SONG FOR THIS CHAPTER LOVE-LYN & HANHAE CHAPTER TWO RONAN The next day, James and I were waiting at the school bus stop when Snow white suddenly stepped beside us. I'm used to calling her Snow white because it's more appropriate for her than her name given that her skin is so pale white and when you look closely at her hair, it's not black but dark raven haired. Unfortunately, her bedroom window is right in front of my bedroom window too. So, I got to have glimpse at her that night. I know I shouldn’t look at another people’s room, but there is something in her that I want to take a look. She’s like this mystery, or I am just bored enough to even noticed her. Because I am sure, if we are in California, I wouldn’t even bother to look at her. She smiled at us sweetly. “Good morning.”  “Hey, Ellora.” James greeted her and I am sure as hell she blushed. As I said, she’s pale white so you can immediately notice the sudden redness of her cheeks. So, she likes James. Not me, so it’s safe to befriend her. “Hi.” I greeted her and smiled at me casually. “I am Ellora Vivieka Sullivan. It is nice to meet you.” She offered me her hands.  “You’re annoying.” I smiled at her and she chuckles for me to avoid holding her hand. I am sure if I hold it, it will be too cold like a vampire. “Yeah, I am used to everyone calls me annoying.” I looked at her but I didn’t see a pain in her face just a normal reaction. Some time the bus came and the three of us ride. James sat down first and I had to sit next to him but Snow white preceded me next to James, I wanted to protest but I saw her smiling and she looked happy next to James, so I let her. During my first day in class, everything went well because of James' help and I made new friends. But one of my favorite friends is Cloud, he had this I don't give a f**k aura on him and i feel we will get along well. Some time the principal gathers all the students on the auditorium and called my name, he announced that I am Governor Benedict Hawthorne’s son. Everyone clapped their hands and greeted me warmly, Including James and Cloud. But the most dominant applause was none other than Snow white who seemed to have been my friend for a long time. Cheering on me from a distance. Smiling wildly to me. And looking at her makes me warm and welcomed. But I mouthed towards her "Annoying" And I saw her chuckles. Sitting next to James and Cloud I looked at Snow white again and now she is busy. “What’s the deal with Ellora?” I asked James. Cloud chuckles next to us. “Ellora likes James since second grade.” “Oh? She is?”  James laughs “Yeah, but I have no intention of pursuing her.”  “Why?”  Cloud and James chuckles "She's beautiful, really. She has a unique beauty that only she has. But I don't want to be the main topic in her Father's church every Sunday." That make sense. I chuckle “You do have a fair point.”  I looked back at her again and this time she’s looking at James from afar. She didn’t even notice that someone else is looking at her right now.  During the weekends, I have nothing else to do but to play with Cloud and James.  This afternoon, I am busy minding my own business reading my favorite book, when I heard a splash across the Sullivan’s garden. I peek at the garden, it was small but unlike ours their garden is full of life, full of flowers. That is when I saw Snow white gardening and talking to the flowers that made me chuckle and she snapped her head immediately at me. “Why?” she asked. “You ae talking with the plants?” I asked her amused. But it seems normal to her because her face doesn’t even change from curiosity. She nods, “I am. Aren’t you not?”  I shook my head “I’m not. Don’t get me wrong. It just..” “Weird?” her face held sadness. And she looks at me. “Kind of.” I answered her truthfully. She smiled “It is okay, I heard about it a lot.” “What? You heard often that you are weird?”  She nods “Yeah. I can’t blame them. Sometimes being weird is okay.” She said positively. “How so?” I pressed. “Being weird means you’re different than others. Right?” She said. But I can’t view her point. “Yeah?” “So, it means I am one of kind.” She smiled wildly and continue to garden.  I smiled at her perspective. She seems to don’t mind all those negative things everyone saying on her.  Then I notice the black flowers that I never seen before.  “What is that?” “This Is black dahlia. Haven’t you seen one before?” I shook my head. “No. Why you want that kind of flower? I peg you as a sunflower type of girl.” She chuckles. “This is my mom’s favorite.” There it is the sadness again. “Ellora!” Reverend Sullivan called her from the back door. She stood up and smiled at me, “I better go.” Then she went inside. Mom is waiting for me as if she witnessed me and Ellora talking, and smiled sadly. “You can’t keep her as your friend, Ronan. Anyone else, but her.” “Why?”  “Reverend Sullivan is against your Dad’s political view, I don’t think he wants Ellora to be friends with you.” I looked at the garden where Ellora is earlier, and I feel a sudden pang in my chest.
