Five years later

Neil sat at his office chair while his gaze was fixed on his hot secretary in complete shock.
After a long pause, he started swirling his chair from side to side and made an expression as relaxed as he could.
His mom, his brothers, and his sister were all wandering in his mind.
In the last five years, only his siblings and grandparents spoke to him and visited him occasionally but his mom and dad never came.
"Sir, your... Your mom" Tara stuttered seeing her boss's sour mood. She was getting vibes as her boss would explode at her any second. Now she was regretting why she received his call.
Neil raised his brow at her.
"She said, she wants to see you" She finally let out and released a breath.
Seeing her expression it felt as if she was holding a burden over her shoulders a few seconds back.
Narrowing his gaze at Tara, he again passed her questioning expressions.
"She didn't say much Sir, but she said that she wants to see you ASAP "
Neil found it difficult to believe what he heard from his secretary.
It's been months since he had listened to his hot-headed mom's voice.
When he was a kid he used to think that his mom was strict and his dad was pretty cool, but later he came to know that his Mom has a coconut personality hard from the outside but soft from the inside and his Dad has a sun like personality, pretty and warm from distance but blazing when he turned angry.
He was now aware of his Dad's intensely cold and dominating personality too.
Talking to him was never easy for his mom and he was aware of this fact.
His sweet mom had to sneak to talk to him when his Dad wasn't in sight and his possessive dad rarely left his mom's side.
Getting up from his chair, he shoved his palm into his trouser pocket and recalled the day when crossed all the limits and lost everything.
He lost the girl he loved dearly,
His father threw him out of his mansion and of course, he lost the closeness of his mom, siblings, and grandparents too.
The past five years were nothing but worse than hell for him,
He had been through so much,
He was homesick just like his mom,
He was dependent on his mom's cooking but thanks to Tara, he gets homemade food every day.
No! He wasn't upset with his Dad but he was grateful for him as he was whatever today it was all because of his Dad.
If his Dad hadn't thrown him out, he wouldn't have planned to come to India and turn out to be CEO. Yes, his company wasn't as big as his Dad but he owned what he had today.
He is no longer his Dad's little prince but with his hard work he turned himself into a king of his very own empire.
Tara started following her boss while cursing him under her breath as Neil was striding fast while his mouth was busy barking orders to the manager and chief engineers.
Tara was recording each word of her boss, trying her best to match her boss's pace.
"Tara...! "
All of a sudden, Neil paused made Tara bump into him but before her butt kissed the ground, Neil coiled his prominent muscular arm around her tiny waist.
He could see her tightly squeezed eyes behind her glass frames and terror on her gross.
"Tell Tarun to get my private jet ready"
Tara nodded opening her eyes slowly.
Neil made her stand on her feet and started striding to the elevator.
"We'll continue this project after this week as I am going out but I'll stay in touch with you all 24×7"
Neil said to the team, stepping into the elevator with Tara.
Without giving a proper explanation about his availability to the team, he closed the door as his mind was engrossed thinking about the girl he once loved more than him.
He had no idea if he could face Kylie again.
Leaving his homeland, he had completely shut off his life from there.
He honestly had no idea if Kylie was still the same as he left her,
Or dating someone,
Or married.
He was connected with his siblings but never asked anything about their personal lives.
He knew that some clashes were going on between Kabir and Storm but he kept himself away from their clashes.
Neil doesn't understand why Storm has so many problems with Kabir and why she turned too cold to him.
The last time he met Damien,
he came to know that to compete with Kabir, Storm almost put their Dad's whole shares in danger.
But Neil was proud of his sister because she succeeded in the riskiest deal with her intelligence as she got our Dad's manipulative mind.
But more than him, it was Kabir who was happy for Storm like every big brother.
The recalled time with his family made him feel something inside his chest that he hadn't felt for so long.
He missed his siblings,
His grandparents,
His Nani's dishes, and mom's love.
He missed going to Nani's home and putting his head in her lap.

