Chapter 1

Xander

Beep …. Beep … Beep

Dammit…. Who the hell is calling so early in the morning. I answer the phone not looking at who is calling as my head still on the soft pillow 

Xander: Hello … 

Josh: Xan …. Are you sleeping?

Xander: No I am catching flies at 3 in the morning. What do you want Josh

Josh: You sound extremely happy to speak to your best friend whom you have not seen in a year.

Xander: Well, You have not realised but we speak like everyday

Josh: It’s not the same you know. Anyway I wanted to tell you that I will be back in 3 days. I have closed my final assignment which happened to be the biggest deal for the company .. so they are going to give me an excellent write up, a huge payment for all the cases I closed as an intern and a job offer which they are leaving open incase I want to join them in the future.

Xander: WOW !! That  sounds Fantastic.

Josh: Well I was thinking that I will transfer half the amount to the pack’s funds which will help when we look at expanding.

Xander: No man… I could not allow ….

Josh: Shut up Xan, the pack is also mine like it is yours, and its our dream right to see it become the biggest and strongest pack in the world.

Xander: Absolutely…. Sorry man but I am so tired that I can’t lift my head from the pillow.

Josh: Chill buddy, I understand and anyway I am sure with the amount of chicks you date every week you will loose the bet.

Xander: Hmmm … What?

Josh: Forgot … I am turning 18 by the end of this week and we had a bet about who would find their mate first…. Remember.

Xander: Yeah so… its not like you will find her on the same day. 

Josh: You never know buddy … I can already feel her heart beat and I know she is around me so I just have to wait.

Xander: Oh did I forget to tell you that since the last week even I have started to feel my mates heart beat. At first it was weird because I could feel the beat but could not smell her scent but when I spoke to mom she explained that may be my mate has still not turned 18.

Josh: May be that’s why I can’t smell my mate too.

Xander: Josh, listen dad is trying to link me … I will talk to you later.

Josh: Sure .. may the best Beta win the bet

Xander: hmmm … what … that is just not …. (Peep, peep) call ended
