The Golden Wolf 2: A twin life.

1. New Beginnings...

Quick note: For anyone not knowing how to pronounce Jamie's daughters name is Kayla ... (Kay-la)

Jamie's p. o. v

Over the years as I have watched my pups grow and things have been quiet. We took on the duties and thrived as King and Queen. We were never able to have any more children. I had become pregnant 2 years after I had the twins, but It was an entopic pregnancy, Basically the babies began to grow in my tubes instead of my womb and I was rushed into surgery. The baby had died and to save my life they had to take the tubes away ... I was now infertile. We were heartbroken at first, but I treasured the twins even more. We made improvements to the Children (pup) services across all the packs. We decided that any pup that was abandoned or orphaned all came to the royal pack. No pups were allowed to stay in packs, every pup that was without parents in any way, Came to the child services in the royal pack Only! That way I protected any pup that found themselves alone. We made sure there was plenty of support and help towards any wolf that wanted to adopt and all of the potential parents had to be thoroughly vetted beforehand. I personally dealt with everything that had to do with that side of things. We had yearly meet that was mandatory for anyone that adopted a child. I was a mother to all the pups this way. My daughter Kayla, Was the same as me and took a big interest in what I did, Following in my footsteps from the age of 10. She would meet any pup that came to the services and made them as welcome and at home as much as possible. The pups would open up to her far more that any of the staff. 

There were no attacks made on the pack that directly linked to my twins, don’t get me wrong there was attacks on many occasions over the years but we could never find something that would say anyone was after my kids. One day nearing their 13th birthday a letter appeared out of thin air and floated down to the ground while we were setting everything up for their surprise birthday party... Alyssa checked it for any magic before allowing me or anyone to touch it. She could only tell us it was sent by magic and that was it. There were no hidden spells some she handed it to me to read:

Kaden had been in a rage for weeks after that. We never found out what the warning could mean but we knew it was something the twins would need to decipher once they were old enough. Again, all went quiet where they were concerned. We had all had kids but there was a bond formed between four kids specially. My two, Damian and Kayla and Alyssa's kids Mia and Mark. Alyssa had been seeing Liam almost from the moment they had met. They had kept it all secret till after the battle with Kaden's father, Miles. I then found out that Alyssa already had Mark and had left him in the care of her coven while she was with us. He was only a month old, and his father had died. When her and Liam told us, what had been happening between them since day 1 really, she also dropped the bomb shell that she was pregnant by Liam and was only a week behind my due date. She had Mia a week after I had the twins. They all grow up together and we were all hoping they would end up mates. After my twins turned 18, we realised that Kayla and Mark weren’t and after Mia's birthday, it confirmed that Damian and Mia wasn't either. We were all a little disappointed but all four stayed close still. 

Once they were all 18 Kayla and Damian sat me and Kaden down for a meeting about them taking over the pack. They wanted to rule Jointly! It was a surprise and had never been done before but explained how they would divide all the responsibilities and duties between them, it would allow them both more free time to be with any future family they had and We was amazed and proud of what they had come up with... They would also be taking both of Liam's kids as their Beta's Mia to Kayla and Mark would be Damian's. They also wanted 6-7 months to tour all the packs to check the state of them personally and hopefully find their mates too. We agreed to everything they had planned; they even took others along with them and they had found their mates in the process. After Visiting a pack, they came home afterwards and gave us reports. They had found that there was a lot of she-wolves missing! We were shocked to learn this, they had either been taken and only some packs had reported this. We were furious to find this out, but the twins had handled the issues and even in some cases installed new Alpha's and ranking families to rule and run the pack. The other she-wolves had run and become rogues to escape bad mates or abusive packs, Again the twins sorted the issues and changed how some packs was run. Many was brought to trails and imprisoned for their actions in the abuse cases. My twins were making a good impact on the werewolf kingdom and making changes for the better.

Anyway, from all this, we gathered that the treat to the she-wolves was coming from either Northern Star pack or the Red Moon Pack. These are the last two pack the twins were left to visit, and I was worried to death with Kayla going there... Kaden reassures me by reminding me that he and I, have trained all four of them personally since they was 8 years old and they have more that proved themselves capable to handle any situation, But I still worry ...

