Guilty

Kyle was playing video games with Greg in the sitting room and concentrating was difficult, it was hard to even hit the buttons on the pad, and he felt numb.

Amanda was on his mind and he felt horrible. His mouth was bitter and he felt a lump in his throat. Everything felt dull and out of frustration, he threw the pad on the table.

Greg stared at Kyle with shock and he pulled his jacket, tossing it on the floor. His body was aching for some unknown reason.

“What’s wrong man?” Greg demanded and he shook his head, feeling restless, he stood up and walked to his room.

Kyle entered and slammed the door shut, lying on the bed. “Kay, was I too harsh?” He demanded and Kay stirred.

“Yes, you rubbed it in her face that she had no wolf. You should see how devastated she was” Kay spat and He sighed.

Kyle had been feeling guilty ever since she left and all he could picture was her sad and disappointed face. All he said was the truth but he shouldn’t have broken it that way.

“I had to break it that way so she would abort the baby. Her father would kill me if he found out. I’m not on good terms with her brothers, I’m dead if they find out” Kyle replied and Kay growled.

“You’re an alpha. You shouldn’t be afraid of anyone. Why are you feeling guilty? She wanted it and you gave it to her, you used love as your strategy to get her” Kay scolded arrogantly and Kyle sighed.

Kay knew Kyle was filled with remorse and guilt but he was still acting all mighty and arrogant.

“I’m not the alpha yet, Kay. I just feel like what I did was absurd. I should have sat her down and talked things gently, I’m sure she would have listened to me” Kyle muttered weakly.

“Why do you feel guilty? You didn’t do something that has never been done. It’s just denying her pregnancy and asking her to do the only right thing” Kay retorted without shame and Kyle sighed.

Kay just wasn’t getting it. Kyle couldn’t deny that he was getting attached to her. It all started playfully but he knew it was slowly turning real hence he had to cut her off harshly.

“No lady deserved to be talked to that way. Her only mistake was falling for a rascal like me. I think I should apologize. I can’t live with myself if I don’t beg for her forgiveness. Guilt would kill me. I never wanted things to be this way. I wanted to end things but I just couldn’t bring myself to break it to her, she was fragile.

“There’s no need to feel guilty. She should have seen it coming, after all, you're an alpha” Kay replied and Kyle sighed.

“I just feel so terrible. What if there's a possibility that we’re mates?” Kyle snapped and Kay growled, possessiveness overwhelming him. The thought of them being mates was absurd but not entirely impossible.

“If she turns out to be mate then I would kill you myself for treating her badly” Kay threatened and Kyle cursed out loud.

“I can’t do this anymore, I’ve got to see Amanda” Kyke muttered as he rose and rushed down where he took his jacket and rushed out, ignoring Greg’s gaze. He headed straight to the pack house, it was a very short distance as he ran and jogged and arrived, panting weakly. He entered, ignoring the guards as he headed straight to Theodore’s office; he was willing to take responsibility for the pregnancy even though he couldn’t accept it.

He wanted to confess and set things right with Amanda. He knew everyone would be disappointed but he had to clean up his mess. He couldn’t let her suffer for his mistake.

He entered nervously. Kay was warning and protesting for him not to get involved but he was determined. “Alpha Theodore, I’d like to discuss something with you” Kyle muttered immediately as he entered.

To his shock, Alexander was pacing around while Theodore was seated with a long and angry face, Kyle was stunned as his heart began racing as he wondered whether Amanda had disclosed everything.

‘I” 'm sorry and I can explain… I admit that I’m wrong…’ Kyle was shaking and sweating already. Although he was older than Alexander by two years, he was terrified of him. Alexander could be very dangerous when pissed and now that Amanda was involved only the moon goddess could determine whether he would be alive.

“What are you talking about?” Alexander demanded with an angry face and Kyle sighed.

“I… We…” Kyle was interrupted when Aaron rushed inside, panting.

“I’ve talked to the guards and they only saw her leaving. I couldn’t get much information from them but it doesn’t seem like she’s in this pack. Did something bad happen to her? I’m trying to mindlink her but she cut us off completely… I’m scared, did something terrible happen to her?” Aaron’s face had gone pale as he thought about his sister who had suddenly disappeared without any trace.

“Where's Adam? Did he find anything? If she walked out with her legs then I don't think she was kidnapped. There's more to this than we know” Alexander muttered while I just stood there with my body shaking visibly.

“I think so too, I saw her today and she looked out of it today. She didn’t look too well and

her heart was drumming loudly in my ears. I could have talked about it but she looked pale and down. I could remember something slipping from her hand which she picked up immediately. I found her behaviour suspicious but I couldn't talk about anything” Aaron disclosed and Theodore nodded.

“Yes, she came to the garden and hugged your mother and me. She was crying but we didn't think much of it because she said they were tears of joy. She kept hugging us and when we tried to ask, she assured us that things were fine. What could possibly be wrong with Amanda and where could she be at? Ask all the guards to not stop until they find her” Theodore ordered Finn over the phone and slammed it on the table.

He was very worried and he couldn't break the news to Flora, he was afraid she wouldn't be able to remain calm. Kyle was about to wet himself on the spot, he knew well now that Amanda had run away from the house. He wanted to speak but his courage failed him.

Her departure made the whole pack look small, boring and terrible. He staggered back, clenching his heart as he felt his bones shake uncontrollably. Aaron was quick to run over to hold him. He felt the room spinning and keeping his head straight was almost impossible.

“What are you doing here?” Alexander demanded, nodding at Kyle whose throat suddenly dried and air vanished for a moment. He pulled his jacket, revealing a round neck. Hid was sweating profusely and trying to think of the best way to break the news. Kay was trying to encourage and motivate him but nothing seemed to be working, his brain was dead.

Adam burst inside with fury, he looked like he was ready to crush a bull, he glanced around and his dark grey eyes rested on Kyle, he scowled and walked towards Kyle who was still with Aaron.

He was furious. Immediately he reached Kyle he swung his arm with a lot of strength and punched him, throwing him to the ground with a lot of force. “Man, what's wrong?” Alexander demanded, holding back Adam who was ready to beat up Kyle.

“Tell me it's all a damned lie… Tell me what's circulating around is rumours about another person, not my sister… YOU BASTARD!” Adam demanded, trying to break free from Alexander.
