- I want to speak to the CEO immediately! - the man in suit shouted at the petite woman behind the secretary desk. She just blinked at him with her big hazel eyes and flashed a sweet smile. - Did you have an appointment? - she asked and he sighed rubbing his temples. - I don't have an appointment, I must speak with him now! - the secretary started clicking with her mouse and her little fingers hit the keyboard quickly. She glanced back at the man and said. - I can give you an appointment for next Wednesday. - the man with his nostrils widening from anger screamed at the secretary. - Are you perhaps DEAF?! I WANT TO SPEAK WITH HIM NOW! - the blondy leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms in front of her chest. Yet, in a calm voice she said. - I'd kill for a coffee, but I have none, and that's exactly the case with the free appointments till next Wednesday. - now furiously he hit the table with his palms and the secretary's tiny plushie rolled off of the table. - DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO I AM?! - he asked and her eyes widened. - Oh My God! I'm so sorry! - she said and the man laughed. Finally this b***h recognized me! I must speak to Mr. Kane before he finds out that I lied to him. The secretary grabbed her phone and said. - Hello, please come up to the fifteenth floor, there is a gentleman who doesn't know his identity! He might need medical assistance! - the guy hit the table and shouted at her. - WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU DOING YOU b***h?! - she trembled and in a pity full voice said. - Please hurry, I'm scared for my life! - the doors of the elevator opened at that moment and two of the security from the building grabbed the man. As they dragged him away he kept screaming and cursing the secretary. One of the security guards came and asked. - Are you okay Daisy? - she picked her bee plushie up from the floor and put it back to its place. - I'm shocked, but I'm fine. Thank you for saving me! I hope he'll get the help he needs. - the security smiled at the little secretary. - Take care Daisy! - You too Micky! - he waved and followed his colleagues down the elevator. Daisy sighed and fall back into her seat. The doors of the office opened and her boss walked out. - Hinagiku, what happened? - he asked and she fixed her hair, wiping off the messy mascara from the corner of her eyes. - Nothing worthy to be mentioned! What can I do for you? - he handed her a few envelopes. - Take these to the usual place. - she bowed slightly and grabbed her coat. - Hinagiku, I've told you many times, there's no need to bow. - she glanced back over her shoulder and shrugged. - Old habits! I'll be back soon boss! - she hurried away and Marcus looked after her. It's been already two years ago since he hired her. Ever since then, Hinagiku showed her capabilities, she was very calm, kind and attentive. Although, she was clumsy and not very sharp, Marcus enjoyed her easy going attitude and that she never went against his orders. Sometimes, he had no idea how the tiny woman handled a situation, but as long as he got what he wanted he didn't care much. Marcus walked back to his office and sat behind his old wooden desk. He closed his eyes to rest a bit before the next meeting. Two years ago... - Mr Kane, please, let me retire. I've served your father and you for decades. I'm tired. - the old secretary and Marcus's eight hand was kneeling in front of him in his office. - Frank, this company and our businesses cannot work properly without your precious work. I don't think there's anyone as capable as you are. - Frank sighed, he was already sixty-five. He worked since he was eighteen years old for the Kane family as the secretary of the Kane empire and their Mafia businesses. He knew too much for them to let him go and Frank was really glad for the job he had. He could've support his family alone and all his kids. - Marcus, my third grandchild has been born already. I will never betray the family or you, but please, I'm tired. I want to be with my family. - Marcus frowned with his dark brown eyebrows at Frank. Family for him was only a responsibility and burden so he couldn't comprehend the old man's attachment to his family. But Frank's begging eyes convinced him that it's time to let him go. - Fine. Find someone capable to your place and you can retire. - Thank you Mr. Kane! I'll start with the interviews next week! - he said and almost skipped out of his office happily. I doubt you'll find someone fit for your position my old friend. - as promised, Frank started the interviews and only when he reduced the number of the candidates to three he scheduled the last round with Marcus. But something unexpected happened. Marcus grinned at the memory of the little girl literally falling into his arms while he opened the door for her. The tried to pull it with all her strength instead of pushing it. - Miss, are you okay? - he asked holding the small girl in his arms. She looked at him with her huge, cute hazel eyes. - Well hello handsome! - she said and Marcus chuckled at the sudden honesty. - Hina! Hina where are you?! - he heard Frank's voice and the girl jumped out of his arms leaving Marcus surprised. - I'm here gramps! - she said. Her voice was similar to a tiny bell play. - Dear Lord! What have you been doing there?! - Frank asked and he bowed lowly pushing his granddaughter down too. - Mr. Kane I'm incredibly sorry. Please forgive for her misbehavior! - Marcus looked at the girl who despite being pushed to bow glanced at him. He remembered her compliment just now and chuckled. -What's her name? - he asked and Frank felt a little ball in his throat. Hinagiku was a gorgeous girl. Small, delicate figure, but blessed with her chests. She inherited her father's blonde hair, and her mother's chubby yet adorable face. His older son married his colleague sweetheart, Miko Asano, and from their love this cutie was born. - Her name is Hinagiku Asano Smith, Mr Kane. My deceased son's only child. - Frank said. - Please lift your heads up. - Marcus said and the girl still looked at him amazed and with curiosity. Damn... She is cute. Marcus thought. - Frank, stop the interviews. - Frank's eyes filled with tears. That's it... Because of Hina he'll die in this office. - Mr. Kane... - Marcus extended his hand to Hinagiku and said. - Congratulations to your new position Miss Hinag... - She grabbed his hand and shook it a bit vehemently. - Call me Daisy if Hinagiku is too complicated! I can't wait to work with you! - Frank stared at them with his jaw dropped and Marcus turned to him. - Now you can retire old friend. Enjoy your peaceful days with your family! - Peaceful days he says...he just captured my granddaughter! Marcus heard a soft knock on the door and his personal assistant came in. - Sorry for the interruption. - No issue Max, what's wrong? - Marcus asked and with his ice-blue eyes searched for the answer on his friend's face. Max sighed and his brown eyes looked desperate. - Mr. Simons had been escorted out of the building and taken to the police station. It turned out there that he tried to embezzling money from us and flowing the cash to his own business. - Marcus leaned back in his chair. - Weird...what was he doing here today? - Marcus grabbed his cellphone and dialed Daisy. He put her on speaker and her kind voice sounded from the other side. - Yes Mr. Kane? - Hinagiku, did Mr Simons come searching for me today? - after a short pause. - Yes. - Why didn't you tell me? - Because you said that no one can enter to your office unless they have a scheduled appointment. He had none. I offered him a date but he didn't seem to feel well and I asked for his escort to the hospital. - Okay, thanks. Hurry back. - Yes Mr. Kane! - Marcus hang up and looked at Max. - Bring the security came footages. - Why? - Marcus shrugged. - Just a hinch.
