Andy Park first became aware of this way of life when he was a child as he grew up, even though he was his parent's only child, they were unable to meet his needs; he did not even graduate from high school. At the age of eighteen, he decided to drop out of high school and begin working to help his parents. He tried to get any job with a high salary to save money, but it was still insufficient because they had a lot of bills and he was also a minor at the time, so his salary will be held by his parents, unbeknownst to the young man, his parents are spending all of his money on their vice and gambling. He will be twenty-six years old this year, and his salary at his current job is low. He is also considering finding a new job so that he can pursue his dream of studying again and getting a degree, even though he is old and late. He can make it happen someday. "Bring it to table no. 7," their barista ordered; he nodded, then took the tray with a matcha drink and cake; he went to the table where his coworker was referring to and carefully placed the orders; the customer thanked him before he left and returned to his place to wait for another order. "Andy," he turned to see who was calling him, Cristel, their shop's cashier. "Why?" he asked the girl, who now had a red face and shyly parted her hair. Andy knew the girl liked him when he looked at her. "What is it..." she paused for a moment before continuing, "Are you free later?" Andy thought for a moment before responding, "Right now maybe nothing, but Sir Juls ordered me," Cristel smiled, "Okay, if we do go out?" "Are you asking me for a date?" "Haha, maybe" Andy didn't speak again, and Cristel went back to what she was doing because a new customer came in. While standing, Andy felt his phone vibrate even though he wasn't supposed to answer the call, so he excused himself first to go out for a while, and when he was allowed to go, he immediately went easily. He picked up his phone and answered the call. "What time are you coming home later?" he heard his mother's voice because usually, the father is the one holding their phone. "Maybe later at ten," he uttered, looking at his wrist, where his watch was. "Do you need anything, Mom?" he said. The person on the other line waited for a few minutes before the lady spoke again: "Nothing, I just want to know so we can leave some food for you later. Go ahead and work there. Goodbye." she didn't wait to Andy to speak again and hung up, the young man wondering what's wrong with his mother because this is the first time the lady said that they will leave food for him, maybe his parents are just in a good mood now, he shook his head and took a deep breath as he released it immediately then went back inside to work. . . . . . . . . "Oh!" Mr. Park groaned when he received a blow from the leader of the armed men who came to their house. Mrs. Park just drowned next to him, trembling because of the fear that she would be next. "Profundis has given you a week to pay the debt, I expected you to have the money you should have now but you still don't have it," said Primo, who is the right hand of the leader of Profundis, a well-known and feared mafia in their town, no one knows the big boss yet and only his men come out to charge. "Boss, we've ransacked the whole house; they're not hiding any money," reported the one ordered by Primo to go around. The young man sighed, he looked around, and his eyes fell on a photo attached to the door of a room before going up the stairs. "Whose room is that," he asked Mrs. Park, who pointed a gun at her, and immediately answered, "My child's." He ordered his men to open it, and they immediately did. "Is your child a girl or a boy?" he asked again. "a boy," He smiled at the lady's answer, and the men who were with him came out of the room carrying a piggy bank with a note of saving it for college. "Boss, this is all we got," they reported, and Primo took it. "It's still not enough to replace the one you owed, but it's okay. Pack the stuff inside the room; you all won't leave anything behind." He ordered again. The couple were nervous about what they wanted to do. Primo looked at them and said, "Call your son. Tell me where he is now and what time he's coming home. He's the only thing you have to pay for us" . . . . . "You're going to close the shop tonight," their manager ordered him. Andy forgot that he was the one to close the shop, so he told Cristel not to wait for him to come home because he still has a lot to clean. He wiped the last table used by their last customer and took down the window blinds. He also did not forget to flip the signage to let people know that they are closed. After he fixed everything, he got dressed and turned off all the lights before leaving the shop. He was sure that everything was locked. He didn't have the key; it was with another worker who came early to open the shop. He went through the back door and locked it carefully. Andy sighed before starting on his way towards the bus stop because the last trip was later and he needed to reach the last bus to pass. The bus stop is quite far from where he works, so he just has to walk faster, knowing the night was dangerous because of some gangs roaming around. "Good evening," he greeted the old woman he always met on the way. The lady was going home after selling all her goods on the street. The old woman smiled and then greeted him back before continuing to walk. He grinned when he saw from a distance the waiting shed where the buses stopped, but he was about to cross. He stopped first when he saw a light, signaling that a car would pass. He thought the car was going to pass him, so Andy was very surprised when it suddenly stopped in front of him and pulled him into a black van. "Let me go!" he screamed as they covered his eyes with a blindfold. He tried to struggle to get away. "Shut him up because the noise might be heard by someone. Primo will be angry if a civilian is involved." He heard one of them say that he was about to cover Andy's mouth, but the young man bit his hand. "Argh!" the man moaned and was about to punch Andy for what he did. "Bro! "Maybe the boss will scold us if we have a bruise," Fabio said to his companions. They had no choice but to use their last ace; they held Andy tightly so as not to struggle, and then someone injected him in the neck. Andy felt it, but he suddenly became weak and gradually lost consciousness.
