*Alarm rings*
I groan and pick up my phone to snooze it.
Then suddenly I sit bolt upright. I remember that I snoozed my phone before too.
Oh no.
It means it's 7:15 now.
"Get up, get up, get up Josh", I say to myself.
Someone stirs beside me.
"Come back to bed honey. It's just morning", says Aurora.
"Hey, how did you get in my bed Aurora. Go away. I'm getting late for uni", I stand up realising that I'm naked.
Hell, now I remember Zac's party last night. This is how Aurora ended up in my bed then. I was f****ng so drunk to remember.
"No hard feelings Aurora", I smirked at her. "I had a great time. Now leave before I throw you out", I said while I threw her bikini sort of a dress on her face.
"F**k off, Josh. People are right about you. You are a playboy. You wait and see, I'll make your life hell", she hurridly wore her clothes and stormed out of my room.
"As if I care", I shout as the door closes.
Well there goes nothing. Stupid w***e. I can count on my fingers with the number of guys she has slept with.
'Don't waste your time on her', Blake says.
"Yeah you are right, she's not worth it", I respond back to him.
Oh wait. You guys don't know who Blake is.
He is my wolf.
And yes I am a werewolf. Like a real one. Who can shift into a beast whenever I want.
I'm the only son of the Alpha of the Howler Moon pack. We are a considerably a big pack with approximately 8,000 members.
My father became the alpha of this pack after winning a duel from the last alpha. He was a good alpha but he was growing old.
And now I am the heir to the alpha throne. But I have seen my dad work his ass off for the pack. And I don't think I was ready for that responsibility yet. But my dad was very keen in handing the responsibilities to me.
So I made a plan and asked him, that I want to go to another state for higher studies. Once I'm back, I'll take over.
Surprisingly, he agreed and told me to catch the first plane back to home to Darwin after my graduation.
So, my plan worked. And here I am studying Architecture in Sydney University and living the best life one can imagine.
My alpha looks give me that slight edge. I can feel those girls getting high by just looking at me. They pass me smiles and I pass back. And somehow someone ends up in my bed whenever I want. Once I'm done, I forget and move on.
I know this will be short-lived, as I believe my mate would be there somewhere for me. If I say that I am not waiting for her then that would be wrong, because wherever I go and whichever girl I meet, I try and look for the mate bond.
Till now I have been very unsuccessful. However, once I thought I found her, but Seth told me that's a wrong call. He said once I'll find her, I wont be able to stay away from her.
Seth is my best friend, who came along with me for studies. He is also in my class and is a werewolf as well.
Having a wolf best friend also comes with a lot of advantage. Like you always have company when you are out for a run in the woods, because every now and then Blake, my wolf gets hyper and I have to shift for him.
Well I am already late and the morning unit will be over by the time I'll reach for class. So, I think I should hit the gym for half an hour and then leave for the next unit.
*ring ring*
"Hey mate! what's up? Late today as well? Who was it last night?", Seth snickers from the other end.
"Yeah man, it was Aurora. She told me that she will make my life hell", I said while closing behind the main door.
"What, hahaha. That silly girl. Well I'm bored. Jared is eating our brains by asking a lot of questions. I swear I'll strangle him to death one day", he exclaims.
"Enjoy man. I'm heading to the gym right now. I'll be there in an hour", I said.
"Alright. Come in two hours. The next class is cancelled because the student body needs to do some preparations for the freshers coming tomorrow ", Seth reminds me.
"Oh yeah, I forgot. New year, new girls. That's great. See you then. Bye man", I hang up the phone.
Suddenly I am feeling very excited for tomorrow.
Let's hope everything goes in my favour.
