Chapter 2.

1348 Words
Cherry never knew Dana that much. She was just her older sister Apple's friend. Nothing more. But Cherry knew she must  have been really desperate to replace her as her bridesmaid last minute. She was even more lucky Cherry agreed. Cherry wanted to spend her weekend quietly reading romance novels but a wedding wasn't too bad either. She pulled the bridesmaid dress she was wearing. It was about two sizes small, it was the former bridesmaid's dress. She looked at herself again in the mirror. Her boobs were pushed up and almost bursting from the thin lavender silk. The dress fell in soft silk and gently wrapped around her figure but it was way too small for Cherry. Since it was almost three sizes small it was also tight. Cherry wondered if the former bridesmaid was a size six. She started to regret helping her sister out as she struggled with the dress. She and Dana were not friends, they rarely talked and up until Dana needed a replacement bridesmaid she didn't extend an invitation to Cherry. Cherry also didn't want to accept the invitation, until her sister Apple stepped in. To top it all off she looked so pale in the lilac dress. Her hair was looking good and her makeup too but she couldn't see much since she was forced to take off her glasses. She didn't bring along her contacts, but they made her eyes dry so she decided to leave them at home. "You look amazeballs!!!!!" Apple was giggling and squealing like crazy. Her excitement would have made people think she was the bride. Apple used to have black hair like her sister's, they both inherited the extra pale gene so she dyed her hair blonde. She had been dying it blonde since high school and it really suited her. Apple was always known as the gorgeous sister. She had long flowing blonde hair and a lovely figure. She was also way taller than her elder sister, a feature that always made her stand out wherever she went. Although the same could not be said for her sister Cherry. Cherry was shorter and paler than her sister. Unlike her sister who could easily pass for a model, Cherry was the chubby sister who had to deal with extra weight and being called chubby all her life. After years of being called the chubby sister, Cherry finally lost the baby fat and became the curvy sister. "We have to work faster. Everyone is already at the church. They are practically just waiting for the bride." Apple hurried a few of the bridesmaids up by helping them add finishing touches to their outfits before coming back to her sister. Cherry threw her hands up in mock surrender. "Well I'm ready too. I just hope my boobs don't fall out in this ridiculous dress" Apple chuckled and shrugged. "You look hot! Guys would be drooling all over you." "Yea. Looking like a hot mess I bet they would" she murmured lowly as she fixed her makeup at the vanity mirror. They all rushed and got into the car to make it to the church, one particular bridesmaid who she believed her sister called Evie was staring intently at her breasts. "Are you sure you want to wear that? It looks a bit slutty." She commented and she sighed loudly. "I really have no choice. And remember this dress wasn't even made for me. I'm only filling in for the bridesmaid who can't make it." Cherry didn't even know why she was  explaining herself to her. She knew the statement was made intentionally to spite her. She mentally face palmed herself, Evie was right. She was showing an awful amount of cleavage for one who was so modest. But it wasn't her choice and the only way she could stop it was if she decided not to be a bridesmaid anymore. Something her sister Apple definitely wouldn't be happy about. It was also Dana's wedding anyways, Cherry believed that all the guests would be focused on the bride. Not her. They were handed their bouquets of pretty white hydrangeas and they started walking the minute the wedding procession started. Cherry had never been so nervous, it was a big wedding, in a large catholic church sitting about a thousand guests. There was an orchestra in the background playing the Wedding March and the aisle was decorated with red and pink rose petals. The last time Cherry had walked down an aisle was when she was a flower girl and she was three, chubby with sticky fingers and a puffy gown at her Aunt Petunia's wedding. Everyone was waiting and looking at each bridesmaid as they walked down the aisle. The groomsmen were already in position as Amelia took her stand right next to the other bridesmaid... It was a tasking effort, trying to smile widely and pleasantly while waiting for the bride and her family to walk down the aisle. Finally, the bride Dana came in. Her wedding gown was a beautiful blush princess ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and a corseted waist. The train took up half the entire aisle and there was a large tiara on her head. Everyone was awestruck at the amount of extravagance and that oozed from the wedding dress. Every part of Dana was glittering with sarkowski crystals and diamonds. The service started and the priest started a long sombre speech that Cherry was sure nobody was ready to listen to. The couple themselves looked very impatient as they seemed to be waiting for the Priest to jump to the vows part. Later the couple are asked to recite their vows and the rings are exchanged. Finally the Priest asked the question that it seemed the Bride and groom were waiting for and everyone cheered when the couples kisses. Cherry was silently happy that they were done with the wedding and everyone else cheered loudly while Cherry smiled uncomfortably, shifting her weight from one leg to the other. The Priest started trying to subtly pry the Groom away from the bride as they continued kissing for longer than two minutes and everyone sure looked tired from clapping for them. Gosh! They kiss like pornstars Cherry thought as she shook her head. She was very tempted to shout 'Get a room!' The reception turned out to be much worse despite the pretty decorations. With the steady flow of champagne and music, it practically unleashed the monsters in every one. But, Cherry would expect no less from Dana's wedding, she was of course the self proclaimed queen of debauchery. And she and her husband looked very wasted at the moment. She could see it in the way they danced and it wasn't even time for speeches yet. But at least it was a great wedding one everyone would remember. Everyone that was not stuck up loosened up and had fun. Even if it meant embarrassing themselves and keeping things wild. She wished that she could leave, but she didn't want her sister Apple talking to her about loosening up. Her sister also mentioned the fact that she rarely had fun, especially while with her ex boyfriend Henry. She used to label them as the definition of boring as their hobbies were reading together and going to Star Wars convention. Although they didn't last, Cherry believed that they had their fun in their own way. She decided that she would stay for the cake and have some more wine. Cherry knew she had to be careful with the drinks, because she was an incurable alcoholic and it took her long enough to admit it but for the sake of herself she avoided alcohol. She was still looking around for familiar waiters and her eyes spotted a very familiar face. It was the guy from the Cafe, the one that she thought was really cute but didn't really seem to be as into her as Cherry thought. He was also waving at her! Cherry's eyes widened in surprise as she waved a little. Even before she completed her wave he started walking towards her and Cherry's eyes widened as she tried to duck but he already noticed her and he was a few paces away from her table.
