RONAN

Ellora fell asleep on my arms last night after we had the first fight as a couple. I didn’t know that she had it in her, the fierce side of her when she’s the one taking control of the fight last night. And I can’t believe that I actually backed down for her.

But it was all worth it.

I can’t afford to lose her just because of that fight. I can see last night how vulnerable she is when she’s crying in front of me, thinking that she was insane for letting me hurt her.

And I feel so f*****g bad that I did.

I didn’t mean to hurt her in so many ways, especially like that. But I can’t turn back time.

If Camilla is indeed pregnant with my own child, I can’t do anything and I won’t do anything but to accept my child wholeheartedly.

And I have to make up with Ellora for what I did for the rest of her life. Not that I am complaining. All I need right now is for her to trust me.

The make-up s*x we had, is so f*****g good. I meant it when I say that I will make her pregnant. And the surprising thing is; she lets me.

She let me come inside her. As if she was ready to build a family with me.

The s*x is nothing, not like what other s*x we had. Last night, we made love.

Passionately.

I didn’t know that I will do such thing like that. But me with Ellora, nothing is impossible.

That girl holds me by my soul and my heart and even my body.

The morning hits different when I can’t sleep and she’s on my arms, sleeping peacefully, naked for my glory.

Both of us still naked from last night. And I am not complaining thus my girl is perfect lying there with her pale skin and raven dark hair.

She flutters her eyes open slowly.

“Good morning.” I whispered to her as I kissed her forehead.

“You didn’t sleep?”

I shake my head “Yeah. But I am fine.”

She put her palm on my chest and my heart heaves soon after to her warmth.

“I’m sorry for what I did.”

She smiled weakly “We’ll figure this out.”

I nod “I know.” I put my arms around her tiny frame getting cozy as her bedroom door burst open.

I immediately covered Ellora her blanket around her body as she screams.

“What is this?”

It’s the reverend.

He’s standing perfectly still on Ellora’s bedroom door, his eyes were big and bloodshot. It’s as if he sees a real-life devil.

Ellora tightened her grip on my arms as she cries instantly at the view of her father catching us in her bed, naked, together.

“Papa, let me explain.”

Her father turns around “Get dress, and get downstairs.”

Ellora stood up with her blanket wrapped around her naked form, and I get dressed not bothering to make it fast because there’s no need, we got caught.

But I am not bothered. As far as I know, Ellora is my girlfriend and she is an adult capable of doing things like having s*x. And making her own decision in life.

Ellora tried her best to talk to her Father but her father starts rummaging all Ellora’s stuff inside her bedroom.

I immediately hold Ellora on her arms to make far away, as far away as possible to her old man.

The last thing I want is him, laid his hands again on Ellora. Because by then, I don’t know what I can do to him.

“Papa, stop.” Ellora cries.

“What did he do to you?!” he points to me.

“Nothing, Papa.”

“Did he force you?!” he shouts.

And I scoffed at his absurd judgement, but I didn’t talk nor get in the way between them. I let Ellora handle this.

“No, Papa. Ronan is my boyfriend.” Ellora cries, as her Father kept on throwing things around, making Ellora’s bedroom thrashed.

"I can't believe it, I know he's just scaring you. Don't be scared, Little angel. I'm here." Her Father said.

Ellora shakes her head. “You don’t understand.”

I put my hands on Ellora’s back “We are dating. For a while now. As far as I know, Ellora is an adult.”

He shakes his head “No! she’s just a child you take advantage!”

I scoffed “She’s eighteen years old. She’s not a child anymore.” I told him calmly.

“I will call the police.” He fished his phone out and dialed.

“Papa, please. No. don’t do this.” Ellora begs beside me. making her way to her father.

"Go on, embarrass yourself even more for what you do."

Less than a few hours later, the Police mobile arrived outside Ellora's house, the Reverend reported that a rape took place right inside his house. I didn't fight back because I knew that the truth would come out to Ellora herself that what her father was saying was pure lies.

As soon as the Police, who are also my staff here in Pennsylvania, entered, they immediately removed Ellora by myside. I didn’t know that so many police officials went to entertain the Reverend’s show. I saw that they get Ellora as far away from me as possible, while she was crying when she saw that I was being handcuffed. And I also saw how evil her father was hiding in the bible and cross of the church but underneath is a f*****g devil in disguise.

I need to get Ellora out of his custody immediately. I can’t f*****g trust him.

When I came out of their house while two policemen were helping me out.

