I am his mate

Chapter three

Leo’s POV 

I had just finished cleaning myself up a bit when, I heard a knock on the door “Come in” I said. I smiled when I saw Jack and Ivan enter my hospital room. They greeted me “Hi Alpha, how are you feeling today? Ivan asked first. I thought about lying but what good could that do to anyone... “I’ve had better days” I finally said. It was the truth, I was glad I was awake but I still felt very weak. I then started asking them about the pack; “I’ve been in contact with Solenna, and everyone is awaiting your return today” I thought about what Emma had said to me that, she was unsure of how stable I was to travel, she had been really great at me for the last couple of days. She made sure I was where I was today. I had spaced out so much that I was almost halfway to the moon when Ivan interrupted me, “So what do you think alpha?” I took a glance at them just to notice they were both staring at me waiting for me to reply. I nodded trying to avoid asking them again when Jack replied “Ok its settled then, I’ll tell her when she comes back”. I nodded assuming I’d find out what it was that we had settled in when Dr.Emma came back. I should’ve known better. I continued the conversation by telling them what our next move was in helping Cheryl, I would contact the superiors when we got home and they would help ease the s**t show we were about to put this town through. 

Emma’s POV

I was finishing my normal rounds in the E.R before I headed back to Leo’s room I was pretty sure they were done updating leo in whatever had happened to the pack in the past two days. It was about 4:30 pm when I headed to Leo’s room with discharge papers. I wanted to talk to him to give him some recommendations on how he should take care and how I thought his treatment should be continued at his pack’s hospital. I cant lie, I mean obviously I also wanted to talk to him about us, but before being his mate I was first his doctor and until I finished my duties as such I should behave appropriately. 

I knocked on his door as I would do with any of my other patients, I heard his voice and it made my wolf jump in happiness even though all he had said was “come in”. Oh my I so did not want him to be gone. 

As I entered the room and greeted the three men all these thoughts started going through my mind. ¿when will I see him again?, ¿Does he want to see me again?, ¿Does he want to get to know me? ¿Is my dad going to like him? 

When BOOM it hit me. He already had a pack. If I wanted to be his mate did that mean I was going to have to move? Where even was his pack located?

I tried to shake the thoughts out of my head as I was still on duty. I directed myself at the three of them letting them know he should be transported laying down and as smoothly as it was possible so that the stitches would not break and what not and I was about to finish what I was saying when I was interrupted by Jack clearing his throat “Sorry Doc, there seems to be a misunderstanding” he says. I looked at him very confused “what do you mean?” I asked him. He got up and out of his chair and around Leo’s bed, Ivan looked at Jack confident but Leo had the same confused look as I did when he began saying “I Jack Campbell, Beta of the Blue moon pack, am requesting you Dr. Emma White to come to Blue moon pack to care for our Alpha Leo Russell”. I stared at him angrily for about two seconds before both Leo and I snapped at him “What?” - I mean we all knew what that meant, it wasn’t so much a request as it was an order. And I mean I was considering moving there to be with Leo but an order? Did he really have to resource to those methods? Couldn’t he just asked me instead of making his beta nonetheless do it for him. But the thing is they don’t not know I am of alpha blood as well so - “NO.” I simply but firmly replied you could most definitely hear not only the authority but defiance in my voice, I was never going to be forced to anything in my life. If I was going to do it, it would be on my terms.

The funny thing is Leo was about to interrupt Jack right before I said no. He then simply looked at me tilted his head and again said ¿What?

For the next couple of seconds I stayed in silence while Jack looked at me shocked. He then said “How dare you reject my request?” I simply shrugged him off and turned to look at Leo; “If you want something, next time ask me for it yourself.” I left the discharge papers before attempting to exit the room. My wolf was angry at everybody including myself.  

Right when I was about to reach the door leo ordered “STOP.” I found myself stopping but I didn’t turn around. He then ordered Jack and Ivan to leave the room. Jack was pissed at me but I couldn’t care less. 

They both left and the minute they left the room I turned around to look at leo and said “What the hell is your problem, is this how you are used to treating people?” He didn’t say anything and just analyzed me as I continued my rant. “I don't know how things work at your pack, but with me you ask nicely and maybe I’ll consider it, it means nothing to me that you are an alpha, hell Ive been dealing with one my whole life. What do you plan me on telling my father? Yeah dad I cant return because this guy I was helping is now k********g me to be his doctor. Yeah don't worry it wasn’t a mistake letting me go to med school.” Once again making him tilt his head slightly, he then said “are you done?”. Honestly I felt a bit - not to say a lot- childish. I knew that was his purpose so I simply said “well? Do you have anything to say?” He nodded and started off. 

“First of all I apologize, I had no clue he was going to do that, although I do believe at some point he told me he was going to request for you to come with us but I was spaced out. I will speak to him about his behavior he then added. I just twisted my eyes as a sign of disbelief. Second, you are MY mate so unless you are planning on rejecting me why are you so against coming with us? - at this point he had already disarmed me, he had called me his mate again.- he then continued, I am sure your father will understand you found your mate, haven’t you told him already? I just didn’t answer. He then finished off saying Dr. Emma would you do me the honor of letting me get to know you? - I couldn’t help but smile- he finished off saying, because to be honest I have a bunch of questions”. I smiled too, he had me... I barely knew him and he already had me.
