" Please. Help her. She has been writhing in pain like this. We've gone to every pack doctor. No one knows why this is happening. Please help us." A woman in a black cotton dress cried out before another woman, who seemed to be aged around forty. The woman was seated on a metal chair, which scraped as the woman stood up. She was holding a wooden stick with a curved handle. "Lay her on the table." She commanded the woman in black. The woman in black looked back at the man who was with her. When the man nodded, the woman in black hurriedly laid the little girl she was holding on the table. The girl groaned in pain. Her howls could be heard from miles away. It alerted all the wild animals which were waiting for their food for the night. The woman inspected the child with her scrutinizing gaze. She tsked after she was done. The woman in black shivered in worry. This time, the man spoke up first. " What is it?" He asked, combing his sweat and raindrops-covered hair away from his eyes so he could see the woman's reaction clearly, who was holding the fate of the little girl in her hand. " Her wolf is trying to get out." The woman answered. "What?" Both of them asked. The woman who was inspecting the girl nodded her head. " How can it be? She is barely six!" The man shouted. "What can we do about it? There surely is a way. Isn't there?" The woman in the back asked. " There is. There is always a way." "Well, what is it?" The man shouted in her face. The woman's gaze snapped from the girl's body to the man's face. She stared at the man with rage. "How dare you shout at me? I am Lasvias, the witch who brought death over an entire pack as per your Alpha's request. And you dare shout at my face?" The woman screamed at the man. The woman in black wiped the tears from her face, and joined her hands to beg." Please. Forgive him. Forgive us. She is our only daughter. Please. Save her. I request you. Save her." The woman in black, the mother of the child, cried out. The witch raised her chin, and said, "Fine. I will. But there is one price that the girl has to pay. Which is more than you can imagine. Are you ready? Is she ready to pay the price?" "Yes. We just want our daughter back. We want her to be alive." The mother replied as the man just stood silently, afraid that he might anger the witch again. The witch didn't forget his rude behavior. She stared at him and said to the mother, " But first, your husband has to apologize." The man knelt before the witch and apologized. Only then did the witch say, " Fine. Now, please step out of the room. I need to be alone with the girl to help her, as I would need more energy, which you two cannot withstand." The father and the mother nodded, and rushed out of the room, not before they took a quick look at her daughter, still crying and screaming in pain, her bones breaking thousands of times, and assembling again. The last words that they heard were from the witch, who said, "There, there. I will take all your pain away, child."