Damian's p. o. v

 We were all getting ready to go carry on with the visit to the last two packs, we loaded the car and said our goodbyes and are now going through to the Northern Star pack first. Kay believes her mate is there and wants to go there first, she believes her mate will lead us to mine as well as all the missing women. I know mum was worried about Kayla going anywhere near these pack as everything we have uncovered points to the she-wolves going missing and ending up near or in these two packs, but that is where their trails end. There is no trace of them and all tracks before that, was buried very well, it’s only because of the powers that we have been able to unlock that we have traced them this far. Only Mark and Mia are aware of me and Kay (Kayla) having unlocked a few of the powers and that has only happened since our 18th birthday nearly 6 months ago... We had been having joint dreams of our mates since the night of our 18th birthday and knew they was in trouble or a dangerous situation. It was the reason we came up with the tour idea, But the more packs we went to the more we found this problem of the missing she-wolves. We both now suspect that our mates are mixed up in this somehow, we feel their fear and emotions. I fear for my mate mostly as I know bad s**t is happening to her! I feel it every time she is 'taken' But I know it is not consensual, I dread the state she will be in when I find her, But I will not reject her. I will heal her and show her how a real wolf is and does to take care of their mate. I will save her, and we will live our lives together. Both me and Kayla have spoken to our mates in our dreams but whenever they try to tell us where they are, the dream shatters and we wake. We can't see them only hear them, we tell them we are searching and to hold on as we feel ourselves get closer to their location. Kayla's mate name is Ryder and mine is Ashley. We have talked for the last 6 months and we will know them as soon as we see them, I am sure of it!

"Damian, you’re zoning out again!" I hear Kay say and glance over at her. She has been driving for the last few hours.

"Are you going to take over now? You said you wanted to take over for the last 30 minutes’ drive to Northern Star, just in case they have lookouts as we enter the territory." She says.

"Yeah, pull up and wake Mark and Mia. They’re going to want to get sorted before we get to this f*****g pack!" I growl. I hate the s**t I've heard about this pack and I already want to kill their fucktard of an Alpha for what I've heard.

"Now, Now Bro! You know we will have to play nice at first. We need to get all the information first before we take his head. Last think we need is dad all up in this business." She points out. Yeah true ... We do not need our parents finding out how deadly us four have become. The s**t storms we have had to sort in the last 6 months, would have them feeling like they have failed ... Neither are aware of what we have had to truly face out it the pack's, In the kingdom. The stuff that has been hidden throughout their rein as King and Queen, would destroy them. They fought for such a good future for all wolves and me and Kay will see them dreams truly realised. We have installed new Alpha's and Killed all the old ones off. Yeah a few we sent for a trial, just so we look justified with our actions with the family. They were only mild cases, the really bad s**t we have personally dealt with. Even my sister has blood on her hands, but together we are a force to be reckoned with. None knew us four for what we really are.

"Game faces guy's, we are 5 minutes out from the pack house." I tell them.

"Damian, Do I really have to act the dainty f*****g princess again here? Me and Mia cannot stand this part... No doubt another Alpha will push yet another unworthy son on me again! I hate how they all look to you to arrange a match for me and their son to, And I quote ' unite our packs!'" She says with the air finger quotes ... She really despises this bit.

"Yes, you know you do. It's the easiest way to do this, you know that ... Besides, you already said you are sure your mates here, Think on that part... No doubt the son will want to show you around and it will be the easiest way to get an inside look at thing and meet the most members...Quickest way to find your mate." I say and that seems to brighten her face a little.

"I didn't think of that! Ok, Ok I'll play my part." She whispers as I pull up to see the entourage waiting for us. Me and Mark exit the car and go round to escort the girls out. We approach the Alpha and I start the greetings with introductions.

Kayla's p. o. v

"Good afternoon Alpha Jake, My I present my sister Princess Kayla Black, Our Beta's Mark and Mia Williams. I'm Prince Damian Black." Damian says.

"Good Afternoon your Highnesses, Welcome to The Northern Star pack, this is my oldest son and Alpha to be... Ian. My other son is a little late coming back from an errand." He looks at me as he introduces his eldest son, Yeah, he can get rid of that look, Both of them! I hear a screech of tires and See someone exit a car. His scent hits me hard, Coffee and caramel and I shake a little. He starts to jog to us not looking up. He is tall and has dark, Blonde hair, Looks as fit as hell! He suddenly stops and looks up, Straight into my eyes. My green eyes meet his blue and I feel the connection. I know him!

"Mate! We found him!" Layla yips and jumps around inside my head. He walks straight to me. He takes hold of me by the neck and gently kisses me. Damian growls and he stops kissing me.

"Hello little mate, Sorry about that Riken took over there haha." He laughs nervously, I can see why, As Damian looks at him suspiciously. I link him quick.

