The Unexpected Alpha

Chapter 3

“Are you going to say anything or are you just going to sit there and stare at the damn wall?” I was starting to get furious. He had been sitting like that since I told him I was a virgin twenty minutes ago. I grabbed one of the bags that had the lunches Mrs. Robles knows I like. I opened the bag and grabbed out the Tupperware. A nice, fresh Caesar salad with the perfect creamy dressing. I dug in the bag a little more and found that she added some of my favorite salad toppings in smaller container. I put my salad together and sat down at my desk. Since Jacob was lost in his damn head I decided to go ahead and eat and start plans for the kitchen remodel.

            “You are 23, a virgin, and an architect major. How?” I was shocked by what I heard. “I graduated early. By the time I should have been graduating high school, I had finished my third year of college. I flew through all of my classes and was even made valedictorian. Everything I learned was too easy. It came naturally. I don’t have college debt either. I’m the youngest Architect Major in the area. Most of my original classmates are just now getting ready to graduate. Long story short, I’m a nerd.” I went back to eating my salad and he came and sat across from me.

“I’m sorry I blacked out. I was talking to Hunter. More like talking Hunter down from the high we are getting from you.” I looked up at him and shrugged my shoulders. “I’m used to being ignored. I just thought that since you are my mate that maybe you wouldn’t ignore me. I thought that I would have your undivided attention. Especially when I was practically screaming for you to take me right then and there.” I went back to my salad and fruit. “Eat your food. I have a headache and need to go lay down in the dark before it becomes a migraine.” I finished my food in silence and sat it on the little table outside my office. Maria and Mrs. Robles came up with the idea because I spend most of my time in the office and it would give them a chance to grab the dishes without interrupting me. Mainly if I get lost in the middle of a sketch.

            Jacob finished his food and took the dishes down to the kitchen rather than leaving them on the table. I think he knows that I was hurt by the fact that he ignored me while I was literally in the middle of trying to take his clothes off.

            Don’t be mad at him for too long. We need him as much as he needs us.

            I know Abi. That’s why I was trying to mate with him already. Things will be easier if we can mind link when needed.

            Is this also why you are lying about having a headache?

Yes. But I also need to change considering we haven’t even showered since training and I am pretty sure we smell.

I bet you he loves our scent.

He probably does especially since he is our mate.

I locked my office door and walked across the hall to my room. I grabbed my phone out and texted Jonah. ‘Can you tell Jacob that I went to my room and the door is unlocked for him?’ I hit send and as I did I suddenly hear footsteps coming from the elevator. My phone went off at the same time and I looked down and it was Jonah. ‘I gave him a rundown of your daily schedule. He knows which room is yours. He is just grabbing his bag. He’ll be up soon.’ I looked up from my phone to see the Luna standing in front of me.

“Are you considering taking the Alpha title? Because if you are you should do it soon. There will be a meeting with the Elders in the next two weeks. They want to see that you are serious about this and have someone by your side for it. Jacob can help you. So don’t reject him.” “Luna, I plan on talking to Jacob about that after my shower. I’m not rejecting him either. I just wrapped up some plans with him for the project. We talked a little but he is mine. And I am his. No matter how much Hunter likes to keep him from me while I’m trying to talk to him.” “Let Abigail put Hunter in his place. He won’t be able to refuse his mate.” “Thank you Luna.” “You are very much welcome dear. Get some rest. Dinner will be at 7.”

            I walked into my room and headed to my bathroom. I turned on the shower and started to undress. After I had my clothes off and in the laundry basket, I stepped into the shower. The hot water running across my sore body was just what I needed. I heard the door to the room open and close. “Celeste, are you in the shower?” Jacob called out. “Yes, I am. You can join if you want.” I put my head under the water and stood there for a minute. The shower curtain opened slowly and then Jacob stepped into the shower. He started to run his fingers down my back. He was inspecting the scars that were left from the multiple punishments I had received for nothing. I felt him come closer and then he started kissing each scar. I pulled my hair to the side and let him. The weird thing was that I didn’t flinch from the touches. He reached in front of me and grabbed my loofah. “They are still too sensitive for the loofah. He had the whip soaked in wolfs bane before he ordered them to whip me.” Jacob put the loofah back and put a little bit of soap on his hands and gently rubbed my back. We finished in the shower. I went into my closet and grabbed out one of my dresses. I put it on and walked back out of the closet.

“I have plenty of room for your clothes in the closet. The dresser is empty for the most part as well.” I walked over the bed and made it up. “Where do you keep your socks and underwear?” He looked confused. “That is and easy answer.” I turned around and lifted my dress. “I don’t wear underwear. And my socks are in the basket in the closet because I don’t wear shoes all that much either.” As I was lowering my dress I felt him standing behind me. “You cannot tease me like that. And I would prefer if you wear underwear with your dresses.” I looked at him. And he was still in a towel. I pulled it off of him and exposed his member to me. “They are constricting. And I have yet to find any that are comfortable. I will not be taking orders from you either. Going without panties also means that you can sense my arousal much more.” I climbed into bed and he stood there looking at me.