Welcome to Nashville
SONG FOR THIS CHAPTER                                                    Perhaps Love-Eric Nam & Cheeze CHAPTER ONE RONAN 7th of August year 2000 When you hear the name Hawthorne you can only think of two things: Power and Strength. I can’t decide yet if carrying that name came from luck or misfortune. But at that time, I am proud that I am the only heir who will carry that last name. I came from a rich family, from the ancestry of our family to my Dad. You can practically say that I am a privilege kid. And I will do everything to prove to everyone that I am a Hawthorne. Dad is famous in the field of politics. As far as I know at my age, he is a seasoned and thorny politician so he has a lot of enemies. This year he ran for Governor in the town of Nashville in Pennsylvania. I don’t know if I’ll ever be happy with the last name I carry, because we moved to a new town. As far as I know, this is where the roots of the Hawthorne’s is, so Dad told me that night that I have nothing to fear because the townspeople of Nashville will protect us because the Hawthorne’s are known and feared in that area. I should feel relieved, but I didn't, I felt scared even more as a 10-year-old kid in a new environment. We are on our way in our new house that Mom made sure I would like because there are also a lot of kids living there. While we were in the car, Mom pointed out all the beautiful places and sights that there is here in Nashville, and it is true that our place is very beautiful. I kept looking at Dad so that he could comfort me no matter how scared I was, but he didn't even look at me because he was too busy on his cellphone while talking to anyone. I know Dad’s dreams are high and he has good plans for our family. He always saying this quote to me “The one who wants the crown will bear the weight of the crown." And as I get older, I understand better what that quote means. Dad is living with a heavy crown lies on his head right now. There’s no use to asked questions because Dad raised me honest.  He didn’t leave any filter, he was so always open in everything about me. I know he’s ruthless and feared and he didn’t even try to hide it.  He always says what’s the point of hiding something from me that when I grow up, I will learn eventually. I always knew Uncle albert; Dad’s twin brother is a Mafia king. And known throughout the country.  I know Dad and Mom just married because of a fixed marriage. But love each other eventually. This is the beauty of our family. They won’t hide the truth from someone like me. I realized that what was around me was always true. I realized what kind of family I had at the early age. And they never considered me a child to be taken care of. Because the blood of a Hawthorne runs in my veins. “How about Uncle albert?” I asked Mom but Dad is the one who looks at me. "Uncle albert will always visit us, don't worry." Dad answered me but he did not remove his cellphone from his ear. “That’s good.” I sighed. Mom must have noticed my sadness and kissed the top of my head. “You will love this place, Ronan. I am sure.”  I smiled at her to ease her guilt. Soon our car stopped at a very large ancestral house. My mouth gaped because it is so massive. Thrice the size of our previous home in California.  “This is where the Hawthorne’s were raised, son.” Dad said beside me, smiling proudly. “This is beautiful.” I told him. “It is. Come on, let’s get you out here.”  We got out of the car and saw Dad greeting an elderly man in his early 40’s who was next to our house and entered immediately. Mom and I stopped to greet the man. Compared to our house, his house is just a 3-storey house full of flowers and leaves. Small but looks comfortable home, unlike our house. “Good afternoon, Reverend Sullivan.” Mom greet him politely, so he’s a reverend.  He smiled at me and Mom warmly, but not with that. “Good afternoon, Reena. It’s been too long.” He said to Mom. Mom nods smiling “It is. This is my son, Ronan. Ronan meet Reverend Jaimie Sullivan. The town’s one and only Reverend.”  I blessed in his hands as a sign of respect. And he pats my head and chuckles. “This boy’s politeness came from his mother.” He said that I know he is not a fan of my father, but I just smiled back at him. He is a reverend after all. Mom and Reverend Sullivan talks about my grandparents, As I looked up to his home, I saw a girl as my age looking at us from the window. She has very black and long straight hair, she’s wearing a white night gown and she’s hugging a teddy bear as she waved and smiled at me. That’s creepy. She looks like the girl from the movie I have watched the exorcist. Just looking at her making the hair on my neck stood up. So I avoid looking up at her. I decide to let Mom and Reverend Sullivan to talk and roam around our house.  To say this is a house is underrated, this is a mansion. We also have a very huge garden at the back of the mansion.  As I keep on walking a boy around my age whistles on my direction and run towards me. “Hey, you the Hawthorne boy?” He asked holding a basketball. “I am. Who are you? What are you doing here?” “Oh, I am James Butler. I am living there.” He points to the massive house same like ours in the middle of the trees behind our mansion. “Nice to meet you.”  He nods.  "By any chance, do you see a girl there at Reverend Sullivan's house?" He chuckles. “Why?” "Nothing. Never mind." I don't want him to think I'm scared so I chose to shrug the feeling. “Don’t worry, she’s not a ghost or something. She’s Ellora. Reverend Sullivan’s only daughter.” He explained. “Oh that’s good.” I chuckle. “I can’t blame you, she looks like an angel or something. Her hair is so raven dark and her skin is pale white. But she’s just like that. But she’s clever and sometimes annoying.” I nod. “She is.”  “Listen, I heard you’re going to study in Nashville Academy. See you. Glad to have you as my new friend.” He waved goodbye and I did the same. I guess it won’t be boring as I thought it would be here in Nashville. I am sure to be friends with James, but I can’t decide yet if I am going to be friends with that Snow white living next door.
