Chapter Two

1008 Words
I moved hastily behind my desk, trying not to think about the way Mr. Blackwell had looked at me and the way his touch had made my heart beat faster.  I grabbed my name badge off of my black leather bag, the one I had spent far too much money on. I quickly rushed towards the elevator and pushed the button to take me to the basement.  As I waited I nervously tapped my foot and pushed my glasses up my nose, I glanced back towards his office. My thoughts were racing as I waited, I needed to just let it go.   Maybe I was reading too much into the situation? The short time I had been working here I had heard rumors in the break room, about Mr. Blackwell and the women he liked and the things he liked to do behind closed doors. Biting my lip, I looked back at the smooth metal elevator doors in front of me.  I hadn’t seen him bring anyone to his office and we’ve worked plenty of late nights with no one bothering to check in on him.  Maybe he was having a dry spell as well?   That's all that was wrong with me, I was just having a dry spell and my libido was getting out of control seeing something where there was nothing. The elevator dinged open, cutting my thoughts short as I stepped into the small confined space.  I watched the doors slip closed as I thought about the water-cooler gossip I had heard when I first started; I leaned back against the cool metal wall and closed my eyes thinking about what I had heard that started my little daydreams. “Did you hear about Mr. Blackwell and Sarah from accounting?” “What, no.  I didn’t think she was into the kinky stuff I’ve heard he likes.”  A shocked feminine voice said in hushed tones, causing me to glance up from my salad. Two overly polished women stood by the espresso machine, their blonde hair perfect and lustrous, reminding me of a shampoo commercial.  I looked back at my lunch, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, trying not to call attention to myself as I eavesdropped in on their conversation. “Apparently he likes to spank beforehand, or at least that’s what she told me.”  The one with long, perfectly curled blonde hair said I could almost imagine the smirk on her ruby red lips. “I’d let him spank me anytime,” Blonde number two said, at least that’s what I had labeled them in my head.  It made me smile thinking about a factory mass-producing perfect looking secretaries, I could never be one of them.  I would always be the nerdy one, and I was fine with that. “Tiffany from advertising said he’s a literal beast between the sheets.”  Blonde number one said turning away from the counter and heading towards the doors, blonde number two’s heels clicking behind her. “Shut up, they did not sleep together.”  She said in hushed tones, I could feel my ears burning from their conversation and I felt a little guilty about listening in to the office gossip.   “They so did, she told me so herself-”  I could hear the clicking of their stiletto heels and their voices trailing off down the long corridor. One thing I had learned through that day, my new boss and I had the same kink.  Although with what they had said, I decided that I would try to stay away from him as best as I could.  I would not be some notch on his bedpost, a fantasy here and there was okay, but I was more than some one-night stand.  It didn’t need to go further than that, or so I had thought until he had used that voice earlier.  I could feel my cheeks warming up again, the elevator opened, and I looked up checking to see which floor it had stopped on, it was the basement.  I looked down at the list as I walked out of the elevator. I hoped everything would be easy to find and I could carry it all up in one go. I ran into something hard and firm; I lost my balance teetering on my heels when his hand grabbed me firmly and pulled me into his chest, keeping me from falling.  He smelled amazing; I looked up into a set of twinkling violet eyes. “If you wanted me to hold you all you had to do was ask, little one,” he said smirking down at me. “Louis,” I gasped, feeling heat creeping along my cheeks and down my neck as I backed up, straightening my blouse. “I love the way my name rolls off your tongue.”  He whispered, stepping closer to me as I stepped back. “So not appropriate,” I said warning him, this was a place of business and his casual flirting could get us into trouble or at least called into HR.   “When did I ever say I was appropriate?”  Louis said with a low chuckle, making me roll my eyes. “This is why they keep you in the basement, I’m here to pick up some things for Mr. Blackwell,”  I said holding up the sheet of paper.   “You wound me so,” I watched as he clutched his chest in mock pain, “I thought you were here to finally confess your love for me.”  He said plucking the paper from my hand with two long elegant fingers. “You’ll survive,”  I said rolling my eyes, a small smile playing across my lips even as I tried to fight it. “Will my heart though?”  Louis said, glancing back at me with a smirk on his full lips.
