Lizzy It was maybe five or ten minutes later, and I could hear the old guy out front talking to someone. “Yeah, she’s locked herself in the bathroom...Look, I don’t want any trouble here. Just get her and get out of here.” I tensed as someone knocked on the door. “Lizzy? Gears sent me. My name is Ink. Can you open the door for me?” I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to. Alex must have heard him, though, “That's him, Lizzy. Open the door. I am on my way.” Again I nodded even though I knew he couldn’t see me. Slowly I picked myself up off the floor and opened the door. Standing on the other side was not just one member of The Spiked Eagles MC but a dozen. The guy standing in front was the shortest. With dark black tattoos that ran all over his arms, up his neck, and a few even up onto his bald head. All of them were almost invisible from how dark his skin tone was. Behind him were several large guys. All of them looked scary as hell. On instinct, I took a step back. “Alex, are you sure?” I tried to whisper it, but with how upset I was, my voice failed me. “Yes, Lizzy, go with him. I will see you in a few hours.” I sighed but nodded again. “Ok.” Pulling the phone away from my ear, I hung up and tucked it back in my pocket. Ink gave me a small smile and motioned for me to follow him. Gulping, I forced my feet to move and walked out of the little store surrounded by all these large guys.  Walking out the door, my eyes landed on a dark figure standing across the street. I didn’t need the street light to know who it was. Connor was watching me leave with the MC guys. Even though I knew, I didn’t have a reason to be scared of him now. There was no way he was getting anywhere near me, not with all the guys from the MC around me. It didn’t stop me from being scared. It didn’t stop me from stopping and taking a step back, and trying to retreat back into the store. But I only made it a step backward, and I collided with the biggest guy of the bunch. He was large, muscular, and built like a f*****g brick wall. On instinct, his hands shot out, grabbing my sides to stop me from falling. The simple touch, though, sent pain shooting up my sides from Connor hitting and kicking me earlier, and I couldn’t stop the cry of pain that escaped me. Just as quickly as he had grabbed me, he let me go. Since I was already off-balance from bumping into him and now the pain from him grabbing me, I fell. Landing on my ass as a whole new stream of tears rolled down my face. “Oh s**t, I’m so sorry.” He kneeled down but didn’t touch me. Anger flashed in his eyes a moment, making me scoot away from him instantly. “Ink.” His voice was filled with rage now, and I couldn’t scoot any farther away from the guy. Kneeling down next to the big guy, Ink slowly inched closer to me. “Lizzy, who did this?” I shook my head, “Please, I just want to go. Alex said you would take me somewhere until he gets here.” Sighing, the two guys shared a look briefly before he turned back to me and nodded. “Yeah, let’s go.” He reached out to me, and I took his hand, letting him help me up and walk me over to where they had parked their bikes. They all climbed on their bikes, Ink handing me his helmet. I had ridden on several of the MC guy's bikes back home. I knew the drill. Put the helmet on and climb on the back. As we pulled out of the parking lot, I couldn’t help but glance back and see Connor glaring at me.  A few minutes later, we pulled into a parking lot, and if I was to guess, this was the club’s clubhouse. It was a large building with several other bikes parked out front. I climbed off the back of the bike and handed Ink back his helmet. Then followed him inside. Sure enough, it was similar to The Thunder Wolves clubhouse. With a large open room with lots of places for people to sit, a hall on the main floor with a few doors. Probably offices and bathrooms. A staircase that led up to most likely rooms for the guys to either sleep in or bring a girl back to. They also had several pool tables and dartboards, and even a bar. The room was filled with guys and all members of the club. There were also several half-naked ladies hanging on several of the guys. Ink walked through the room, heading down the small hallway until he reached one of the rooms and opened the door. Like I thought, it was a little office room with a couch in it that covered one wall and a desk and a couple of chairs on the other side. He motioned for me to go in. Again I had to force my feet to move as I walked past him. He followed me in the big guy coming with him. I moved to the far side of the room and sat on the couch, making myself as small as I could. The big guy closed the door behind them. “Lizzy, who did that to you?” I shook my head. I wasn’t going to tell these guys, who I didn’t know, what happened. It was going to be hard enough to tell my brother and dad. They tried for a few more minutes, though, before giving up and letting me be while I waited.  