Between lovers

I took a deep breath I started playing, my eyes were closed in order for me to concentrate and not make any mistakes. I could fill everybody's eyes on me as I played the piano, I felt so many things as I connected to the piano. When I finished, everywhere was quiet for a moment and then everybody applauded so loudly. My dad came to give me a hug “I’m proud of you” he said "let's give it up for miss Rhea Gonzalez" And everybody applauded again I was so tired of meeting my dad's investors I decided to go to my room and that's when I met him I was working towards the staircase and he mistakenly crashed into me and I fell but he caught me on time before I could reach the floor. His eye were blue, it was as if I had seen a prince but he was a waiter "I'm really sorry madam "he said "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!"my dad shouted "CAN'T YOU BE MORE CAREFUL, WHAT IF YOUR RUINED HER DRESS AND HURT HER" my dad shouted again Everybody's attention turned to us it wasn't necessary for my dad to yell at him "Dad it's okay, my dress is fine and I’m fine” I said "Okay dear, go up to your room and rest I know you are tired" he said Then he turned to the waiter and said "Don't be clumsy next time" "Yes sir " the waiter said My dad quickly apologize to everyone and the party continue I went to my room and freshened up. As I laid on the bed I began to think about the waiter, why did I feel so drawn to him, I have never felt this way maybe it's because I have been indoors since I was adopted. I dozed off I had a dream, I was at the beach with my mom, my real mom. We watched as the wind blew and the waves moved smoothly and made a surf noise as it hits the rocks, it was relaxing. All of sudden my mom couldn't breathe, I was panicking, I looked around for help but nobody was there they had all disappeared and everywhere became dark I held my mom's hands so tight and watched as she passed. I blinked and I was in the hospital I saw as the doctor spoke to an elderly woman but with a sad expression. I knew what was coming. The woman approached me and said “I'm flora and I will be taking you to your new house" I didn’t say a word She held my hands and we entered a vehicle. I blinked again we were in a graveyard everyone was dressed in black I look into the opened coffin it was my mom tears ran down my eyes as I looked at her. I blinked and this time I was in the coffin I screamed but no one could hear they kept on pouring sand to cover the grave and I started suffocating I woke up, I was relieved it was just a dream but the reality was that my real mom really died when I was 8 and I got adopted when I was 10 I looked at the time was 4:30 “ I will be late” I said I got ready for school, I pick out one of my best outfits to leave a good first impression and I hurried downstairs and my mom was preparing breakfast “Good morning mother” I said with excitement “Someone looks happy today” she said as she gave me a slice of bread “Of course, why wouldn’t I be today is my first day of school and I’m so excited” I said “I know you are” she said as she laughed “I have been homeschooled since I was 11 and now I get to make friends” I said “Not so fast”my dad said I thought he went to work "You're going with security so they can protect you"my dad said I knew it. Being the chairman’s daughter can be hard sometimes because there are so many rules to follow ever since I was adopted I had bodyguards following me everywhere. They followed me to all my classes, piano class, ballet class, art class, the only time there were not with me is when I’m in the bathroom and it was really annoying. “Okay dad” I said as I looked at the bowl of cereal I was eating “The car is ready sir” “Ok Rhea let’s go” I stood up and walked into the car. On our way I imagined how the school would be and I hoped the student will be nice. “Rhea” my dad said I looked at him “When you get to school do not forget where you came from, how you were raised, do not spoil my reputation, you are my daughter so behave like my daughter"my dad said I nodded "Always remember to study hard and make sure you continue to be a straight A student”my mom said “Yes mom” Here we go again with high expectations I said to myself We got to the school and I must say it was stunning and big, it had a statue in the center and so many glass windows it was like a skyscraper We got down from the car and I gasped “The school looks good” my dad said My mom smiled and I nodded. Two adults came to welcome my dad “Good morning sir” they said as they bowed My dad nodded “This way sir” We went to the principals office and I was asked to wait outside. My parents were speaking to the principal and I decided to look around for a moment as I walk down the hall I didn’t see any student so I assumed they most be in there classroom I looked inside a room and I saw a huge piano I was stunned I walked towards it and I touched one of the keys I smiled I heard a voice and it was familiar “You shouldn’t be here, it’s not time for music class” I turned to see who was talking and it was him.
