Veronica I conditioned and dried my chocolate brown hair so it fell in its naturals waves down to the center of my back. I applied a thin layer of mascara to my long eyelashes and lip gloss to my full lips before walking into my closet. I pulled on a pair of powder blue wide-leg dress pants with a matching sheer chiffon top and paired it with nude pumps and gold jewelry. I walked across the hall to my office to grab my briefcase and laptop before heading down to breakfast. I entered the dining room to see that almost everyone had arrived and was digging into the fresh trays of food covering the table. I passed an Omega while walking to take my seat, “Mrs. Rogers, could I get one of your famous mocha’s in an insulated mug please?” I begged as I took my seat. She smiled back at me “Of course, Luna. Now eat some breakfast, I know you’ve got a big meeting today.” I thanked her as I took my seat between Damon and Nina. I piled food on my plate while I listened to the friendly chatter happening in the room. Uncle Nolan was telling my mom and Aunt–the Beta female, about mine and my father's sparing session, my sisters were talking about their rooms at the new house, while Damon and Leo continued their debate over the top 8. I smiled to myself and focused on my breakfast so that I could get to the office, I did have a big meeting today. We had been working on finalizing plans for the biggest hotel resort the company has built so far. Today was the meeting to make the final decisions before we begin construction. Once complete it would make the company tons of money and provide many new job opportunities for the pack members. “Are you ready for the big meeting today, boss?” Nina turned to me and asked. I chuckled, “The real question is, are you ready? You’re the one that has to present the designs for us to decide between.” Nina has an incredible eye for design, she’s the one who dreamed up the idea of a ‘Bachelor and Bachelorette’ resort. The resort would be made up of two towers one that caters to women–equipped with a spa, boutique shops, and several specialty lounges, while the Bachelor side will house a strip club, a sports bar, and another series of specialty lounges. The two sides of the resort will be connected with a strip of restaurants and a pool deck. The idea earned her the Lead Designer role for the project. This was her first time leading a team of her own, but I know she is more than capable. Other than being a brilliant designer, she is the daughter of a Beta, a born leader. She rolled her eyes before smirking at me, “I was born ready.” She turned to Damon and said, “How about you brother, are you ready to squash my dreams with budgets and timelines?” “Squashing your dreams is what I live for sister,” was his quick response. On top of his rank as Beta in the pack, Damon was also a skilled and experienced Project Manager. He’s been leading company projects since he turned 17, nearly two years ago. I chuckled and stood up from the table, “Alright, I’m off, are either of you coming with me?” Damon shook his head. “No, we’re heading out right behind you.” I made a quick stop in the kitchen to grab the insulated mug that was waiting for me. After waving a thank you to Mrs. Rogers I left the packhouse, made my way into the city and to our office. … I arrived at the office to find that my assistant already had the conference room set up for the meeting. Each seat had a packet full of already finalized project details, a water bottle, a pen, and a pencil. I walked next door to my office and unpacked my briefcase before sitting down to go over the decisions that needed to be made today. A few minutes later Sage walked in to pass on my messages and go over my schedule for the week. “Good morning Ms. Green. The conference room is set up for this morning’s meeting, Lunch will arrive for the group at noon, and the lunch with Chef Michaelson is scheduled for tomorrow at 1.” I took the menu she handed me that we would be going over tomorrow and looked them over briefly before setting them aside so I could focus on today’s decisions. “Do you need anything else for today’s meetings?” “No Sage. Everything looks perfect, thank you,” I said as I stood to walk towards the conference room, “Hold all my calls, unless it’s an emergency from the pack.” I walked into the now full conference room and took my seat at the head of the table. On top of the packet Sage had placed in front of each seat, there was now a thick black booklet with the concept art for nearly every room in the hotel and a thinner packet that held the options for the row of restaurants that would make up the base of the hotel as well as the bar and lounge chef options. As the room settled and everyone became silent in their seats I looked over the room giving a smile to everyone, “Thank you all for being here this morning. We have a lot of decisions to finalize today, so let’s jump right in. Ms. Adams, you’re up.” Nina got up from her chair and walked to the front of the room. She looked powerful and confident in her blush suit set. Her blonde hair was pulled back from her face in a long, sleek ponytail. She smiled over the room, “Alright, let’s start from the bottom up.” … Two hours later, we had selected the design for the basements which would hold the Spa and Strip Club and the lobby, which was sleek and melded the two sides of the hotel perfectly. The first two floors would hold Boutique shops and a Sports Bar. We selected eight unique designs for each side of the hotel for floors 3-10, each floor would have 10 guest rooms varying from single rooms to small suites with a private lounge for the floor. The top two floors would each have unique designs as well but would be made up of a few larger suites.   Nina did an amazing job with the designs. There was a great variety between the floors. Keeping them private to only the guests on each floor, another of Nina’s brilliant ideas, ensured that our guests would have a new experience each time they stayed. Overall there were twenty different designs including an Ethereal Garden floor with delicate floral details, a Man Cave floor with a bar and game tables, an Arcade floor with pinball machines and game consoles, and a Brunch floor with bottomless mimosas and bright details. Every design seemed more elaborate than the last. If I didn’t already know this hotel would be a success, this meeting would have convinced me. Nina was right, this is what she was born to do. I smiled at her from my seat across the room, “This is great work. Now that we’ve got the design aspects worked out let’s break for lunch, when we come back we’ll pick up with the restaurant and boutique selections.” I stood from the table and walked into my office where my lunch was waiting for me. As I sat down to eat Sage walked in and handed me a few messages, “Alpha Green called, he said it wasn’t an immediate issue, but he would like you to call him.” “Thank you, Sage, I’ll call him right now.” I set down my unused fork and turned to look out the window as I dialed my father's number.