At some point, I fell asleep on the couch. My mom lightly nudging my shoulder woke me up. My whole body was sore, making it hard not to moan slightly from the pain as I set up. I was somewhat confused as I pulled a blanket off that had been on me. I didn’t have a blanket when I fell asleep. There was also a pillow where my head had been a moment ago. Looking around, it was just my mom and me in the room. If my mom was here, that meant my dad wasn’t far behind. “Mom?” She smiled at me. “Hey, sweety. Ink says you need looked at.” I nodded slowly. I was sure I did. I pulled the blanket the rest of the way off me and slowly stood up. Taking a deep breath, I closed my eyes as I pulled my shirt up for my mom to examine the damage. She didn’t make a sound, and I knew she was in doctor mode. I pulled my shirt off all the way and let her check me over. “Lizzy, when did this start?” I sighed, “Three months ago.” She had me turn slightly. “Why didn’t you say something?” I shook my head. “He had my phone.” Her fingers on me stopped moving for a split second, but then she was back to pushing on the tender spots ever so lightly. It hurt a lot, even though I know she was being as careful as possible to check for any internal injuries. Although I am sure, she would much rather have been doing this at the hospital so she could have x rays and whatnot. I did my best not to make a sound or flinch away as she went. I was doing good until she hit just about where my kidney would be. The slightest touch there, and I couldn’t help but cry from the pain. He had hit me several times there, and I am sure his boot connected with that spot a couple of times as well. “Sorry.” I nodded as I leaned forward and grabbed hold of one of the chairs in the room. She waited a few seconds until I nodded, and she went back to poking and prodding me. She avoided the spot that hurt the most until she had looked over the rest. Then she slowly and as carefully as she could started to check that spot again. Starting with the immediate surrounding area, which hurt, and I wanted to cry just from that. I had to bite my lip to keep from crying. Then she hit the center, and I couldn’t help but scream.  My scream must have been the last straw for my dad, who apparently was standing directly on the other side of the door. The door flew open, and he was in the room in an instant. “Gunner, really? Shut the door.” My mom rolled her eyes at him and shook her head. I wanted to cover myself back up, but my mom was still pushing on different spots close to the spot that hurt the most. The door closed, and my dad moved across the room and stood in front of me. I couldn’t look at him. I was so ashamed. He had taught me never to let a guy do this to me, and I had. I had begged him to let me move out here so I could do what? Go to school and take the same classes I could have back home. So I could date guys who didn’t know who my dad was and know they should be scared even to kiss me? Yeah, look where that got me. I hated myself for letting this happen. I should have ended it. I shouldn’t have let it get this far. Shutting my eyes, I could feel hot tears rolling down my cheeks. My dad wiping them away only made them flow harder. My mom sighed as she stopped poking and prodding me. “Alright, I am done. I think you will be ok. But when we get home, I want to get some scans done.” I nodded and pulled my shirt back on. Sitting back down on the couch, I couldn’t look at my dad. I couldn’t see the disappointment on his face. That didn’t stop him from kneeling in front of me, though, and wiping my tears again. “Lizzy, what happened?” I started to cry harder as I shook my head. The door opened again, and I knew my mom let the others in. “I am so sorry, daddy…..I shouldn’t have let it get this far….I knew after the first time, and he promised it wouldn’t happen again that it would...I am so sorry.” Again he wiped my tears then pulled me into him hugging me. He had seen where the bruises were and knew where not to touch me. I couldn’t help but cry harder as I wrapped myself around my dad. While he shushed me and told me it would be ok. It took me a good ten or so minutes before I calmed back down and pulled away. He let me go sitting back watching me wipe my own tears away. “When did it start?” I looked up to find Alex and Jax standing there with Ink and the big guy from last night. Wiping at my face again, I took a deep breath. I had to tell them. They had to know. They were all going to be angry, and I knew it. But they still had to know.  “Three months ago. The first time was right after I got back from my visit for the weekend when Alex and Clara announced the pregnancy. He was mad because he had wanted to go with but had to work. He told me he didn’t want me to go without him being there. And I went anyway.” I shook my head, “after he said he was sorry and he would never do it again. I know I shouldn’t have believed him. I know it was stupid. But everything seemed to go back to how it was before for a week or so. Then he came home in a bad mood. After that, he took my phone and was the one texting you all until I found it yesterday, and I took off. Once he had my phone, he found a reason to be mad at least twice a week. I didn’t know anyone's number so I couldn’t call anyone. I even asked a few people if they would bring me to the guys here, but no one would. And then he found out I was asking people for rides here and…” I whipped at my face again. “Well, I stopped after that. I didn’t know he had been texting you guys, so when none of you showed up to find out why I wasn’t calling or anything, I started to believe him when he said you didn’t care….I know it was stupid of me to believe it. But I did.”