“Are you getting in bed? Because I know for a fact that Jonah told you that I sleep a lot. Which, I don’t. I lay in bed because it’s my comfort.” He didn’t even bother to put clothes on. He crawled into my bed naked. I snuggled close to him. “You smell amazing to me. Like dark chocolate and peppermint.” I laughed. “My favorite tea is peppermint and my favorite candy is dark chocolate. You smell like fresh falling rain and crisp linens.” “I’m going to kiss you Angel. It might turn you on. But I’ll stop when you tell me to.” He got on his side and grabbed my chin. He leaned down for a kiss and kissed me deeply. He trailed kisses from my lips down my neck and started to nibble. Moans were escaping my mouth. “Don’t stop. “ I moaned out. Next thing I knew he was on top of me. “Damn, you are so beautiful.” He kissed me from my lips down my neck.

“I can already smell you. But I will not be going so far. Yet.” He rolled off me and put his arms behind his head. I sat up and looked at him like he had lost his damn mind. “I’m sorry, but did you just deny me?” He started to shake from laughing. “If that is what you call that then yes. I denied you but only for a little bit. I know that you are in all technicalities the Alpha of the Estrella Pack. What I need to know is if you are okay with me just being the Lead Trainer.”

I uncovered and sat on my knees. “Do you think that I will have an issue with you being an ordinary wolf when I am the Alpha? Because if that is the case then that in not true. Look at who my father was. Not my dad but my father. My dad was an amazing man. You would have like him.” I reached for his hand. Suddenly I felt a necessary urge to speak with Dr. Feild. “Will you come with me to the hospital wing? I want to talk to the pack doctor.” “Yes, I’ll get clothes on.” I climbed out of the bed and went to the closet and grabbed a pair of sandals. When I came back out Jacob was dress and waiting for me.

“Do you really walk around the pack house in a dress with no sort of underwear on?” He look at me concerned. “Yes. I spend a lot of time by myself. I don’t really do big crowds. I’m getting better at it but it is still taxing on my anxiety. Which is non-existent around you.” I grabbed his hand and my bag and we walked out of the room. I locked the door behind me and we headed for the hospital wing. We took the stairs because at this time the elevator gets really crowded. We took our time walking down the stairs, hand in hand. A few of the pack members we walked by gasped at the sight of us. One came running up to and excitedly gave me a hug. They were so excited that they practically ran after our brief encounter.

            We reached the hospital wing and we walked in the doors. “Ms. Garcia. How nice of you to stop by. Are you looking for Dr. Field?” The nurse at the front desk asked. “Yes Elizabeth. I want to talk to him about my records from when I had arrived. Is he busy today?” I walked around the desk towards the seating area. “He was actually expecting you. He is waiting in his office. Go ahead and go back. Nice to see you again, Jake. How is your mom doing?” “And you Beth. She is good. She is planning a trip this direction to help Mrs. Robles with cooking while the renovations are underway. Make sure you find her and say hi because you know she will be busy making sure there is enough to eat.” “I will do that. It’s good to see that you finally found your mate.” “Thank you Beth. Have a good day!” He followed me to the doctor’s office.

            “I didn’t realize you knew Elizabeth. Or most of the people in the Lotus pack.” I knocked on the door and it automatically opened. I walked into the office and saw Alpha Herrera already sitting there. “You are here for a blood test to see if you truly are an Alpha, aren’t you?” “Yes I am Alpha Herrera.” “For the millionth time, will you call me Andrew? You are a guest here until you decide what you would like to do. Jake, nice you see you again son. How is she coming to terms with you being her mate?” I stood there. Jacob reached for my hand and gave it a small squeeze. “Dr. Field, do you have copies of my blood results from when I first got here? I would like to see them.” I walked over to the chair and sat across from him. He pulled up the results from my file and showed them to me. “There. Right there is the strand of Alpha DNA. Does that help?” I nodded my head. “Andrew, I would like to go ahead and claim my title. What are the next steps we need to take in order to do so?” The Alpha sat next to me and handed me a file.

“This file contains everything you need to know. First I would recommend completing the mating process. Then you can decide on if you want to stay here until you rebuild or if you leave and start from scratch. You are more than welcome to stay. We can get your lands back in order in a few months. The Elders didn’t fully disband the pack so you can still reach out to all of your pack members.” “Angel, what are you thinking?” I sat there in silence.

“We stay here while they fix the pack house and get it in a livable state. I’m sure the Elders have kept it decent since they have possession over it. Once the pack house is up and running then we can go back to the lands and get settled. Slowly start bringing those who wish to remain with the Estrella pack so they can feel safe.” “That is a great plan Celeste. You are going to make for a great Alpha.” “Thank you, Dr. Field. Andrew, can we speak in private? Babe, I’ll meet you at dinner. This may take a little while.” The Alpha and I walked out the door. “Is this meeting going to require my office?”

“Not so much your office, maybe an empty exam room? Elizabeth, can we borrow this room for a brief minute?” She nodded her. I walked into the room and the Alpha closed the door behind him. “Is it possible for Jacob to be the named Alpha? Hold the title as a face rather than me? I would much rather be his Luna then the Alpha.” Alpha Andrew was shocked to say the least. “I don’t think that is a wise decision. The pack knows that you are the next Alpha. They are waiting for you to accept it. They know that with your mate they will have to respect him and anything he says. But do not for one minute think that you will be like him. You are a good person. You will also have Jacob with you every step of the way.” I nodded my head. “Thank you. I’ll meet you downstairs for dinner. I have something to do first.” The Alpha took his leave. I walked around the castle trying to mind link with my brother.

Adam. I need to talk to you in person. Where are you?

I’m in my room. Do you need me to come to you or do you want to meet somewhere?

Can you meet me outside? I need some fresh air. Things are about to change and hopefully for the better.
