CHAPTER-2 Best Friend's Support

Sam’s POV:

Buzz…. Buzz….

‘Who would be calling me at 6:30PM in the evening? ‘

‘Until you pick up the phone how would you know who is calling you? Until you have magic power?

‘This stupid brain has to mock me all the time!’

Picks up the phone to see who is calling.. Oh its Fio. But she never calls me so late in the evening. Hmm..

“Hey Fio What’s up?”  Gosh why do I feel she is hurt! Must be my own imagination . But wait why do I hear her weeping in the call?

“Fiona are you okay? Are you crying? What happened?” I just hope it is not her sister again. She so knows how to get Fio in trouble!

“Hey Sam, I don’t feel good. I want to meet you now. Would you be able to come over?” She replied in between her sobs.

“Yes Fiona I’ll be there but promise me you will stop crying and tell me what happened please..” I completed my sentence amidst her sobs and geez I do feel so bad for her. She was never happy with her sister and her parents I don’t think will ever understand how lonely she feels in that huge house and her lonely shell.

“Sam I wouldn’t be able to tell you what the matter is in the call. And if my parents or my sister ask you why you have come please tell them you’re here for collecting my notes and giving me the exam schedule please. Don’t tell them I was crying.” She requested me despite the trouble she is facing. How can she still care about others even when she is in pain? She is too innocent for this painful world.

“Yes Fio I would be there in 20 minutes. Please calm down and don’t cry. And yes I would not tell them you called me.” I told her truthfully and disconnected the call.

‘If it’s her sister again she so will get it from me to hurt my dearest like this. I wonder what she has against her this time. Why can’t she just allow Fio to live her life? She is just 15 years old and not 19 years like her. She is still being so considerate on Tessa which I hate. Before I get late I need to get going to Fio.’

Fiona’s POV:

‘ Oh Sam please come soon. I am not able to think about anything else. I need your support and help now. Please come soon. It has  already been 15 minutes and he is still not here…’

Ring Ring

‘Yes he is here. Before anyone could get to the door I need to go and handle the questions mom and Tessa would ask.’

“Hey Sam.” Tessa opened the door and greeted Sam. Why did she have to come out to open the door? What will she ask him now?

“Hey Tessa.” Sam greeted back with a smile which means Get-The-Hell-Out-Of-My-Way smile.

“Hey Sam” I greeted with a genuine smile on my face which was then replaced with a frown with Tessa’s smirk.

“Fio I would like to collect the notes from you of our yesterday’s business class as I had gone for the football match practice.” Sam told me with a smile. Thank god he asked me the notes before Tessa smells something fishy with Sam’s arrival.

“Yes Sam but I’m afraid you will have to write it down or take pictures of it in your phone because Prof.Brian has given us an assignment which has to be submitted tomorrow. “ Sam gave me a I-Don’t-Understand look and I winked at him making him play along with me.

“Yes Fio, that is okay.” Sam walked to me closing the door of my room before Tessa could barge in.

‘Why is it so difficult for me to get out of the house or go to a café to talk to him about my problems? I’m afraid if Tessa or Mom will listen to our conversation.’

“Earth to Fiona” Sam yelled waving his hands in front of me.

“Uhm yes Sam, why did you yell at me now? What have I done?” I asked truthfully not knowing what I did for him to yell at me.

“Fio you are zoning out.  I asked you a question which you still haven’t answered for.” Sam replied.

“ I’m sorry, I didn’t hear your question. Would you please repeat it?” I asked Sam with a bit of worry as to what he asked.

“I asked why you were crying on the phone and if the reason was Tessa?” Sam asked me once again. Before I could reply  a lone tear rolled down my cheek.

“Yes Sam it is Tessa once again. She wants me to breakup with Watson and get into a relationship with Henry because he is a son of a Billionaire.” I sobbed continuously hugging Sam thinking he would be my only support to help me get out of this problem.

“And what if you don’t do as she says?” Sam asked me clenching his teeth.

“She is blackmailing me with the messages and pictures of Watson and I saying she will show it to mom and dad. She also told me I will be jailed at home once they see it and I really feel they would do it. They wouldn’t send me to school too Sam. I can’t let go of Watson, he is the person I love the most , he is the ray of hope in my life. Why would I breakup with him just because he is not a Billionaire?” I told Sam about the Blackmail.

“What the hell does Tessa think of herself as Fio? Why does she always interfere in your personal life and now she is pairing you up with a bloody scum bag who is useless.” Sam yelled hugging me back.

“Wait. What did you say? Scum Bag? Sam I don’t understand what you are saying will you please explain?” I asked him being completely absurd as to what he was trying to tell me.

“Henry Godman it is! Fio he is useless and always flaunts his money to everyone. He has also dated lot of young girls and let them hanging while he just tosses around with the next woman. But I wonder what made your sister pair you up with that Bastard. And being you I’m completely sure that he will use your innocence like he usually does and throw you away. Is that what your sister want for you? I despise her already and she is making it worse here by pairing you up with a jackass like Henry. Firstly why is she even his friend? Is she out of her senses? Does she know who that fellow is before she pairs you up? I guess I need to really let her know about that scum bag and talk to her about she being the worst ever sibling one could deserve.” Sam replied with rage in his eyes.

“Sam please help me. I cannot end my relationship with Watson. Please give me an idea which will not only avoid me from breaking up but will also allow me to come to school.” I cried.

‘Why should Tessa come now? Did she hear what we were talking? Nooo. It shouldn’t be what I’m thinking please.
