1. Prologue
Hi, Treasures, and welcome to book IV of the 'Traded series'. There have been so many emotions - tears shed and laughed and felt so far, and although it's been a wild ride, I do want to warn you that this is the darkest book of the series, followed by TTMA and Raven's book. This one will by far be the toughest to read in terms of trigger warnings, so please tread carefully. I'd also like to announce that after this book, you'll be getting Beyla's and I'm very excited to show you what I have planned for our little bean!
Before we begin I wanted to take some time to thank you all for your incredible support, your comments, moon tickets, follows, even for getting yourselves the paperback copy of TTMA - thank you for everything! You are the reason these stories get to be read and these characters come to life, so thank you from the bottom of my heart!

"You can't keep this from her any longer! We can't keep this from her any longer!" I stopped in front of my parents' door upon hearing my father whisper-shout. One thing about him, the one thing I was most certain in my father about, was that he never raised his voice. He was quiet, the silent observing one. He was one of the males who'd rather listen to you talk and calculate his next move. To anyone but me and mum, he also appeared emotionless.
So who was he shouting at now? Who was in the room with him and what were they keeping secret?
I inwardly cursed myself, hoping the Moon Goddess wouldn't be too disappointed in me as I pressed my ear against the door with the silence only my mother and father, the Gamma couple of the Blood Moon pack, could teach me.
"She's too young!" My mother. At least the secret wasn't about her, then. But that only left...
Me. They were keeping a secret from me.
"She's sixteen! She's getting her wolf in an hour, as much as you wish for her to stay a pup forever, she's a grown female now and she deserves the truth!" My father demanded. I heard the shuffle of footsteps, my mother's footsteps, as I'd been trained well enough to listen for those even without enhanced hearing.
"She is a pup still! She doesn't need to be plagued by history that only you, I, and the Luna know! It's pointless! She's happy, Shawn!" Mom's voice broke.
So my aunt also knew? A sliver of betrayal coated my tongue as I wet my dry lips. I thought my family had always been honest with me, after all, I'd always known who my biological mother was, and that I was adopted, I knew that they didn't know who my biological father was and that my uncle had searched for him to no avail. I was beginning to doubt it all now. Have they been keeping secrets from me my entire life?
"And she will be again, but she needs to know the truth." Dad was relentless about telling me, and although I was still a little pissed at him for keeping secrets from me when I'd never kept one from him, from either of them, he was on my side now, which was more than I could say for the rest of my family.
"And what do you suppose I tell her, huh?" My mother's voice raised as her voice broke further. I could tell without seeing her that tears had begun to fall down her cheeks. "That her father raped her mother and she's the product of it? That her mother's only dead because she gave birth to her?"
