Linus POV *Briiing briiiing* " Mmm," I said, rolling over, sleep still heavy in my voice. " Yes, is this Linus," a soft voice asked over the phone. "speaking," I replied gruffly. "Our necromancer Mr. Willian Day has some news. Would you like to come here for it, or shall I put him on the phone" Sam finished flatly? Looking over at Wisteria and still unable to thoroughly shake my suspicions, I let him know that I would come into the hospital before hanging up. Would my mate sleeping so peacefully be ashamed of me if she knew that I ever doubted her? If so, then I hope she'll understand that I was looking out for the safety of my pack. Gently getting up from the bed, I threw on jeans and a blue t-shirt from the small suitcases we had. I'm going to be back before she wakes up, but I'll leave her a note just in case. I quietly hurried out of our room after dropping the message on her side of the bed. With the hospital being so close, it shouldn't be a problem to return before she notices. In less than 5 minutes, I was in the waiting room, eager to hear any news. As I was mindlessly scrolling through my phone, the sound of rushing footsteps caused me to look up. My heart stopped as I locked eyes with a bronzed green-eyed beauty. Her perfect red curls bounced in time with her rushed steps. Thoughts of having to know her raced across my mind while my legs moved on their own. As I stood to chase her, a soft sweet smell froze me in place. My whole body relaxed as the scent of... What is that? I'm too flustered to know. Shaking the question away; taking another deep breath filled me with that scent making my whole body weightless. Rushing out of the room, there was no sign of her. "Ah,h there you are," I heard as a hand clasped my shoulder. Then, turning, I saw it was the same assistant from the other night. "It seems you're looking for the necromancer. I just came to inform you that he's just finishing with the memory cube and should only be a couple more minutes. Coughing to hide my embarrassment " Right, so I have time for coffee?" Not looking up from his keyboard, he said, "No," And as if he heard his assistant, I saw him around the corner. "I've just finished the last steps of prepping the memory cube." said the necromancer lightly. Then, removing his hood, I saw that he also had red curls like the statuesque creature that escaped me. "My name is Willian Day," volunteered the necromancer as he handed over a small square box. As I grabbed it from him, I noticed his skin was relatively smooth. Was my mystery woman's milk chocolate skin just as smooth? Aht Aht, concentrate; I shook my head again in an attempt to shake her from my thoughts before nodding. "Good to meet Mr. Day," I responded. A sad smile that didn't reach his brown eyes crossed his face. "I truly wish that I could have met you under better circumstances, Alpha," he stated while turning to leave and waving me on to follow him. My office is just around the corner. My heart started to race since she ran in this same direction. Would I bump into her here? But, of course, there was no such luck as we made it down the hall and into his stark grey walled office. There was nothing special about it except that I could smell remnants of her. The smell of red tulips invaded my whole being; the panic I felt at not finding her was replaced by a calmness I couldn't explain. A jolt sped up my body when I sat as I also remembered Wisteria's aroma. Her black dahlia would cover and envelope like a weighted blanket. It was so much different than this light aroma that threatened to lift me out of my seat. That's right, remember the smell of your mate, don't get swept away by passing pheromones. I have to figure out who I can ask about this. I've never heard of any wolf being so enticed by someone other than their mate. My heart sank as I realized how shitty I must be for having such thoughts. *Snap Snap* Suddenly, two fingers appeared before my eyes. "Are you even listening?" demanded Willian. He'd since moved from sitting behind the desk to leaning on it in front of me. How could I have been so lost in my own thoughts that I didn't even notice when he moved? Rubbing my head, I apologized to the man, explaining that so much had happened in the past week while assuring him he now had my full attention. I watched the annoyance on his face be replaced by a look of sympathy. "As I was saying, the witch who did this, your pack member, was a powerful one, well versed in memory magic. Every single memory in his head was tampered with. So many things were added, taken away, and changed, creating a maze that made it hard to even find the memory of the party." Willian paused to move around his desk and once again take his seat. A witch, huh. So there were outside forces at play. "I've done this for many years, so I was able to find the memory, but if we think of it in terms of paper, it's been shredded. Whoever that witch was scrambled themselves and their partner before ripping apart this memory." Clasping his hands, the necromancer waited, accessing my reaction; I gave a slight wave as a sign to continue. "Right now, there isn't much; all I could understand was the feeling of betrayal and the word spy before the spell that killed him hit. I'm waiting for a skilled memory mage to help put this back together. I would've done it myself, but I only ever observe memories and have no skill in putting the mind back together." "How