Unknown King

Geneva's eyes scanned the place, she wanted to know where she was. She was trapped in four walls!! And this stranger is the only person here? Her wide eyes watched the stranger smiling at her. Geneva then glanced towards a door. The front door of the big mansion. She ran towards it. As soon as she reached the tall, strong wooden door with metal bolts, and a big lock made up of black metal, she held the two circular knobs of the door, and shook it with all her strength. The door was locked from the inside. Geneva felt the big black metal lock laugh at her. She felt weak and fragile in front of the door and the large lock which might weigh more than a giant. Geneva groaned and wanted to hit the lock. But a loud growl boomed in the quiet grey mansion, and that twisted Geneva's stomach with fear. She couldn't move a finger. She could only feel the burning stare of whatever beast that was standing behind her. She could only feel the hair on her hands stand. She could only feel his authority, power, and his energy vibrating with danger. Did the strange guy bring her to the lion's den? Is this her end? Geneva shut her eyes tightly, as if that could help her escape from the stupidest thing she thinks she had ever done. Listening to a stranger. Or was she THIS stupid in reality? Maybe he is going to give her to this hungry lion, and be done with her once and for all. But... She had to face the beast. She had to. She would die anyway. She would rather choose to die with honour. Geneva opened her eyes slowly, and turned to face the lion. But when she turned, she didn't see a lion. Instead of a lion, a large blue wolf with obsidian black eyes was looking right at her. She couldn't even gasp. The stranger who had introduced himself as Devon Westbrook, before, walked to Geneva, and slinged an arm over her shoulders. The large wolf with dark blue fur didn't break their stare. "Hah.. You're already mesmerized by her beauty. " Devon teased the blue wolf. " Who is she? " The blue wolf asked. And Geneva fell on the ground; unconscious. The next time, Geneva Rivers opened her eyes, she was lying flat on her back on a soft bed, surrounded by large white pillows. Her eyes flitted to her dress, and it wasn't torn or stained. In fact, the dress was not at all what she was wearing when she woke up in the forest. A white dress with floral prints all over it was covering her body elegantly instead of her cheetah printed dress that she was wearing before she fell unconscious. Oh. Oh!! She fell unconscious after seeing the blue wolf speak. Oh no!!! Her eyes roamed around the room and she spotted just the person.... No. Just the wolf she was scared of. She screamed at the top of her lungs. But before she could go back into the darkness and peace, the wolf spoke again. And he didn't stop until he finished. " Please don't faint on me. I am not here to cause you harm. I know that it has been quite a day for you, and you're having trouble digesting all this stuff. I mean I am a talking wolf after all. I understand. But I won't cause you any harm, I swear. Though I can't touch you with my paw. Sorry... Why did I say that?? Ummm. Yeah. The main point is... I am the King of the Crest werewolf clan. My name is Shaye Crest. And I am at your service, Miss. Rivers. My friend here told me that you don't have your memories. So, I want to help you. And you cannot find anyone as worthy and fast as me, who can help you with this matter of yours. I can find your family. " The blue wolf kept blabbering, and stepping closer to Geneva, whose mind was stuck in one sentence. ' I can find your family. ' " Can you please repeat what you said? " She asked. " Excuse me?" The giant blue wolf's brows raised high and Devon snickered at his back. Geneva made the giant blue wolf tell his story fifteen times. And the only thing she was happy about was that the wolf in front of her, who claimed that he was the King, could find her family for her. Yes. She needs that. She needs her family. So, this time, Geneva rolled her shoulders back, put up a brave face, and didn't shrink away from the giant blue wolf, who was standing very very close to the bed. She sat straight and asked, " How can you find my family? " Her voice lulled the giant blue wolf again, and he slightly swayed in his two furry paws. Her voice was so enchanting that he repeated what he said before, fourteen more times, just because SHE was the one who asked. Someone in the room cleared his throat. When Geneva looked, she saw Devon grinning at the blue wolf, who glared at him instead. When the blue wolf was satisfied, glaring at Devon, he turned his face towards Geneva again. " Yes. I can. I am the King here. I can do anything. " The blue wolf stood tall, and his chest puffed a little bit. Geneva nodded her head. " Okay. I want you to do that. " She said. " Please, " She added. The giant blue wolf gave a slight nod, and ordered Devon. " Would you please tell them to make millions of pamphlets, which will only hold her name, and her description. Don't put her photo, else it might pull others' attention that we don't want. " The giant wolf said. Devon saluted him, and was going to leave the room. " Wait! " Geneva shouted, and both the males turned to her. " Devon is staying here. You can go. You're the King, right? Shouldn't you do something instead of just ordering everyone around? " Geneva asked. Devon choked a laugh, and all the snarky comments that he was going to throw at the giant wolf, who frowned at Geneva. " I don't just order around. I cannot go outside. So, I sit in my mansion, and do all the stuff from here. " The giant wolf said, a little bit hurt flashed on his face. " Why can't you go outside? " Geneva asked, as her brows furrowed. The pain on the wolf's face disappeared, and his face had a whole lot of different expression. Anger. " It's none of your business." The wolf's voice was calm and held no anger. But Geneva could see through his facade of calmness. She was quiet, though. " I am leaving, then. The servants will come with food, water, and all the other necessary things that a girl needs. " The wolf said, and turned. " Wait! " Geneva shouted again. The wolf heaved a sigh, and Devon rolled his eyes. " What? " The wolf asked, not turning to Geneva. " Who changed my clothes? " She asked. " A maid. " The giant wolf answered, and left Devon and Geneva alone. Geneva couldn't believe that she spoke with the wolf with no fear on her face when all her heart was doing is race. " Werewolves can hear everything you know. Your fast heartbeat included. " Devon said, and pushed off of the wall, on which he was leaning the whole time. " What? " Geneva's heart started pounding against her chest again. Did they get to know that she is afraid of them? That she can run over the hills or jump over a cliff rather than stay in the same room with the two of them. Devon walked to her, a smirk plastered on his face. When he was close to the bed, she was sitting on it, he put his fists on either side of her on the bed, and supporting on them, he leaned. " I mean that we know that you are a scaredy little cat beneath your whole fake lioness face. " Devon whispered near Geneva's face. Geneva stopped her hands from shaking, and her lips from trembling. She willed her heart to calm down, so she could show the devil boy in front of her that she is not someone to bully or play with. " Listen, Mister. Devon Westbrook, I won't tell you to not call me a scaredy little cat. Because I AM scared. But I have the right to be afraid of both of you. You two are wolves! But I know that if I show you two that I'm weak, I will lose. And I choose to rather die with honour. " Geneva said in a posh accent she didn't know when she had acquired, as she doesn't have her memories, and lifted her chin. She looked down on Devon even though he was taller than her, and currently he was standing, and she was sitting on the bed. Devon gave a devilish smirk again, which boiled Geneva's blood like lava, and he said, " I like you. " Then he left the room without saying another word. Geneva blinked. Did she win the argument? That's why he left? She sighed, as if she was already tired. The small talks had drained her energy that she acquired from her nap. Geneva let a yawn, and slowly her eyelids drooped again. And this time, no one was there to interrupt her. No one was there to block her way to peace and darkness. So, she let the dark swallow her whole, and she bathed in the little peace that she had, before it was pulled away from her again.
