"I'm leaving tomorrow.", I announced to Grandma as I stood in the kitchen area, making her some chicken steaks. "Okay!", She stated casually. I knew she was dodging this topic and I also knew the exact reason. "Well... So who's coming with me?", I said a bit cheerily placing down the steak on the pan and washing my hands out and drying them with the apron. "I don't know. I'm not.", She said out clearly. "Then I'm not leaving you here alone.", I told her back. "Don't be stupid Amy. Your family's there.", She argued being the rational woman she was. "You're also my family, I can't leave you alone.", I argued back. "Who says you're leaving me alone? I have Hazel here. You're leaving her incharge of everything. Aren't you?", She asked me sitting on the kitchen table. I flipped over the steaks and inserted a knife in the middle of check the rawness of the meat. Dr. Chase recommended her to have only lean protein, so in order to motivate her, I had to survive on chicken and low protein source meat. "I am leaving her in charge, but my mind won't be at ease with you here all by your own.", I told her taking out the steak out of the pan and placing it down on the plate and cutting it into two halves. "Amy.... Don't worry about me. I've lived a time when there was no one, and my head was always on stake because of my son's sins. Now look at me I'm completely safe here. There's a guard, a chauffeur, the housekeepers, cooks. Who told you I was alone?", She reassured me with a smile. "You'll still be away from me. Don't you want to visit mom's grave?", I asked the most sensitive question, yet I didn't bother to be afraid to ask her. "That's why I don't want to come. I'm not prepared for this.", She said through a heavy voice. "How long would it take you to be prepared?", I asked her with a voice full of concern. "Just a little more time. What if I change my mind and just follow you up?", She offered with a smile. "Then why not just come now?", I forced her. "Amy.... Please. Not now.", With that she finished off the conversation without hearing my final word. ************* Heading back home gave me a major nostalgia. "I still don't get it... Your father's a billionaire and you're traveling on a local airline.", Hazel complained as I check in my luggage and took out my boarding pass. "I'm still going on in a business class.", I told her with a smile. "Yeah... But still... Nothing beats a private jet.", She argued. "Dad's really busy with handling everyone around him and then I just thought it's better to travel on your own.", I told her as I passed down the security check and was going in for the final clearance. I turned around and stood facing her. I wore a simple black turtle neck, followed by a pair of light blue jeans and long boots, given to the season, I was preparing myself for the warm Cherwood breeze. I even held down an extra coat in my arm, just in case because I hadn't seen much of a cold weather since Miami waves didn't let me. "I'm going to miss you.", She said smiling lightly. "Hey... I'm just going for a week or so. I'll be back soon.", I reassured her back with my smile. "It's just.... I've never been to the office without you and now not seeing you in your cabin everyday... It'll just be proliferative.", She said through a sad tone. "Oh my God... You're actually giving me goodbye speech, shut up! I'll be back within a week.", I leaped into a hug with her. "Are you going to meet everyone?", She asked me standing in front of me. And I knew what she meant by everyone. "The last time I saw on TV on the insider was that Laura Pinkman and Kevin Cornwell were planning on their big wedding to be placed in Cherwood and I have no track on the rest of my old friends.", I told her completely ignoring what she actually wanted to know. "And what about him?", She asked not dropping off the topic. "What about him?", I asked her back with stiffness in my voice. "Amy you really need to see him. At least talk to him. You need your closure. And move on.", She suggested. "I already have. What are you talking about?", I argued. "Don't you think I know why you couldn't just have s*x with that Carter asshole? It wasn't just your dignity, but also your heart that still longs for him. What if he has long forgotten you? You really need to get over him. Just see him at least once. Do you even know where he is?" I shook my head as a negative to her answer. "And yet you can't just move on. Just see him at least. Just so you can settle with your heart at an agreement.", She tried knocking some sense in me. I didn't know who was so adamant here.... My brain, my heart or my ego. No movement to anywhere. The announcement went off, announcing the gate number for me to proceed. As I was waving her off two hot studded tall men passed by me and Hazel gestured me making a whistle mouth. "Hey! Hot boys!", She called them and they both instantly turned around like it was something that happened to them on daily basis. "She's single and an almost virgin.", Hazel announced out loud making them look at me and shooting my cheeks red with embarrassment. As I tried hiding my face with my hands. I won't spare her, once I get back. ************** I landed on to the airport and I hadn't informed dad about the timings or even the day so I decided to hit home directly and grabbed a taxi. On my way, I rolled down the window pane and let the cool Cherwood breeze hit my face. I closed in my eyes and took in the feeling of being back home. I've actually missed home. There's no comfort like home. No matter where ever you go, whoever you become -- home will always be your comfort. I finally stopped in front the O'Neil mansion getting out of the taxi. I grabbed my bag and walked down towards the main door. I heaved a sigh before getting any closer. Just how fast things change, nostalgia kept on hitting me pretty hard by every passing second. How I moved in to this mansion with my entire family and how now I'm coming back here after I left this place to find myself. Coming back here after completely discovering myself all over again, feels like a refreshing sensation running down my entire spine as an exciting nerve. I went to the main gate and saw a guard standing at ease and stiffened immediately as soon