long will the wait be?" I interrupted him. "First, we have to find her, then it's a matter of doing the task at hand. I don't have an exact time frame, but I can tell you that there's no need to stick around here. I'll call once she's here, and I can update that memory cube from a distance. So you can either have a vacation or go home. " hmm, I wonder if I should ask him about who was in here earlier. Would that be crossing the line? How would I come off? "Is there something on your mind, Alpha?" Willian inquired. "No. Thank you for working so hard to solve this case, Mr. Day. We wolves really owe you one." Shaking his hand as I got up to leave. I thought it best not to bring it up; with so much going on, it's best for those who can focus to focus. "I'm just glad I can be of help. The peace we enjoy here is thanks to you. We'll always do our best to keep it." He nodded at me. Stashing that square cube into my pocket, I walked out. Determined to shove that moment of weakness to the back of my mind, I left the hospital and went back to the hotel. Knowing I'd need a strong distraction, I called the driver and had him set up a few surprises for Wisteria. Observing her sleeping frame and inhaling, I filled my whole being with the scent of Wisteria. Her breathing was light as she slept and was so beautiful it was almost painful to wake her. She surprised me with her lips as I leaned in to kiss her cheek. How could I have ever been distracted when I have such a lovely mate. "Are you hungry?" I asked while nuzzling her neck. The scent of her lavender shampoo mixed with her natural scent was quite intoxicating. Giggles escaped as she answered me and said, "No, I like to work up an appetite first." Hopping off the bed, I answered her in turn and suggested we go for a run. She took my hand and left our hotel room; it was a mile walk to get to the woods behind it. "How beautiful and relaxing," Wisteria gasped. c*****g my head to the side and smiling, "The witches say that since the palms, trees, and tropical plants are thousands of years old, the air here restores anyone who breathes it. Should we run here and test it?" I asked, kissing the delicate hands holding mine. Sweeping her from her feet after a simple nod as my answer, I carried her until I found a suitable tree to place our clothes by. She told me that she could walk independently with her cheeks flushing red. Cute as her struggles were, I needed to be close to her now and refused. After undressing, I marked the tree with our clothes, just in case since I have only been here a few times. I could see Wisteria responding to my increased alpha pheromones out of the corner of my eye. Smiling to myself, I asked, "Will you want to race again today?" "I want to explore. So let's do that with some hide and seek," Wisteria responded, looking around. "I love how playful you can be. Let's do that till noon because I have a surprise for you," I let out before shifting. Seeing her Jet black wolf once again made my heart light. Yes, this bonding is exactly what I needed. Yipping, she ran off north first, and I gave her 5 minutes before following her beautiful aroma. Then, finding her rooting around in the local foliage, I put a paw on her tail before looking to the west. My mate would almost ruin my surprise by going immediately in its direction. The bright greens blended with the oranges and reds that peppered the lovely landscape as effortlessly bounded westward. The sound of water drew me slightly northwest. I stopped to sit by the stream that was carved into the landscape. I'm no time at all Wisteria found me. Her sizeable dark wolf lept into the stream, splashing me as she barked. I lept in after her bumping my head into her side and nipping lightly at her neck. Not ready to be finished with our game, she hopped out on the side she jumped in on and followed it south. My hairs stood on end, freezing me in the stream as the scent of tulips smacked me in the nose before Wisteria was even out of sight. Not seeming to take notice, she continued forward. But, of course, she wouldn't take note; she has no idea what I went through with this scent earlier this morning. I made every effort to move south, but my paws wouldn't allow it. "We're going north," responded Banon flatly. "We should concentrate on our mate, right?" I asked him. I got a simple yes in return. "ok, let's go east. " "ok, let's go north. " We said simultaneously. The will that I was clinging to broke in that instant. My paws jettisoned me to the north. It didn't take long to find the source of the sweet scent. In front of me, rooting around in a patch of blumex flowers, was a statuesque copper wolf. As she sat back, I could see a chocolate brown stripe from snout to tail down her center. Her large paws were also chocolate brown, with the left-back foot having one white toe. What a beautiful coat to accompany such a heavenly scent. Having stopped rummaging a bit ago, she met me halfway as I sauntered towards her. We circled, taking in each other's scent. Sitting tall, I saw her scratching at the dirt with her front paw, barking at it after a few moments. Moving closer, I could see the name Willow etched into the ground. Not one to be outdone, I scratched my own name beneath hers. Our shoulders bumped electrifyingly as she circled to get a better scent from me. Careful curiosity shifted to playfulness quickly after just a few moments. Her copper face