Holding the books in her palms, Kylie headed toward the lobby area where her Mom usually spent most of her time in winter.
Victoria was sitting near the window settee, glancing at the heavy snowfall of New York.
Seeing her mom engrossed in admiring nature, Kylie placed the books over the table and silently moved close to her mom to surprise her with her presence
But halted at her place witnessing the tension on her mom's gross.
Victoria's forehead head was covered with frown lines.
"Mom!"
She called to gain her mom's attention.
Without turning her gaze at her little princess, though not anymore little.
Victoria thought and sighed heavily.
"Instead of wasting your time in books, you should be looking for a man for yourself Kai" Regret appeared in Victoria's eyes when she turned her gaze and her eyes met with her gorgeous innocent daughter.
Kylie's eyebrows were raised at her mom
"Why should I look for Man, Mom? "
Victoria smiled at her confused daughter and her question then patted her palm on the settee
Kylie made herself comfortable on the settee.
Her mother brushed her hair from her face and there was a warm expression over her gross.
"You are no longer a young kid Kai, it's high time for you to look for a boyfriend"
Victoria uttered, making her daughter freeze at her place.
Victoria noticed how her daughter got alert and how her skin turned pale.
She also knew that her daughter would use all her skills to avoid this topic but she had enough of her ignorance.
"I made it clear to you and Dad that I don't want to get married ever, why do you always bring this topic to me? "
Victoria sighed again, shaking her head slightly. She knew it wouldn't be easy for her as her daughter was as hard-headed as her Dad.
"I have to darling, you are in your twenties and I think it's time for you to get a boyfriend and if you can't do that let me know, I would be delighted to find a suitable match for you."
"I came to talk to you about my job and here you are giving me anxiety Mom."
"Instead of worrying about your job, you should think about starting a family and having babies"
Kylie understood where the discussion was heading too but she already made up her mind long ago that she won't change her mind at any cost.
"Mom, let me clear you again, I am never going to find a boyfriend nor marry. besides I can always adopt kids but unfortunately not now as you know I don't know the ABCD of taking care of babies"
Victoria lost her mind hearing her daughter's words.
"What are you implying Kylie? " Victoria questioned in a hard tone, narrowing her gaze at her daughter.
"We all know how good and caring you are Kylie, and I think I and your Dad have given you great upbringings.
Besides, I have seen you learning cooking from Neha and taking care of your pets.
Kylie started shaking her head,
She grabbed her hair and closed her eyes for a second.
With frowned features, She looked at her mom.
"Tell me honestly Mom, Are you in the mood of cracking jokes?
Learning cooking from Mrs. Neha and taking care of pets is very different from taking care of a family and child" she flared at her mom.
Her mom and dad nowadays left no single chance to piss her off, at every point they don't fail to bother her about starting a family and having kids.
She realized that her mother hadn't removed her hard stare at her which made her release a heavy sigh.
She sucked a deep breath to calm her mind but the penetrating gaze of her mother wasn't helping her at all.
"I told you we can always adopt a child, there are many people around the world who are living single and happy too!"
Victoria raised her brow "We?"
"I mean I,
I can adapt child" She shrugged her shoulder making Victoria curse her husband and Neha as the last time this adoption s**t was fed by them in Kylie's head.
"That is never going to happen, young lady! "
Kylie raised her brow at her mom.
"I want you to make your own kids with a guy! "
Her mom cleared her.
"That will never happen, Mom! " Kylie almost let out frustratingly making Victoria narrow her gaze on her princess.
"If you can't make a boyfriend then I have to do it for you "
Kylie shook her head in horror, as she had no interest in any businessmates's sons.
After What Dark had done with her in the past she was horrified by the presence of guys that was why in whole school life she always made distanced from males except one who never spare glance at her since Dark tried to force himself on her.
"Mom, it's enough! "
"Are you still scared of males? " Victoria finally question that made Kylie's body rigid.
Kylie didn't say a word but her deep inhaling and fist on the clothes were illustrating everything.
"I have a guy in my mind who can help you to get out of your fear? "
Kylie raised her brow at her mom as she was curious to know the name
"Black! I am sure he will cure your fear! "
For a second Kylie felt as her heart would come out through her mouth.

He loves me too much just like my parents and I had witnessed his love for me many times but he as my cure, no way.

He loves me but I feel scared around him. **

Just hearing Dark's name, all the air knocked out through her lungs,
The colors faded from Kylie's face,
Her heart stopped beating and mind got lost.
She was feeling numb as that horrifying day was still fresh in her mind when Dark tricked her and called her into his room.
Victoria also noticed how the goosebumps appeared over her daughter's skin.
"Sooner or later you have to move on in your life Kai,
I am sure if I talk to Dark, he won't say no to me! "
No way!!!! Kylie screamed in her mind but nothing comes out of her mouth.
She don't understand why her mom after many years taking his name when he isn't here.
She was sure as hell that she would happily embrace death instead letting him come near her.
