"Surprise number one." Reme bit her lip to stop a smile when she saw Kason in her calculus class. He motioned her to sit in the seat next to him and she gingerly did. The bell rang signaling that everyone was supposed to be in class and the teacher spoke up. "Get your homework from Friday out and switch it with someone next to you." When everyone did he starting going over the questions. "Grade my paper?" Kason asked holding it out to her. "What will you grade?" "You." Her eyebrows went up and he chuckled. "I'll grade you on how well you know the answers." "Oh." She muttered getting a pencil out. For the beginning of class it only consisted of the teacher and occasional student saying the answer before the papers were passed up and new ones were passed back. "Work on this and we'll go over it in about 20 minutes." The teacher set an alarm and sat down to put the homework grades in. Reme finished the paper quickly already knowing this from her previous school. She looked over at Kason for him to see he was already staring at her. He licked his lips before speaking. "You're pretty smart." She pulled a face. "Hardly. I learned this before I moved. It's only drilled in my head because my dad forced me to get a tutor." He chuckled and looked back down at his paper. "I've never been a fan of math either." "Want some help?" "Would you mind?" "This is the only time where I can actually give it." He bit his lip and turned to her. "Thanks." Reme nodded and scooted forward to see his paper. He already have four of them ten done neatly. "You seem to know what you're doing." "A little help could never hurt." "Um, you have to factor the x." "Mhmm." He did as she said and looked at her for the next step. "Move it to the left." "You sure?" "Yes?" He did it and waited for her next instructions. "Uh, isolate the x." He did and she told him the problem was done. Kason looked at her amused as she held the pencil tip to her lips. "You sure that's it?" "Yeah?" He shrugged and let her help him with five more problems before the teacher called for them to pass it up. Kason looked forward with a secret smile and Reme was itching to ask him. "What?" His lips curled up even more. "I don't think that tutor helped much." She scratched her cheek embarrassed. "I didn't think I was doing it right..." "Need a new one?" "I thought you weren't a big fan of math?" Kason shrugged. "I lied." She gave him a look. "Why?" "Got you to talk to me, didn't it?" Reme rolled her eyes when he looked back at her. "You and your brother are so alike." He only laughed. "Since you seem to know us so well tell me something about you." "Um, what do you want to know?" "Anything. What's your favorite color?" "Really? My favorite color." He nodded. "Yellow." "Do you have any pets?" "No." "Do you live with both your parents?" "Yes." "How old are you?" "18." "Do you like sports?" "Yes." "Are you going to try out for one?" "No." "Why not?" "Not enough time." "What're you doing now?" "Sleeping." Question after question he fired off quickly and she answered them just as fast until he asked, "Have you found your mate?" "...I don't believe in mates." Kason leaned forward intrigued. "And why not?" "Nobody should be made for you, there's no challenge in it." He licked his lips again and Reme couldn't help but laugh. It had to be the third time he's done it. "Is something funny Reme?" "You look like the perfect f**k boy." He chuckled and ruffled his hair. "I do try." "Really?" He shook his head. "Nah, my lips are chapped." "Need some chap stick?" "Yeah." "Okay." She continued to stare at him and he raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to give me any?" "I don't have any." He chuckled and leaned back in his chair. "Why'd you offer then?" "I didn't offer, I was merely asking." "Mhmm." She looked over his body before meeting his blue eyes. "You seriously look like one." "I'm gonna take it as a compliment." She shrugged. "Do you have tattoos too?" He shook his head and pointed to his lip and nose. "Just piercings." "Does Kade have any?" "Does someone have a crush on Kade?" He questioned with a cocky look on his face. Her facial expression made him laugh. "No." "Sure sure, and no he doesn't." "Your parents let you have them?" "My mom doesn't mind." "Your dad?" "Died a couple years ago." She frowned. "I'm sorry." He shrugged and ruffled his hair. "Not your fault." When he did her eyes went to his ear. "You piercings in your ears too?" "Mhmm." "Can I see them?" He nodded and she scooted her chair closer. Kason rolled his eyes at the distance and pulled her chair much closer till her knees were touching his legs. "Did they hurt?" "Do you not have piercings?" Reme lifted her shirt a little showing him the belly button piercing. "Not ears though." "Usually all girls do." "My mom doesn't let me do anything to my body." She sighed. "How'd you get that one?" Reme bit her lip. "She doesn't know." "Call the FEDS guys, we've got a rebel on our hands!" Reme felt her skin flush as she pushed his shoulder. "Stoppp." He laughed in return. "Mr. Cohen I'm already telling your mother about your paper would you like me to tell her about your behavior too?" Kason rolled his eyes. "She won't do anything." It was obvious to Reme that this teacher was not a werewolf. "We'll see." Kason dismissed him and turned back Reme. "Where do you live?" "Um- why?" "I'm not gonna stalk you or something, I just need to know if you're in pack territories or not." "It's like six miles away from here." He nodded. "That should be." "Why?" "We can't really do something to help if rogues decide to attack if you're not in pack territories." "Oh. Do you try?" "Of course, we usually don't get notified till it's too late though." "Do you get a lot of rogue attacks?" "They're more located here than anywhere else." He didn't directly answer her question. She was going to say something when the bell cut her off. Kason stood up and grabbed their bags. "You don't have to do that." She rushed out trying to grab it. He held it away and motioned for her to walk. "Let's go." "Where?" "We have gym together." "Oh yeah." When they got to the gym Lindsey, Taylor, Jamie, and Kade were already sitting on the bleachers. Lindsey instantly got up and walked over to Reme. "Thank god you're here." "Why?" "We're running the mile and I can hopefully get out by showing you the locker room." Reme looked up and cringed seeing what looked like the coach behind Lindsey. "Locker room girls." The cheerful girl too cringed and turned around. "Do we seriously have to run the mile?" "Stop complaining. The human girls have a harder time." She frowned and walked back over to her mate. Reme followed her and Kason handed her, her bag. "Ask Lindsey for a pair of clothes if you don't get yours today. I doubt she's going to let you get out of it and Lindsey seems to always being wearing a new outfit each class." Kade said tying his shoe. The taller girls eyes lit up. "Yes! Come on Reme." She dragged her into the locker room before she could even get a word out. Lindsey held many different sport outfits up against Reme's body and she was surprised how she fit that all in her locker and why she had that many. "Oo this ones perfect!" Reme raised her eyebrows at the tight red booty shorts and tight white T-shirt. "Um.." "Don't worry, it'll look better when you put it on. Plus I think it's the only thing I have that will fit you. You're so tiny." "Um.." Lindsey gave her a subtle push to the bathroom. "Change." When Reme came back out Lindsey was already changed and smiled at her. "I told you it was perfect!" The shorter girl wrapped her arms around in self consciously. "Are you sure you don't have anything else?" She was going to say something but the coach blew her whistle. "Don't worry, you look good." The two of them walked out of the locker room with the other girls and went to sit on the bleachers with the boys. Taylor whistled lowly at Reme. "Finally, Lindsey's good for something." Jamie pushed Taylor off the bleachers but he didn't seem to care as his eyes were glued to the fidgety girl. "Leave her alone man." Kade demanded.
