Chapter 2

601 Words
Caleb's POV I got out of the passenger's side of the car, took my bag from my best friend, Leon, who had also just got out of the back car. "Well, home sweet home," he said, "It feels like an eternity. Five years man!" he exclaimed. I touched his shoulder and said, "well, it was worth it," I said, and a smile broke on my face when I saw the people who emerged from the front door of the packhouse. I strode towards the woman. "Mom, I'm home!" I sniffed and hugged her. I miss the woman who gave birth to me. My mother, Cathy, released me from her tight embrace and coped my face to look at me, "I've missed you too, son," she said and kissed both my cheeks. "Welcome back, son," said the voice of the man that I have a high respect for. I turned to him and let myself be enveloped in his strong arms, my father, Alpha Troy of the Moonbridge Pack. I smiled, "I'm home, father." He releases me and looks me in the eyes. "You've grown and changed so much. I do hope it's for the better," he commented. "Well..." I scratched my chin. "Oh, son, don't tell me you still play with girls' hearts," my mom said. "That, he does," my best friend Leon approached us. " Well, until three months ago," he said, and looked at me. I smiled at what he said and I knew what he was talking about. Three months ago, I met this girl. She's the one who wrapped up my wayward life. "Oh, what happened three months ago?" My mom asked curiously. My father interrupted before I could answer, "Let's continue this inside. Both of you must be tired from your trip, not to mention we will be having a party tonight for your homecoming." Leon took both of our bags and walked to the front door of the packhouse. My father went next, while my mother clung her hand to my arm. "You need to tell me all about that girl, son," she smiled. I smiled at her, "Yes, mom. Where are the others?" I asked, referring to my younger siblings. "Oh, they're hiding," she whispered to me, "And I am not supposed to tell you that," she smiled. I laughed and couldn't wait to see them. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ringggggg. It was the last bell for today, and it is the end of school. Quincy and Emily are walking towards the parking area. "So, Quincy, do you think the guys have found their mate back from their training?" Emily didn't stop her curiosity about the two soon-to-be leaders of our pack. Quincy shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know, but knowing men, I'm sure even if they don't find their mate, they still have women swarming around them. I'm sure they aren't lost in women to bring to their bed." Emily laughed, "you're right. Those alpha and beta have a very long list of w****s. I'm sure." We'd reached the park where everyone was already waiting for us. "So, when is the gathering start?" Wayne asked any of us. "Father said the alpha and luna would be throwing a dinner at the packhouse, and later the party would start," It was Alicia who answered their friend's question. Heather stood next to me, "well, Quincy and I have a part-time job. We will see you all at the party then," She then fixed her bag on her shoulder. Garret approached Heather and pulled her into his chest, "I will come after your shift," and kissed her lips. ==================================================================================
