One more bad luck or no more bad luck?

Ella was in the living room waiting for jack patiently. After receiving the harsh treatment from the neighbours and stumbling on an empty house, she was at the apex of fatigue, wishing she hadn't stepped out today. The vendor made sure to disgrace her publicly like some bad customers who refuses to pay debts. Ella saw a guy approaching the house from the slight view of the window glider, although it was all blurry perhaps due to the distance he was. Ella has a sharp vision which makes her see the tiniest thing ever as well as far distance objects. Sauntering wearily and worn out. Isn't that jack? she sharpens her gaze to look closely, as he appears nearer. " Hey, Jack!" She ran out to him, hiding the sentiments on her face as she noticed Jack's expression. Why are you wearing the symbol of anguish on your face? How did it go? I mean you went to apply for a job how was it what did they say? Ella was in a panic. She assisted him in carrying his bag and suit, taking it off his shoulders while supporting him with her other hand, he was looking like he was beaten up or something. " Hey Jack talk to me!" she was getting out of patient and doesn't want to keep assuming. Won't you spill them out of your lips? Jack was still mute, pondering if he should tell her what the real issue is, and how she would react to it, no need for the answer she would surely be heartbroken too. Because she needs to go back to school. His face was thrown to the other side not trying to exchange contact with her for now, Ella might connote the expression on his face, she was quite a clever girl. "Nothing, I'm just stressed out stop worrying yourself for nothing" he hissed. " Did you see Anna?" Trying to wave the questions off, he asked. " hmm no, I didn't see her and not even anyone around to ask." " You didn't see her?" He widened his eyes, should he be on pins and needles about this now? After all the burden on him. " He walked into the aisle heading to his room, shutting the door behind him, letting out some grief so low and moaning in pain." As he moved slowly to the ground laying against the wall. Ella was startled at the sudden action he made, perhaps he thought she wouldn't notice. Moving closer to the door of his small room decorated with some footpath closer to the shallow brown couch. She could hear some sobs enough to draw attention. " Jack..." She knocked at the door silently, her ears getting more sensitive as she placed them on the door. He wasn't responding, continued sobbing, lost in his pain. " Hey, Jack! Open the door, what's wrong?" " Can you hear me? I said open the damn door!" her voice went croaky suddenly there was an outburst. It was Ella she began to cry. " Open the door!" Ella cried out loud, drawing the attention of the one who started the cry. He immediately unlocks the door, and of course, after wiping the tears from his face. Coming out of the room " Hey Ella what's wrong? " he appeared normal, difficult to discover he was crying a few minutes ago. " You!" She snapped proceeding with the sobbing like it was a competition. " You ain't the only one in pain! Do you think am happy with the way we are!? Do you think I enjoyed being harassed by the vendors??!" her face turned reddish, feeling stings in her heart." Jack stumbled when he heard her pain, what's more, painful it was obvious in her voice, that is appalling. " I understand what you've been going through lately, but you know what pains me more?" " You hide your tears from me! I feel stabbed in my chest, do not hide anything from me dear brother" You still have a family in this world, and that's me, stopping acting like you are all alone, share your pains with me. Ella and Jack lost their parents in a car accident when coming from an event in the mid of the day. Flashback: " No!! Dad! Mom!" he jerked up from his bed, panting and sweating profusely. Presha took to her heels, after hearing a scream from the children's room. Reaching to his bed he grabbed his hand and made him rest on her soothing laps. " Another nightmare again?" caressed his back as she calmed him down. " Mom this isn't just a nightmare, it feels real mom!" he panicked. " It is darling, now share it with me so that you would forget about it, I don't want you thinking of it. It's just a nightmare and it's normal for kids even adults do have nightmares " putting effort to get the dream off his head. " No, it's not" he sobs. Making her look confused. " Okay son spill it out" she urged him. " Mo....m...mom" his lips shaking, fighting to spill out the words. She furrowed her brows " Come on share it with me" " I had a dream, you and dad died" he finally let out sobbing continually, his shirt soaked up in sweat and eyes ruddling. Presha chuckled, come on baby that's not gonna happen. I and your father will always be with you guys every step of the way, we will watch you and your sister grow, hence nothing is ever going to happen to us. She patted him some more until he ultimately calmed down. " That's good baby, so go take your bath and prepare for school, you would see your breakfast on the table" " Okay, mom!" He held her fingertips she was about to leave the room, are you and dad still going to the party? Seeing fears in his eyes she took up his hands and rubbed them " Baby nothing is gonna happen to us" she reassured as she made her way out. Jack and his little sister took their breakfast and went to school. Coming back in the evening, he was struck with the bad news. His parents had a fatal accident on their way home, hit by a trailer. Present. " I'm sorry Ella" he cupped her face, "I didn't know this is how you feel" I promise to turn a new leave. Making haste to drop the topic and talk about what the vendor did to her. " Why didn't you tell me about the harassment you got from the vendor?" Now his facial expression changed. " I'm sorry I don't want you to get worried, I shouldn't have spilt out" she apologise. " What do you mean by you shouldn't have spilt out! Didn't we just talk about keeping things from each other?" he blurted, insidiously losing his temper. " Okay, I'm sorry bro, I didn't mean to" lowered her head. " That's fine, I don't just want you to get involved leave everything to me I will handle it" he spoke softly. " Okay bro" Jack went back to his room as he placed a call across an old-time friend, who owns a club a few distances away " Hey man," he stated, after a one time ring. " Yo man!" he responded lively and soft. " I need a favour man, I'm coming to see you tomorrow," he said hanging up the phone. Is he going to have another bad luck again or he was lucky this time?
