Chapter four

The sight of the beach was quite fascinating to everyone most especially, the Royal love birds. This was a dream come true for the princess. she always dreamt from childhood of being married at a certain time in her future life, then would see herself on a very beautiful waterside having fun in a wedding gown. Now before her very eyes was that dream physically unfolded. Here was she standing many years after that dream with her husband by her side; at the beach of the famous Island of Melanne. Her joy knew no bounds. While the Princess was still pensive iand quiet, the same thoughts were running through the mind of Prince Marcus, her newly wedded husband. Marcus as a growing child had his upbringing in a palace, being a royal son of his parents. He was the only surviving son of his father King Duell According to the history records as told the young boy, death had earlier snatched about one of his elder ones just after their birth. The next child his mother the Queen conceived died as a result of miscarriage. His mother : Queen Ann Duell,had a medical record of series of abortions. The coming of Prince Marcus was what put an end to all that; as two other children were born successfully after him The first was a girl Rita; by name. The last child being the youngest and still an adolescent was Jimmy. The entire Duell family lived together but somehow, they all had their different personalities, aims, life goal and targets which they pursued. Their father King Duell never interfered with the personal Lives of his dear family members and siblings. As a disciplined man of integrity, he always would advise his people and subjects on what he felt was the best course and line of action in each and every pressing issues and condition. All these were the thoughts passing through marcus 's mind as he stood beside his newly wedded wife on the beach. Seeing how deep in thought her man had gone, princess Tina jerked him up to the reality of the moment and where he was standing. By her sudden burst of words. " Honey!" She shouted, " are you not swimming?" the water seem cool for that" " Well I am just taken a back by the sight of this large expanse of sea water sweet heart", was his quick reply to her. Contented now that she had her husband's attention back the princess put on a more bright and cheerful face. The mood swings she experiences were something else that sometimes, it even confuses her. One proof she is happy,excited and talking all over the place. You would think she had no care or anything to worry about in the world. At a mother time, just the opposite would be the case. She would become moody sulky and begins to feel very irritated at noting or no one . Neither,anything specific. At such a time, one close to her would wonder why the mood swings. Since there would be no visible thing to lay hold on as her provocations factor. The good thing however, is that her own husband: Prince Marcus perfectly understands her and her terrible mood swings. No just that he does understood her, but he has also made up his mind to hear with her on it. And also to asist her overcome the bad mood. This was one of those things that greatly endeared him to his wife's heart. She found out that no other man could be so accommodating of her excesses like this wonderful man God had given to marry her as a wife. She knew this this fact, appreciated it and would always confess it before him. To this the Prince would always reply: " Do not mention dear, your happiness is my joy" The sound of the water waves came rushing into their ears as the packed out their belonging to undress and put on their beach wear and swim suits. Now fully dressed up, it was obvious today would be one day full of all sorts of fun for the Royal Prince and princess on Honeymoon. The die was cast and the whistle had gone, to signal the beginning of events at the beach. Although, this was no really a physical whistle that was blown, nevertheless,it appeared so. While because all of a sudden after dressing up in their beach outfits and swim trunks, the couple both took off spontaneously running towards the direction of the water. Although it was the shallow end of it. There were careful and wise enough not to go towards the deep water areas. The water was a bit calm today.Which was quite unusual. It use to be very boisterous at this particular times of xz, Ningbo the year. However, it was like mother luck had shone her brighter face on the weather for the moment. Even the strong waves normally experienced was blowing just mildly. The couple dived into the water, Facing the prince, Tina scooped water into her hands and splashed into his face, laughing out loud at the same time. The prince rushed towards her direction. He grabbed her to himself, with his left hand around her back, he grabbed her feet and lifted her up above the surface of the blue sea. Suddenly he dropped her down into the shallow water. Regaining her self, the princess a good swimmer before now, made a swift turn in the water. She stayed submerged and began to swim gently forward. Bubbles of water could be seen shooting out of the water depths as sign of her breathing. The bubbles gave the prince idea of her exact position in the water. Quickly, he followed suit swimming with quick strokes behind her. When they met, it was another session of expressing warm passion. He held her head with both hands. Both of them facing the other now,as he gently planted a warm light kiss on her lips. They remained