother we are here now, there are going to be some changes."Jayda tries to calm her him down.

"For now let's keep this between us. Remember that father said Lab shouldn't find out about the il capo mission here in America," Jayda added.

"Stop talking he is done bathing," Jayden said hurriedly.

As he came out of the bathroom we both kept straight faces as if nothing happened... and told him we have found how to solve the issue at hand.

"Well there wouldn't been an issue if you weren't so careless Jayda," Labyrinth scolded.

"Lab don't forget about your meeting with the owner of Cosmos Night club," Jayden said to divert the conversation.

Labyrinth P.O.V

They are hiding something from me, i can feel it in my bones. They do this every single time and still get caught by me. They are always giving themselves up the moment they called me 'Lab'. They only call me that when they are planning on doing something awful behind my back. What

Are these two demons up to? Could it be an order from my Father? f**k it I'm just going to ask them up front.

"Jay and Jayd do you guys have some secrets to share with me?"

"Uhm... what do you mean?" They both asked while faking confusion.

"For f**k's sake don't give me that bullshit look. Stop acting like you don't know what I'm talking about. You only call me Lab when you are trying to hide something from me or Pacify me when you have done something wrong or should I say when either one of my parents gives you an order without me knowing the details. So stop trying to patronise me I'm no fool. I know you both too well that I can tell when something ain't right and right now, something doesn't feel right," I replied.

"As your boss and migliore amico (Best friend) I have every right to know what's going on.

Are we clear?"

"Labyrinth you have nothing to be worried about, just trust us even if we don't give you every detail about what's going on. We are not the Enemy so you shouldn't be wasting your time doubting our loyalty to you.

We made a pledge to you, ever since we were teens and we don't plan going back on our words. You've earned our loyalty and trust now it's your turn to trust us," Jayden said to me looking very concerned.

"Well sometimes you make me doubt if your pledge was to me or my dad, don't make me start having regrets of coming to America," I said to the both of them.

"When the time is right, we'll tell you," Jayda replied.

"Are we done here? We need to get ready for the meeting at Cosmos Night club." Jayda added with excitement.

"You know we are going there for business not to party right? And please Jayda be on your best behaviour tonight. Don't let anyone or anything get to you. I am not saying this as a friend but as your boss which means it's an order. Siamo chiari?"

Oliver's P.O.V

I was getting ready to attend the opening of my new club when Lucas, my Gamma as well as my personal assistant, and driver came knocking.

"Oli," He called with a concerned look. "We have got a problem"

"What seems to be the issue Lucas? Is everything going well at the venue? You are not supposed to be here till 10:30pm so why you are here an hour early?"

"It's about the Cosmos club you've had your eyes on for quite some time"

I stopped what I was doing and looked at him intently.

"Don't tell me you failed to acquire that club? You know how important it is for us to acquire Cosmos especially where it's located, so don't give me any excuses."

"We were the strongest contender in the purchasing of the club, it was already ours until Labyrinth entered the picture" Lucas replied.

"Labryinth? Which Labyrinth are you talking of?"

"I'm talking about Labyrinth Armani, Oli"

"Hold on let me get this straight, Cosmos Night club was almost ours to purchase but Labyrinth Armani came into the picture?" I asked utterly confused.

"Apparently, Labyrinth offered ten times our offer, Oli.”

“What business does he have with Cosmos club? Does Rollin know about this?” Anger was beginning to build up in my gut.

“I’m not sure about that, Oli.”

“Well what the hell are you waiting for? Get the car ready, we'd get to club 64 opening ceremony first, that's our top priority at the moment. We don't have to keep our guest waiting, and Jack call Rollin to meet us there as soon as possible”. Lucas left to do as I had ordered.

“Labyrinth Armani you've barely spent a week in my city but you are already a thorn in my flesh. In a rush of anger I yelled Son of a b***h! f**k you! You've got no right, absolutely no right to come into my city and take what is mine!. I'm going to show you who runs the show around here Labyrinth Armani.

This isn't Italy things are done differently around here. He is going to get a taste of my wrath," I took my jacket and stormed out of the room.

Thirty minutes later.

We arrived at the venue, and as I opened the car door, the first person I saw was Rollin running towards me in anguish.

“Easy werewolf, I know I look too damn good” I smirked

“Oli” he called on me with a concerned face. “Why are you so late? Your father has been calling non-stop asking of your whereabouts. I gave him all the excuses I could think of. Why didn't you answer your phone? We were both scared that something bad must have happened to you.”

“I understand you being worried about me, but my father being worried, that I'm still trying to comprehend right now Rolli. Cause he knows how well I can handle myself."

“Don't act like you don't know why he is worried. One of the Armani's is in town. You and I know how vicious that family could be. So it shouldn't surprise you that your father is worried about you Oli, you may not want to admit it but your father really cares about you,” Rollin said supporting my father's action.

“Enough with the chitchat Rollin, the guests are waiting for me. Its not business wise to keep them waiting. And tell Lucas to keep a tab on Labyrinth, if he makes a move on Cosmos, you both must notify me immediately. Am I clear?”

“Yes Alpha Oliver.”
