His Knight, His Mate

The sky is crying and the ground is slippery, but none of these matter as Wynith ran like hell. With one hand supporting her protruding stomach and the other one flailing as she ran. Her head turns back every now and then to check if the creatures are coming after her. Oh my, Child. Please guide us, my Lord. Please at least let me bring forth another life into this world. She prayed silently up above, hoping her prayers will be heard. Just one last time. Wynith whimpered in pain when she felt another contraction coming. Just be patient, my little one. A little more time and you'll see how beautiful the world is. I cannot wait to see you too, my child. She told her unborn child and hoped that she can hear her. Hope bloomed in her heart when she spotted a small cave not too far away and used all the strength left in her to push ahead. But she unfortunately did not see a large protruding root and tripped. She fell on her side and screamed in pain before shakily covering her mouth. They heard me! I need to proceed faster. She crawled her way towards the small save ignoring her now broken ankle. All she can think about that moment is the life inside of her.  Every part of her body ached, but she did her best to contain it until she reached the cave. She leaned back against the wall before wrapping her arms around her stomach where her precious child lays. Wynith gasped for air when she felt a painful contraction and tears gathered in her eyes, she was biting her lips hard to stop herself from shouting out. She tore a piece from her clothing and bit into it to silence her cries and shouts. She pushed with all her might, her nails biting the cold and wet ground with the absence of anything to hold onto. She wept in relief when she felt the head leaving her body and prepared her hand to grab her child. With one last painful push and a silent cry of happiness and distress, she held her now wailing infant. "Oh, thank God." she sent a silent prayer to the heaven and thanked them for helping her deliver her child safely. "Baby, ssh. Mommy's here." Wynith pressed a kiss on her delicate cheeks.  She can still recall the day they found out she's pregnant. Her first check-up with the doctor and the first time they saw her when they had her first ultrasound. Joy filled her body and her body rocked as she cries to the heavens. Dealing with this alone is making it hard for her. "Julius, oh how I wish you're here to see our daughter. She's so beautiful and precious." she thought out loud, thinking about her husband who protected them 'till the end. She closed her eyes when she remembers how the strange creature thrust his hand through her husband's chest. But Julius still fought with all his might and told her to run as fast and as far as she could. Who are they and why would they do this? Wynith blinked her eyes awake when she starts to feel dizzy, in her blurred vision, she discovered the cold hard ground soaked with her blood and knew that she's losing too much blood. She tried to fight it, she tried to regain her senses by shaking her head and clutching her precious daughter close to her. And then she's sobbing silently at the thought of dying and leaving her child alone and defenseless.  "God, I'm all she has left, how will she be able to pull through this? Those creatures?"  But then she smiled when her daughter stopped crying and just stares at her like she's wondering why her Mother is crying making Wynith chuckle. She touched her little hand gently and lovingly. "Mireya. Your name is Mireya." Mireya smiled at her making her cry in both joy and despair. If this is really the end, she just prays that at least her child will make it. Her blood ran cold when she heard the familiar sound of the creature's growls. She looked down at her daughter and saw the innocence in those bright amber eyes of hers. The eyes she inherited from her Father. Wynith made up her mind. If she'll die anyway, she'll die alone. She will not let them harm her precious child. With shaking hands, she kissed her now sleeping daughter and gently put her down. "Grow up to be a strong woman I desire you to be, Mireya. And when you're strong enough, avenge our death. Goodbye, my love." With one last look and smile, Wynith gathered all the strength she has left and run to try and lure the creatures away from the cave. But her injured leg and the fact that she just gave birth are making it hard for her. Her eyes widened when three creatures with shark teeth and red eyes appeared in front of her. They are grinning evilly at her and Wynith actually cowered in fear. She saw how the one in front of her looked down at her stomach and snarled angrily at her. "Where is your child? Where is she?!" She? How did they know that she gave birth to a girl? "You'll have to kill me first." Wynith spat at them and the creature growled angrily before she felt an agonizing pain inside her. She looked down and watch his arm thrust inside her chest like what he did to her husband. Reina sighed in disappointment when she witnessed how the demon ripped out the woman's heart and ate it. She was too late. She wanted to at least save the Mother because she already failed to save the Father. But regrettably, her orders are to keep the future Queen safe and right now, the said Queen woke up and began wailing like hell as if sensing her Mother's demise, drawing the demon's attention towards the cave. Reina had a peaceful life for the past hundred years without the source bothering her. But with the constant evil doings of Orburn where the Evil King, Abacia lives and rules, the source just couldn't accept it anymore and summoned her. They opened her eyes to witness the coming war that will befall Earth and Ozryn and gave her orders to keep the Queen safe. The Queen that will help her King stop a war from coming in the future between two worlds. Earth and Ozryn. Earth the world of mankind. And Ozryn, the world of the supernaturals where a powerful King will rule. The Queen, who will wake the missing piece of a werewolf. And the hope of humanity to save their lives. Before the creatures can enter the cave, Reina waved her hand and the creatures floated in the air. She removed her cloak and ignored the demons. She stepped inside the cave and carried the wailing infant. Her calming aura automatically lulled her back to sleep. "You think a mere seer like you can stop our King from taking over this world? And do you actually believe that a mere human like hers can kill our King?" the Demon who ate the woman's heart spat at her. Oh, she won't because it's not her fate. But for that to happen, Reina needs to save the Queen. And the Queen will save the Alpha King, destined to kill the Demon King. Reina's eyes glowed and she smirked. "Oh I do. In fact, if you are not afraid this mere human can stop your King. Why kill her?" Reina's teasing smile turned dangerous and with just a flick of her finger, the demons' started wailing like infants. Because, as tough as Abacia is, he knows that prophecies are meant to occur. One way or another. What a coward. Reina hissed in her mind. "Why don't I tell you what this mere seer can do? The last thing you'll see is the edge of her sword before hell claims your pathetic souls back to where it belongs." Reina can inflict pain, but she can never mess with one's fate. Because she saw what will take place in the future, she lets them go and vanished into thin air. The future Queen's safety is her top priority. Reina's eyes glowed and she smirked. "Oh I do.
