Sid stepped into the room and witnessed Jannat crying over the couch. Her tears were rolling down from her cheeks and vanishing in her lap as her clothes soaked the warm liquid. It was intensely unbearable for Sid to see his love of life agonizing in pain, but unfortunately, Sid was powerful at this moment. Her every tear was piercing his soul and hurting the lover inside him. He had already been expecting to see her crying for Ibrahim, but he wasn't expecting the pain which he had been feeling inside his chest. Sid sucked a deep breath; his marriage scenario with Jannat had been appearing in front of his eyes and making him feel so terrible. His destiny was laughing at him. The girl whom he had dreamed of since childhood till today, even though she is his wife, is not his. Sid's condition was precisely like that person who was standing in front of the giant sea but still couldn't full his thirst. **What a life you got, Sid! (Sid sarcastically laughed at his own destiny. When She was with Ibrahim, you were agonizing, and now, when she is with you in your room as your wife, you are still burning in pain** He wasn't expecting such a dirty turn of life. But that's his fate now, especially until Jannat makes a decision. He moved toward her to console her, but a weird smell hit his nostril. He inhaled deeply, and an unpleasant phantosmia smell filled in his nostril. Sid started looking here and there; that was when his gaze fell on his half-burning dairy, which was lying recklessly over the pile of ash. For a second, he was stunned; his eyes had almost popped out of his sockets. He felt as if, instead of pages, his heart has been turning into ashes. Sid tried to run as fast as he could, but unfortunately, his every step felt very heavy to him. Still, he managed and instantly moved toward the fireplace and picked up his half-burning dairy. In the process of saving his emotions, he scorched his fingers. Because of pain, a moan escaped out of his mouth, and his dairy got slipped from his palm. Seeing the condition of his dairy, his heart also started burning like coal, he looked at Jannat, but she was lost in her own world. Then with hurried steps, he moved toward the secret room. Seeing the condition of his room, Sid felt as if someone had ripped his skin brutally out of his body. Jannat had not only removed her photographs from the wall, but she also burned every memory that Sid had been keeping with him since he was a kid. A few tears slipped out of his eyes, **How... How could you do this, Jannat?** Sid picked the net of Jannat's frock and closed his eyes in pain. Sid's pov: I don't know what to say or how to react, I wasn't expecting this from her, Was it that easy for her to burn all these things...? Maybe it was. That was why she didn't think twice before setting this room, my feelings, and my every emotion toward her on fire. Walking further into my room, I noticed how violently Jannat had torn all our past pictures and shattered our old toys. I was feeling heavy. I was feeling as if I'll break down any second. Jannat is in love with Ibrahim, I thought she'd understand my feelings, but no, she ruined everything. She doesn't even let me explain myself to her. I felt a weird sound. I looked down and noticed the Indian bride and groom dolls under my feet. Our childhood appeared in my mind when I used to play dolly house with Jannat. "Sid, One day I want to become the same bride as her. (She graces her fingers at the red bridal attire) I will wear the same attire as her" Her dreamy eyes, her expression, the way she was holding the doll, and the way she was staring at the doll was still so fresh in my mind as if it was the story of yesterday. The bride's doll, which used to be very close to her in childhood, was now lying on the floor with broken pieces. One by one, with heavy emotions, I started picking up the pieces of both dolls, but there were many pieces. Seeing the condition of the dolls looks like she tried to crush them with her feet. **How could she act so cruelly? **My bleeding heart screamed, but unfortunately, I had no answer to this question. I always knew whenever she came to know about my feelings for her, she'd react, but I wasn't expecting her reaction in this way. My legs started feeling like Jelly, I sat on the floor over my knees and, with tear-filled eyes, tried to assemble the dolls, but it was hard. I was feeling too emotional, My vision was blurred due to the continuous forming of tears, and soon, the pieces of dolls slipped down from my palms. "Sid" "Sid" "I don't like seeing you in pain." I immediately covered my ears with my palms and closed my eyes to avoid the pain, but even after closing my eyes, I could see Jannat in my thoughts. Our childhood, Those school days, Our teenhood, Our adulthood, all the moments with her was making it difficult for me to breathe. I instantly opened my eyes, resting my empty palms over my thigh. I started breathing heavily. My gaze fell on the frame which was lying under the couch. I crawled toward the couch like a toddler and picked that frame. Her collage picture refreshed her first day of college; she was nervous and blabbering too much. Her fingers were playing with her clothes, and she was scolding me for no reason. I was so lost staring at her that I didn't listen to any of her words, and she thought I was ignoring her. Gracing my fingers over her frame, a painful smile appeared on my lips. I can never forget those days, never. With growing age, I started understanding my feelings for her. I tried to ignore my feelings for her, I had even tried to strangle my love for her too, but I don't know when I started walking on the path of one-sided love. When I used to see her, my heartbeat used to get increase, and it still does. Even after knowing that my marriage with her was impossible, I used to dream of seeing her as mine.