"Be nice, It's my mate Ryder, I'm sure of it. I recognise his voice and he can lead us to yours." Damian's face changes and he smiles. As Alpha Jake speaks.

"Ryder, What The f**k you doing? This is the Princess Kayla, you can't just kiss her like that ... Apologize right NOW!" He growls and I turn to glance at him.

"Dad, I can because she’s, my mate. You know I would not have kiss her otherwise ... I have waited so long for you, my love" Looking to me again, He smiles and it's stunning! His fingers lovingly caress my cheek and I turn my head into his hand and smile back.

"Mate? No way. If anyone gets the princess as a mate, it should be me, I am the next Alpha after all! ... What do you say love, reject him and have me instead. I know how to make a woman like you, Happy!" Damian growls and I step closer to Ryder. He looks at me surprised. I'm about to explode and Damian speaks as he knows me really well, He knows that this Ian has trigger Layla.

"Kayla, why don't you take a walk to the Forrest line with Ryder? Go have a chat but stay in my sight. I need to speak with the Alpha ... Ryder, please take my sister to stretch her legs, after the long drive we just had."

"Want to go for a chat?" He asks and I nod. I let him lead me near the Forrest line. He takes my hand while we walk. He stops at the tree line and just stares at me for a few seconds before bending and kissing me softly.

"Goddess, Your gorgeous." It is almost a whisper and I blush.

"I've been dreaming of you for the last 6 months. Listening to your voice, I have tried to picture you so many times.... But I could never have pictured you so beautifully as you are, I had started to think you was not real. That I was just dreaming you up!" He tells me, I blush at his words. We have had so many conversations in our dreams. I know him so well by now. 

"I tried to find you as quick as we could, let us not talk of that here. It's to open." I say because I know no-one, we cannot let anyone hear what has been happening between us.

"Wait, all that was real! I said not to come for me, It is dangerous here. Get the prince and go as soon as you can... You do not understand! Now, your mated to me they will think they can keep you here. I know you’re at the royal pack now, Once I get a friend free, we will come to you." He whispers out fast, He cannot seem to help but touch my face and pull me close by my waist with the other hand. I can see and sense his desperation to keep me safe. Did he not understand I am a warrior before being a princess.

"You think I'm just going to leave? Not a chance.... You have no clue who me and Damian are do you? And that friend of yours, I know she's a girl, she is also Damian's mate. Her names Ashley.... My mum's the Golden wolf, and we have powers Ryder. We came to investigate the disappearance of 20 she-wolves as well as find you two! Do you think we would have been sent if we can't handle everything? I'm not some delicate princess, I'm a god damn warrior." I growl back at him, A little pissed at his assumptions, That I'm some delicate flower that can be trampled on!

"Wow, your f*****g sexy when your pissed!" he smirks back and that's all it takes for me to calm down and laugh.

"Look, I've been training since I was 8 years old, you don't know the s**t me and my brother have had to sort out over the last 6 months... This will not be my first rodeo... We have had to train, Vigorously! As we are the only children born from a Golden Wolf ... I have been search for you for the last 6 months, I can't be away from you now .... Can you stay at the cottage that has been allocated to us four?" I ask not wanting too ever be apart from him again. I want him at my side for the rest of my life!

"Would you want me to? It has only got four bedrooms; I would have to stay with you in yours.... I know we have talked a lot over our.... Time and I know we said we would never be apart once we finally met ... But are you sure you want me with you... Tonight?" He whispers back all nervously, and I smile at him ... He Is really caring, and I knew he would always put my needs and wishes before anything he wanted.

"I would love that. Damian will want to know what is happening here too as well as what's happen to his mate. We have been connected to the both of you for the last 6 months, we both know you 2 have been going through some rough s**t!... " I see shadow's cross his face.

"Ryder, I meant it when I said I will accept you on the spot!... You are mine and you always will be ... I fell in love with you over the dreams... Please stay with me?" I know it’s not very princess like to be begging him like this, but I need him with me. I have needed him ever since the dreams started.

"Then you have me, Princess! I will stay by your side till I breath my last... I fell in love with you too ... I really do love you, Kayla." I feel the shiver go over me with the way he says my name and I kiss him this time. I pour every ounce of love I have felt for this man over the last 6 months in to this one single kiss. He pulls me as close as he can, and I feel him do the same ... I don't know how I will keep from consummating our mate bond tonight ... I had promised to introduce my mate to my parents before doing that, but I don't think I can keep that promise, if he keeps kissing me like this ...