bumped my side as she put her face low to the ground and butt in the air. I pounced on her, causing us to roll into a bush before she could even hop on me. My head snapped up from observing the pinned Willow underneath me at hearing the concerned yips of Wisteria. Getting caught up in a new game made me forget about the one I was already playing. Jumping out of the bush, I walked to Wisteria and nipped her tail. She turned, looking at me, eyes full of burning questions. Rustling from the brush we were just in caused us to turn towards it. Rushing towards it, Wysteria dived in, and instead of landing on a snarling wolf as expected, there was just a soft thud as she hit the ground. Wysteria's head popped out with an unmistakable look of confusion. Turning to her left, she attacked that brush and only succeeded at chasing away a copper butterfly with brown stripes on its wings. Its uniqueness caused us both to stop and watch its escape route. "We're you looking for something? It seems like you were just now." I pondered while looking at Wysteria's wolf. Surprised at my sudden but still confused, she joined me in her human form. "Hmm, well, of course, I was looking for you, but I thought...." Her voice trailed off as she looked back at the bush. "You know I'm not actually sure what I thought. But, mmm, well, anyway, it's not important. So what would you like to do now?" Wisteria asked playfully. "Remember that surprise I told you about earlier?" Wisteria nodded at me excitedly. "Let's shift back, and you follow me to the west." My thoughts ran wild as we shifted and took off running. Where could such a large wolf have disappeared to in a matter of mere minutes while our backs were turned? I'm grateful to not have had to figure out a way to explain whatever that was, but I have so many questions now. I was so lost in thought the waterfalls did not alert me, and I almost passed our destination. Stopping, I shifted back and waited for Wysteria's to add well. "Among the witches is said that the water from these falls has restorative and magical properties. So to bath in the Great Mother falls is to heal magical ailments or to find a new aspect of your magic." I explained. "Wow, how beautiful," she responded in awe. "Yes, you are," I muttered as I swept her up in my arms. My tongue searched her mouth desperately for forgiveness she didn't know I needed. Her warm, delicate palms cupped my cheeks, slowing down my frantic kiss. "No need to rush," she whispered on my lips. I slid my hands down her back until I felt her firm ass and hooked my hands underneath each cheek to lift her off the ground. She threw her hands over my neck, wrapping her legs around my waist as I whispered back, "Who's rushing? I just want to taste all of you." It only took a few steps for Wisteria to pull away from my desperate assault on her mouth and ask where we were going. I admitted that admiring the falls was only part of my surprise as I had her hang on tighter. It took just a few short minutes for me to carry her slender frame up and behind the falls. She let out a small gasp at the basket full of food laid out over a blanket with just a few lanterns to light the way. "So we're gonna" My lips crashed against hers before she could finish the sentence. "Later," I mumbled into her mouth. I needed to fill my heart with her and push out that mysterious woman. My hands ran the length of her, cupping her beautiful breasts on the way up. I filled my eyes and heart with her dark hair and coy smile before flicking my tongue over my soft pink n*****s. Whoever that woman was, she could never compare to my mate. Wisterias' gentle moans eased the ache in my heart. Concentration is key! How could I possibly be letting my mind wander about anyone else when these beautiful hips are bucking against me, begging for more. Goosebumps were forming on her porcelain skin as I nipped my way down her stomach. Just a quick taste of her warmth which is so sweet. Tasting dahlias and cinnamon, I moaned into her, wondering how Willow might taste. Guilt and pleasure rocked me as I tried to give Wisteria my everything. Slowly traveling back up her body, still standing, my tongue invaded her mouth, searching for a way to clear my heart and mind. I felt her hands lock onto my hair as Wisteria attempted to fuse our bodies together. Lifting her by her waist, the tightness that enveloped my member caused all thoughts to rush out. There was only right here, now, and Wisteria. In this damp cave with the falls as our soundtrack, our bodies moved together in a most pleasurable dance. Grazing over her collar bone, I bite deeply into her neck; she must be entirely mine. My beautiful mark on her exquisite frame for all the world to see. Our connection is the only thing I need. As our dance was about to reach its climax, I laid her down in the blanket. Her lust enveloped me, pulling me so tender and warm. Gripping her hips and pulling her up, a growl escaped causing her to moan and grind against me. Her back on the blanket with raised hips and her legs wrapped behind me was the perfect angle to allow me access to the deepest depths of her. We moaned in unison as our pleasure reached its furthest peak. Wiping the sweat from her gorgeous face, I bumped my nose into hers. "You're now fully mine," I informed her through our new mind link. The smile that reached her beautiful blue eyes made a wave of guilt rocket through my body.
