The Little Princess of Albert Family

"Beep! Beep !” My surroundings were so calm that only the sound of the ICU could be heard. Slowly my eyes opened, I tilted my head to the right and blinked twice as my vision was fuzzy. In a few seconds, my vision became clear and I saw a man resting his head on my bed. I was tasty and didn't want to disturb the person sleeping next to me, therefore I attempted to get up but shrieked in pain while my face turned ugly. I discovered that my body was in intense pain that I couldn’t lift my legs or turn without yelping. In a soft voice, I called out, “Lan! Landon!” I called out with a dazed look, Landon sprang up as he was startled by my voice, he rubbed his eyes with doubt and staggered. He moved closer as he saw that I was wide awake. His tone was ugly, but he still couldn’t hide his concern. “You’re awake?” “Why am I here? Lan” I asked with a bulgy vein in my forehead as I was in unbearable pain. He looked dumbstruck and was taken aback for a moment, I guess this was not the reaction he expected from me the moment I saw him. However, the reverse is the case, he instantly noticed that something was off. Since I left the mystic tribe for six years and had refused to return home, I had cut off every connection that would lead them to me. I guess something must have happened which had enabled him to find me. Landon gazed at me and felt distanced from me as we’d been quite distant since I left the mystic tribe. I coughed violently, feeling my throat dry and crappy. “Water.” Landon's mouth parted like he wanted to say something, but when he heard my croaky voice he immediately poured me a glass of water. He carefully helped me to sit up, “You’re lucky there are no severe wounds, after all, you were roughly hit by a car.” He mumbled while placing a pillow behind me. After gulping down the water, I handed the glass cup back to Landon. “Where’s he?” Landon placed the glass on the table, he sneered with both hands in his pocket. “They called him, but he didn’t show up.” I frowned and was confused as I didn't understand a single thing he was saying. “Who’s He?” I asked after thinking for a moment. “Is he the bystander that brought me in?” Landon was perplexed, his face said it all, he regained his senses in a second and asked. “Liam!” "Who is Liam?" I was more confused as I had never heard the name before, although I felt a grip in my chest which was seemingly weird. However, Landon was in bewilderment, "Wait! What are you saying? You don't know Liam?" when he saw me shake my head sideways, he was so awestruck that he pressed the emergency button beside the bed. Shortly after, the doctor arrived with two nurses and examined me. “Although she only sustained minor injuries, the force had left a blood clot in her brain. Frantically, she has selective Amnesia” The doctor explained. My brother Landon, led the doctor out of my ward and thanked him. He came back moments later, standing in front of me with his gaze never leaving my face. Shortly after, he asked, “What do you remember?” My brows met as I stared at Landon like he was a clown. “I’m McKenna Albert, the rotten spoiled daughter of the Albert family of the mystic tribe, you’re my elder brother Landon. Well, I ran away from home to go snow skating with my college friends, I think that’s where I had the accident.” I recounted. Landon was stunned. ‘What the f**k? How can McKenna only remember this?’ He was still thinking to himself when suddenly a thought hit his mind. A glint flashed in Landon’s eyes, ‘This is great! the right time for me to save my mentally deranged little sister from love!’ He cleared his throat and solemnly left a remark, “Liam, the man I talked about is a Jerk. He's Liam Romano, don't go close to him. Do you get it?” I nodded my head in confusion and relaxed back on the bed. Meanwhile, my injury had healed after staying in the hospital for a week, Landon brought me back to the Mystic tribe and the Albert Villa. Although I had not returned home for six years, I ran into the house with ease as memories of my childhood in the Albert mansion flooded my head. Abruptly, I saw my mother in her favorite garden, digging the soil with two servants assisting her, I ran into the garden and hugged her. “Mom, I’m back. You didn't visit me for the past few days, ain't you worried about me?” I inquired, nibbling my face on Mum's neck. She'd already known about my selective amnesia from my brother Landon. Although mum had missed her only daughter, she still couldn’t bring herself to meet me, she’d been hopefully waiting for me at home, that one day I’d come to my senses and return home. However, today was different, she had spoken with Landon and had gotten the news of my arrival. Mum was so excited that she didn’t bother to go out, she was in the garden the whole time watching the plants grow and digging the soil. Mum was absentminded while speaking to me, her thoughts were chaotic as she was wondering what I’d look like all these years. I pulled away from her and inquired, gazing deeply into her eyes. She patted my head and said calmly, “Landon hid it from me, I think he wants to surprise me.” Landon was struck dumb and felt like he was hearing things. He wanted to retort because he did not want to take the blame for this. “Good girl, let’s go in first. Mum made your favorite.” I cheered in excitement and ran into the house. I’d feel Mum's gaze following me around till my figure disappeared, her heart was heavy and conflicted with different emotions. Suddenly, Mum's face turned fierce, she tilted her head to the side and her eyes came in contact with Landon, with her tone bitter, she affirmed. “Delete everything about Mckenna, make sure that man cannot find any clue of her existence, and ensure that they never meet again!” “Yes, Mom,” Landon responded. Fifteen years ago, when I was just ten years old and Landon was sixteen. Dad eloped with his lover leaving mum to herself. She had raised us and expanded the Albert business, she brought back the dignity of the mystic tribe which contains, the Faes, merfolk, fairies, and shifters, name them. You can find any creatures in the mystic tribe who are known to be powerful but mysterious. Mrs. Albert has refrained from the outside world, she was not into earthly things, except for the royal court affairs which she handled once in a season that Landon almost forgot that she was a resolute and unwavering woman who had built the Mystic tribe and the Albert Group from scrape after the injury caused by my father. Now the family was complete, Landon was at ease with no worry that I would have anything to do with that douchehead. So he hosted a welcome party for me to show the whole people in the mystic tribe that his sister and the little princess of Albert's family was back.