like that for a brief period as the waves gently swept past them as they stood in the water. It was quite relaxing to both of them, as the Royal couple continued to play and have fun. Tossing water balls, over and over again to each other. After a while, it was time for a little break as the walked out to shore, hand in hand towels the watching guides. As they came to shore, they met a beach table all set. With the princess favourite fruit juice. " Lemonix" and other drinks placed on the table. This was camp chairs and table brought by the guards all the way from home. They had been carefully folded and kept among their luggages in the cart- wagon. Sitting down on the round table, the excited couple engaged each other in some sweet talking and intellectual questioning." Who sailed round the world in a big ship according to history?" asked the prince to his wife. " No one dare try to do that!"princess Tina replied him. "Well, some one actually did.It's all in history records" said the prince in response." So who is the hero that could achieve such a fit?" the puzzled princess asked. Her husband answerEd her gently " his name is Ferdinand Magellan. He was an explorer who sailed round the world. He started his journey from Spain. The atmosphere of the beach was so attractive and relaxing. Hours had gone by, but it only appeared like few minutes in the eyes of the love birds at this sea side. It took the intervention of the palace guide who brought them there, to remind them of how much time had passed and that it getting late to leave for their apartment. How happy the prince and princess were as they prepared to leave the beach for their honeymoon Island little home in the midst of the wilds birds, animals and Ocean. The escort guard and palace guide were so glad that that their master and Mistress did have a full filed outing. To satisfy his curiosity the palace guide quizzed "My princess hope you enjoyed our beach?" " O yes! I very well did, thank you for showing the way" replied the princess through the interpreter, chief guard. " We surely will be back here again, after this first visit I believe" added the Prince." Let's get going now" said the palace guide. The road back home to their lodging was about an hour walk through the shady forest. It would not be too healthy to trek through the forest path late. The sun would soon begin to go down. Their stay at the beach was long but it seemed like few hours. At some point in the short walk back home , the princess had to seat and rest a while. Having used up much strength at the beach. She had spent so much time in the cool water. She returned back several times over again into it. Most especially due to the high sun intensity. Finally the group arrived back to base. What an exciting day it had been for marcus and Tina. The couple for home and hit the bed immediately. It was time for some good siesta. Which was inevitable due to the exhaustion from the beach outing. They both changed into a simple wear and fell asleep wrapped in each others arms. Next, day the.couple woke up with a start. The day had promise of new things and fresh joy. The prince was the first to wake up. As he did, he sat on the bedside while he cast a cursory glance at his wife. She was also, now awake but looked dazed with still some sleepy eyes. "What I feel right now is that am about to loose you to some one else my dear"he said to his wife. " My dream today was not too pleasant . As I dreamt you were kidnapped and I could not find you any more by me". The meaning of the dream was not clear to prince Marcus. However, he was already having this premonition of some strange event coming ahead. The dream of course, bothered the Princess a she could not figure out who might wish to abduct her in a remote Island. Secondly, she could not fathom why anyone in this whole world might think such eviil concerning her and the gentle Prince. The prince as much as she knew of him was not a trouble some individual at all. He had always been a man who kept to himself right fro! when he had been a a single youth. The dream sparked now some worries in her as a woman and a newly wedded wife. Highly, loved and cherished by her darling husband. She could not think of any other thing that was better to do now, under the prevailing circumstances than to calm my reassure her husband, not to bother about her and the dream. She had this strong conviction within her that all was going to be well in any case. The chief of the Island had put together a get together launch meeting with the royal couple at his palace. Today was the day for it. This the Princess was happy at and really looked forward to. The launch meeting was later turned to a dinner as relayed by the chief"s messenger. He had come in earlier, to notify the couple of the change in plans by the village head. The engagements were much for the chief and not wanting to disappoint the his royal guest, he had decided to reschedule the launch meeting to a dinner party. The couple made their way to the chiefs palace. At his place, they were greeted with a table well set. All manner of Local dishes were available on the table. The chief 's favourite meal of Snail and green Vegetables, Fresh bush meat pepper soup, some native soup made of Local ingredients were just a few of the various delicacies on ground for their eating and enjoyment. A seat was set for the couple very close to the Chief himself. The air was filled with scent from aroma from the various food on the table
