I pulled up my duvet as I felt the rush of harmattan through the window, I could have just woken up to close the window but my lazy self couldn't.it was a very cold morning. I didn't even know what time it was. I had stayed up all night gisting with Bella about everything and anything I could remember. We talked late into the night and had lost track of how much time had gone.
I felt someone drag my duvet from beneath as I struggled to pull it back.
"Wake up sleepy head" I looked up at who was at the end of the bed disturbing my sleep as I rubbed on my neck gently and my sleept eye.
"Bimbo!!!" I shouted "why are you waking me up so early"i continued as I sat in an upright position on the bed
"Because the day as already started and there is so much to do, so now get out of bed. And hope you didn't forget about our outing this night. We should really check out that new bar" Bimbo said as I struggled to get out of bed.
I picked up my phone as I sat at the edge of the bed.
"What!!! It's almost 12pm" I exclaimed
"I told you, now get up and get dressed" Bimbo said before she walked out of my room and I rubbed my face with my hands to get the remaining sleep off my face.
"Alright, Alright. I will be down in a sec" I said as I strolled into the bathroom to have my bath and brush my teeth.
In a few minutes, I was done. I put on a short and top since I wasn't going anywhere till the evening with Bimbo.
"Good afternoon mum" I said, as I got down the stairs. Mother was sitted with my aunt and also Bella has they checked through some Lace Materials for Bella's wedding.
Bella stood up from where she was as she rushed up to me as I walked closer to where they were all sitted.
"Do you like this" she asked showing me the beige colour lace in her hands. I collected it from her, sat next to mother on the sofa as I ran my hands through it to feel the material.
"Check this too" mother said, handing over the burgundy coloured one with her. I handed back the one Bella had given me back to her collecting the other from mother.
"I think I like this one more" I said admiring the piece of fabric with me.
"I told you" Aunty said facing Bella who seemed to like the other piece of fabric more.
"We can always use both anyways. It's your wedding my dear. You own that day" I said facing Bella who didn't seem so happy about the other choice.
"That sounds good too" mother agreed.
"Yeah, I like that too" Bella said smiling.
"This is for the engagement right" I asked
"Yes, it is" Bella answered.
"Do you have anything doing later today, I and Bimbo are going for drinks later this evening" I explained facing Bella as mother and aunty were still so busy with the fabrics they were picking.
"I will be going out with Tony later today, we are going to check some apartments. We decided to check some around Lekki" Bimbo explained.
"Ohh, that's nice, maybe next time then"
"Yeah" I responded
I lay on my bed surfing through the internet after lunch waiting for Bimbo to send the location of where I was supposed to meet her. I checked my ** and was so tempted to stalk Tony to know if he was actually the guy I met in the united states. I was about to begin my search when Bimbo's call came in my phone.
"Babe, I just shared my location with you on what's app. Start coming, this place is crazy" Bimbo said excitedly.
"Alright, Alright" I said
I dropped my phone on the bed, picked a dress from my wardrobe to wear, combed my wig before putting it on, I adjusted my hair in the mirror then sprayed a little perfume ready to leave.
I ordered an uber to pick me up at home, no one was home by the time I was leaving, mother had gone out to continue wedding preparations. Bella and Tony had gone out for the house hunting.
After a few minutes, I was at the bar, it was quit big, beautiful and classy too. It was one of those new establishments from either a politician or a family member of theirs. And I was sure it was going to be over priced too since Bimbo had even mentioned that it was a new place.
I scanned around the place after I entered to look for Bimbo, then I finally spotted her after she waved for me to come over. She was sitted across the bar man. I sat next to her as I got over.
"Hey b"
"see how nice this place is" Bimbo said admiring the facility
"I know right" i agreed
"But they are freaking expensive. A shot here is 20k(52$)"
"That's a lot though" I said amazed at how ridiculous that was.
"So, any gist" Bimbo asked as the bar man dropped our shots in front of us.
"Cheers girl" Bimbo said as we brought our shots together before gulping it.
"Wow, it's strong" I said making a soar face
"I know right" Bimbo agreed.
"I feel I know Tony" I suddenly said facing Bimbo
"You mean your sisters groom" she asked
"Yeah, while in the US, we met at a friend's party, we talked for sometime, it felt like we clicked until he ghosted me some days later" I explained.
"Really, did you guys talk about it after you saw him yesterday" she asked
"That's the thing, he behaves like we have never met"
"Maybe you haven't"
"I am sure he is the one though" I said insisting
"So why would he deny you"
"Did you guys like have s*x or something" she asked
"No" I said
"Are you sure, i feel there is nothing you ain't saying" Bimbo said narrowing her eyes at me.
"There isn't, it was just a game and we kissed once. It was a truth or dare game"
"Since it wasn't something serious and you guys weren't even together, why is he behaving like he doesn't know you then"
"I really don't know"
"Let's forget about him and not make this night about him. The night is still young" Bimbo said
"Two more shots please" she said
