Unfinished Regret

"It's really bad.."

Darius immediately cast a lazy look when he heard the complaint of the man beside him. The man was drinking banana milk, resting his chin on the table while looking at a little boy who kept on whining, asking for something.

"Stop complaining.. The more you complain the more I want to throw you out of this place's window"

Darius said in a mocking tone. He then took a sip of the hot chocolate in front of him

“Besides, can't you drink anything other than banana milk? Are you still growing up or something, huh?”

The man ignored Darius' question, glanced at the clock while counting down, 3..2..1

"Aunty!!"

The man gave a small cheer when he saw his new target, Clena appeared. Entered the hospital cafeteria with elegant steps. Even though Clena was wearing patient clothes, she still didn't look like a patient. She actually looks like a catwalk model who is playing as a sick person.

"Finally I can meet auntie!"

The boy named Andrew who was his target earlier ran over and hugged Clena's legs. Meanwhile, Andrew's mother, who had been nagging him all this time, could only cover her mouth in shock, she panicked and immediately pulled her son to let go of Clena's legs.

"Sorry miss! Forgive my son's impoliteness!”

She said panicked. As a young mother who is familiar with social media, she knows very well who the woman in front of her is.

A beautiful woman with a flat face who looks at her child with a cold gaze is known as the 'Undead' who does not hesitate to teach 'lessons' to anyone who she finds disturbing.

"Andrew, let's get off the lady's leg!"

Martha tried hard to get her child's hand off Clena's leg. But Andrew still hugged Clena tightly and could not be released no matter how hard Martha tried.

Clena could only stare at the mother and son who were squatting in front of her. Didn't realize that there were many eyes in the cafeteria staring at them. Of course there is a new misunderstanding that forms in people's heads, namely 'A mother tries to protect her child from Clena's anger because her child accidentally fell in front of Clena'

"Could you get off my feet?"

Andrew immediately raised his head, looking at Clena who was also looking at him with a cold gaze

"If you keep pulling my pants, I'm afraid my pants will fall out of place"

"Huh?"

Martha was suddenly dumbfounded when she heard Clena's words.

“Ah? But, what if your pants come off? I'm often like that when I play with my friends too."

Andrew said innocently, still not taking his hands off Clena's legs.

Clena's brows immediately furrowed. The combination of the frown on her forehead and the cold look on her face made anyone who saw her think that Clena was angry. Everyone even hold their breath as Clena removed Andrew's hand from her leg. She then crouched down and spoke in an low voice

"Of course it's not problem for you. But for me as an adult it is a big problem.”

"Oh, really? But why?"

“Hmm, well, it's because I'm an adult. My reproductive organs have developed. So, if…”

“Alright miss, we got it! Then we'll excuse ourselves!"

Martha covered Andrew's ears and immediately carried Andrew. She then ran away leaving Clena who could only stare at them leaving with a confused look.

"Ah, your balloon... you leaved it..."

Clena muttered in a low voice, stare at the ballon beside her. She finally decided to take the balloon with her. Because she thinks the rabbit-shaped balloon is very adorable.

"How? Do you think there is hope that our task will be completed easily?”

asked the man dressed in all black, stabbing the other milk box because the one in his hand had run out.

Darius looks at Clena who is standing at the food counter, looks like she wants to buy something

"Hmm"

He muttered while stroking his chin

"Depends on her worldly problems. But it seems a bit difficult if we want to finish it quickly.”

Darius almost spilled the hot chocolate out of his mouth when he saw Clena smiling at the cafeteria keeper. Clena might be smiling, but it wasn't a friendly smile that matched a thank you word. Her smile was exactly like the grim reaper sitting next to Darius when he was about to take the life of someone who was filled with sin.

“I think after she dies, there's nothing wrong with you recruiting her for an apprenticeship in the death department. I'm sure whoever she picks up will feel sorry for having sinned in their whole life."

He said again to the man dressed in all black who was a grim reaper.

The Grim Reaper paid no heed to Darius' words. He instead looked at the two boxes of banana milk that he had finished. Hmm, looks like he has to buy this banana milk supply again.

"Hey! Are you listening to me or not?”

Darius snapped his fingers in annoyance to which the grim reaper only replied with a nod of his head. Darius finally sighed heavily when he saw the grim reaper who clearly only cared about the banana milk in front of him. In his heart he cursed, out of all the grim reapers, why did he have to be assigned a lazy and annoying grim reaper like this?

"Okay, have you figured out what regrets she hasn't finished yet?"

This time the grim reaper straightened his body and focused on reading the book he took out from the pocket of his black coat.

“Hmm, after I investigated, she has a lot of unresolved regrets…maybe more than 10?”

This time the hot chocolate in Darius' mouth actually spewed out of his mouth. He coughed many times before grabbing a tissue to wipe his mouth

“More than 10? Have you gone mad? How did she get on your list then?!”

Darius asked hysterically.

It was the first time in his career as a 'messenger' to see a human being put on a death waiting list with so much regret. Usually there are only 3 regrets that have not been resolved at most.

Grim reaper shrugged his shoulders

"I don't know, I'm confused too. But take it easy, I have negotiated and finally it was decided that only her 3 biggest regrets will be resolved"

Darius instantly breathed a sigh of relief

"Thank God.. so, what regrets do I have to deal with?"

"Not only you, but us"

The Grim reaper corrected Darius' words, causing the man to immediately grumble

"Huh, even though I'm obviously the one who will work later"

The Grim Reaper paid no heed to Darius' grumbling. He then started to explain what regrets Clena had in her life

“And out of all those problems, it was already determined that we only had to solve 3 problems. First, the problem with her parents. The second is the problem with her best friend and the last is completing her pending dream."

The Grim reaper handed his book to Darius so that Darius could read the details of the three regrets he just mentioned.

"Wow, she has a bad life record huh.. It's a shame, even though she has a good heart .."

Darius muttered. But the next second he closed the book tightly and looked at Clena who walked away from the cafeteria

"Okay! I'll finish everything quickly. So, what identity will I use this time?”

Darius asked impatiently. He began to think of various attractive identities such as being the CEO of a rival company, or being a handsome actor who worked as a model for the latest cosmetic product that Clena's company was about to release.

"Hmm, about that..."

The Grim reaper supported his head with his right hand and said

"You're going to be Darius Sanders, Clena cousin who started studying at one of the universities in this town"

Darius's brows furrowed instantly

"Huh? Isn't my identity too ordinary?"

The Grim reaper shrugged his shoulders and said

“I don't know if you think it's normal or not. But, that's what your identity is like."

He said indifferently

Darius just stroked his chin. Hmm, this was the first time he had gotten a very ordinary identity. Whereas previously he got an identity as a famous composer and songwriter to solve Nina's regrets.

But the next day, Darius realizes that his identity is not an ordinary identity

“You damn grim reaper!”

He cursed angrily as he ran with all his might, avoiding the burly men who were chasing him. The men who were debt collectors from the loan sharks who said that Darius borrowed money from them...