as he saw me. He wasn't Oswald, our old guard who was more loyal to dad then to even his own life. I wonder where he went. "Who are you? Do have an appointment?", He asked. Of course he might have no idea about me but I still needed to get in. "I'm Amy.... Cole O'Neil's middle child.", I told him and he immediately stepped back opening the door like he was expecting me to simply say those words to be let in. Perhaps in this manner anyone could get in and the new security definitely sucked. I went straight ahead and entered inside the house, without ringing the bell. I went straight ahead and stood in the middle of the lounge. The huge exquisite living area. Everything was the same, as I left except for the essence it gave off. It felt different. I felt chills all over my body as I stood in the middle of the house. "What in heavens are you doing here?", I heard a little voice and turned around to see Carolina standing in the middle of the stairs and watching me with a confused expression. She had grown up in her height, a bit taller than a nine years old. Her facial features were just the reflection of Margaret and her blonde hair that were rolled up to lose curls confirmed her as Margaret's daughter. She came down and offered me her hand to shake. Perhaps it was going to be awkward with her as I left when she was only three and now for a nine years old girl she stood quite confidently. I smiled back at her and took her hand. "What are you doing here?", She asked again taking me off guard with her question. "Well... Didn't dad tell you I was coming over?", I asked her trying to make a conversation with her. "Whatever. I need to go with my friends. I'll see you later.", She smiled my way making her way out leaving me standing with surprised expressions. I definitely missed a lot on her. I turned my gaze and saw Margaret standing upstairs holding the railings to the staircase. She watched me with intended look giving me no expressions, rather a grim face. I smiled her way, waving my hand but she gave me instead a poker face and turned around leaving like wind out of storm. That was pretty humiliating, but she had been through a lot and her anger towards me was justifiable. I made my way towards my room and much to my surprise it was still the same. Everything was exactly how I left it to be. The bed was placed exactly at the same corner, with the chair hanging down low. It seemed like no one entered inside this room for years. Yet it still made me feel warm. I looked at the time and it was still an hour before dinner so I decided to grab myself a little more air and visit some of the town to loosen myself. I made my way down the stairs and went into the garage. My Porsche stood still, clean, shiny and intact. I grabbed the keys and roared the engine. How badly I missed this baby. I made my way out, towards a place that had multiple memories tied around. Carlos's. The place that I despised like a rotten pickle jar for being a cheap replica of Starbucks, but most importantly loved for being the place with the most lovable memories I had at.    But once I reached in, I was rather surprised to see a similar café standing with a different exterior building and a different name. CON'S The name already made me feel disgusted. Why would someone change something, so perfect? I rolled my eyes and went inside the café. Everything inside was changed, from the interiors to the design. It exhibited more of an international rather than local ambience. I stood straight up in the counter line, not even being sure what to buy. I looked around and saw a group of young kids sitting at one of the corners. It reminded me of our days back before everything went commando. But looking at those kids, I just wished and hoped they all stayed together. "What would you like to have?", The Barista asked once I reached the counter. "Umm... A simple latte." Before I could finish the barista rather cut me off. "Hey! You're the girl from the picture.", He smiled my way. "Boss would be really happy to see you. Could you leave a contact number, he usually said you would come.", He told me and I looked at him with astonishment. "Boss?", I asked him completely disoriented with the information, "And what picture?" "There!", He pointed at a wall behind me and I went ahead to look closely at a photo frame among multiples hanging down at the wall. I went ahead to look at the particular one and it was a picture of me, Lex, Connor and Felicity sitting at one of the benches at Carlos's and Connor was clicking the picture as Lex was making a goofy face with Fel hugging me tightly as I made a victory sign with a smile. There was some description written beneath the picture. It read; The owner Connor Mathews with his friends at the Predecessor of Con's -- Carlos's. Owner???? My shot up with excitement and I couldn't be more than happy to have been seeing him doing this good. I went back to the Barista who had by now called on the manager. "Can I get an address on your owner?", I asked him with excitement. ******************** Third Person P.OV: "Have you had the papers prepared?", Cole asked Lex who stood there watching a business take a drastic step as a father. But Lex himself was a rational man, more like an scrumptious one. He got what he needed and that was a handsome amount resting in his bank account. "I do. Here you go.", He went ahead and placed the papers down on the table. They both stood still inside Cole's office going through terms and conditions. "Mr. O'Neil... For the final time. Are you actually sure about doing this? The papers could be legal but your act is unethical and surely illegal. She could press forging charges against you.", Lex warned Cole for the last time. "She won't. She might've become a huge deal but she's still stupid. I'll still be her father and she'll never go against family. I know what I'm doing and I have everything in my hands.", Cole announced picking up the papers and finally dismissing Lex with the power he exhibited. He looked down at the papers and chuckled coldly, at his plans for trapping his own daughter. Who on the other hand was rushing inside a car smiling out ear to ear as she was about to meet her best friends that she left behind six years ago.
