Chapter 1: PROLOGUE (Nyx Calderon POV)

I heard from the previous workers that my employer hates servants to the core because his father fell in love with one of Mateo's servants, the one he loves. But corresponding to them, Mrs. Mateo is not even mad.

Mrs. Mateo is a kind-hearted woman. They also forced her to marry Mr. Mateo. And for 15 years, she endures the marriage she was into. Mrs. Mateo can't stand seeing her husband cheating and dealing with others. She let them elope to live and, with her blessings, the two left the Mateo Mansion.

Mr. Mateo and his lover had a tragic accident, the plane crashed that took their lives. Mrs. Mateo was guilty, and that's how Magnus started to hate helpers.

Because of that helper, his father died. That's how he understands everything. He was just 15 years old when that happened. Mrs. Mateo explained to him he keeps blaming the helper who tainted their family.

I was standing in front of my employer's bedroom door when I heard him speaking and laughing. Perhaps he is on the phone chatting to his friend, I assumed.

“Oh? I will turn his world upside down until he leaves, limp walking. I am the almighty Magnus, who dares resist my charm? Hahaha!”

My eyes were wide in shock. I wonder who it is about. Who will walk limping?
