DAMIAN POV Pacing my room, I am about to lose my mind. I just had s*x with Elsa. I did not only have s*x with her; I almost marked her. “This is all your fault, you horny teenager,” I screamed at my wolf in my mind. But instead of understanding the severity of the situation, he howled in joy. “You are only annoyed with me because you enjoyed it too!” he screamed back at me. Fuck! I, too, knew that was true. The s*x couldn't compare to what I had with Eve. I never knew it would be this hard to control my wolf. Ever since we found our mate, he has gotten more possessive. "He almost marked Elsa; I almost marked Elsa!". I screamed to myself. If Eve found out about this, hell would break loose. I have to make sure Elsa leaves this pack. I finally laid down, but I kept getting flashbacks of what happened. I could feel that the mate bond was forcing me to want more of it. "This is total madness!"" I was exasperated. "I have to make sure that Eve doesn't hear anything about this. I have to warn Elsa sternly."" Before it was first light the next day, I woke up and went to Elsa’s room. I saw her curled up on one side of the room; she started shaking immediately after I came in. From the look in her eyes, I could tell she was scared, but I didn't care, or so I made myself believe. ""Listen to me, Elsa; no one must hear about what happened last night. If anyone hears about it, I will make your life in this pack a living hell. Do you understand?"" She nodded her head, and I turned to leave. But before I left, I had to make something clear to her. I turned back to her, and in a low and firm voice, I said to her. ""Don't think for one minute that, because of what happened, I want you as my Luna and mate. That was just my wolf acting up because he feels an attachment to you."" "You took my virginity." She said, her voice was low. "I didn't! My wolf did."" I replied angrily. "If you really didn't want me, you should have kept your wolf under control; you took advantage of my weakness." She said, her voice quivering. ""Can you boldly say you didn't enjoy it? You are only blaming your wolf because that will make you feel better."" Her words were making me furious, more so because they were true. ""Since when did you get so bold?. You better be careful of what you say."" I told her and stormed out of the room. I decided to go to Eve’s room. I pushed the door open, walked in, and joined her on the bed. She hummed and turned around. Kissing me on the cheeks, she asked. “Why are you up so early?”. "I wanted to talk to you about something," I said. She sat up and looked at me closely. “Are you okay?” She asked. "Yeah, I am fine. It's nothing you need to worry about."" She nodded, and she waited for me to say what I had in mind. ""I want to reject Elsa. You are more fit to be Luna, not her."" I told her softly. She looked surprised. “Are you sure?” She asked gently, rubbing my arm. “Yes, I will talk to the Alpha today. The sooner I do it, the faster she can leave the pack and our lives.” She looked at me sweetly and nodded. “That's true”. I held her face and kissed her deeply before leaving the room. I knocked and entered the Alpha’s office. “Good morning, Alpha,” I greeted him. ""Good morning, son. You are here early"". Scratching my head, I thought of the best way to explain it to him. "Yes, dad, there is something I want to talk to you about." "Okay, I am listening." He said. Without beating around the bush, I told him. "I want to reject Elsa." My face portrays my seriousness about the issue. “She is not strong enough to be Luna, and she doesn't have a wolf.”. He raised his head from the document he was perusing. " The moon goddess doesn't make mistakes, son. I am also not pleased about this development, but I don't think rejecting her is the best way to go. " He said to me, I sighed heavily. " I don't know about that, but I know I don't want her." I told him with a determined look. “Okay. You will soon become the Alpha of the pack, so I will believe this is a rational decision you are making." He said, removing his glasses. “But you do know that it is believed that pups from your mate have stronger genes than pups from another female, right?”. “Don't you think you would want some pups from Elsa?”. I hit my hand on the table, anger coursing through me. ""Why would I want pups from Elsa? What if she gives me pups that don't have wolves or are as weak as her? Never! I won't mate with her."" The Alpha charged up at me, his eyes glowing gold, showing me that his wolf was in control, and they hated being disrespected. "You shouldn't disrespect me." His voice boomed through the office. I immediately bowed my head in respect. My father had always trained me with an iron fist, and though he has recently reduced it, I still know not to provoke him. “Sorry Alpha”. I said immediately. “I didn't mean to disrespect you.” “Leave now!" I left the room, and after waiting a few minutes, I was certain that he would have calmed down. I returned to the office. “I am sorry about what happened earlier, Alpha." “It's alright”. He replied. ""I wish to reject Elsa, take Eve as my mate, and mark her. She is stronger and more qualified."" I said to him, “This pack will soon be yours to rule with your mate. The Luna position is a very important position, so I will allow you to make the call. Do whatever you want." You can go now, he said to me. I stand up, and just as I am about to leave, I ask him, “How do you reject your mate?.” “I, Damian, reject you, Elsa, as my mate." He said, “But remember, she has to accept the rejection for it to work, and it is a painful process.” I nodded, then turned and left. As I stepped outside, I felt the urge to run and release my frustrations. I removed my clothes, turned into my wolf, and dashed off towards the forest. After running for hours, my wolf got tired and laid down. “Are you really going to reject her?” A voice spoke behind me, causing me to turn sharply. “Mum?” I was surprised. “You are dead; what are you doing here?” “That's not why I am here. Do not reject Elsa; she is a nice girl, and she will give you strong pups. If you do not listen, you will regret it.” She turned around and started walking away. I called out to her, “Mum! Mum! I don't understand.” But her only reply was, “Heed my words, son.” And she disappeared. “Mum!” I shouted, waking up. I was breathing heavily. Realising it was only a dream, I willed myself to calm down.
